Until this translates to inclusive growth, it really doesn't matter if our dear country is number 1 on the list. It's really funny how folks here trade blame on such news as this Seriously, beyond all the blame game and sentimental "praise song", I think it's time our policy makers gave urgent attention to fixing our institutions "Cos this is the viable channel through which the so called "increased GDP" can make positive impact on average citizen; stamp-out corruption, put in place good governance, fix the legal system, reform our educational system, etc. And who says China can't out grow U.S ![]() |
Quite interesting. Although, I think it all boils down to the flow and terms of their rapour. |
braimeddy:Got it! Amazing! Thanks. |
Oops! |
Quite Revealing! I guess this is what happens when we have accumulated gross mismanagement of resources and high incidence of "misprioritize" projects cum lack of innovative thinking on how to properly harness domestic resources to generate self-sustaining income at the state level. Borrowing is not totally bad but it sucks when borrowings are used to fund recurrent expenditures instead of viable capital projects. I guess some states are not sound enough to be a STATE, after all! |
Not bad. Looking forward to more of such; at least, this might help reduce the leakage in our national purse that results from going abroad for such medical treatment. Bravo! #God_Bless_Nigeria |
Yeah! It's all about being a responsible Man. Get a LIFE before you gravitate towards getting a wifey and not vice versa ![]() Got the puzzle below sent into my inbox recently and am kinda semi-confuse ![]() What do YOU think attract women the most to men? Is it: a) Money b) Looks c) Personality d) Sexual appeal e) Other ... (write your answer here) |
Yeah! It's funny, laughable and can be disgusting ![]() Although, it's not just a guy-lady gesture; guys too do get such comments from other guys. I think some do it in the "spirit of courtesy and appreciation" ![]() |
Jarus:Lol @ toothpick mockery of Emefiele They really got loads of punches to throw around. |
Miscalculated and illegal risk; another hole in the financial statement ![]() Shareholders expected return going... CBN doing there statutory job! |
Impressive! |
MathsChic:Leave? Nah! Stay. Don't leave, at least for now. With time, the rapour should be restored. Ofcourse, it might not be "just as it used to be" but the beefing will subside. Sometimes, leaving life independent of what others think is needful ![]() But then, don't act as if you are anyway better(even if you are) ~Let them know you guys are still colleagues ![]() Is like you now have a lot to prove to lots of people. I wish you the best! And please, ride with care. |
Very true! |
MathsChic:Wao! Girls now doing multiple ![]() "Win-win for her". Seems you're talking "the game" here. And my prediction is: this guy(specimen 1) ain't gonna win "Cos it seems she's most likely gonna be the winner and someone is gonna go down(win-lose situation) while she takes up Specimen 2 then 3...4...and Oops! I guess it's gonna be cyclical "Cos there might be just that other guy she will definitely like "Probably just a little more."~ your words ![]() I think girls need to know what they want per time and settle for it ![]() How are you today? |
It happens. The best you can do for her as well as yourself is to "let go". Help her if you can but if you can't; "free her". Let's learn to sometimes give without expecting anything in return. Move on dude. You will do yourself a lot of good if you define what you want at the outset of any relationship. I still don't see reason why guys do try to adopt series of manipulative techniques on ladies~ Let love find it's course na ![]() |
MathsChic:Really? "as much as" Comparatively, I doubt if two people can be liked thesame 'way'(degree). No need for the second if the first is really liked and I think the recent will most likely command more likes than the former in most case |

I look forward to a time when this country will start listening to the National Think Tanks (NISER and the likes) as well as effectively implement the various policy recommendations made. |

Focus on your transferable skills -- and stay positive. When companies put up job descriptions for open positions, they are essentially trying to do two things: 1) get applicants excited about their company, and 2) get the right candidates to apply for the role. The idea is to communicate clearly the role, responsibilities, and expectations from the position. But, quite often, job descriptions are more of a wish-list for the ideal candidate than a checklist of traits every possible applicant must possess. Just like in real life, ideal scenarios are rare. If you feel you are not qualified in a few of the listed areas, but know that you would be able to do a good job, you may be right. Go ahead and apply. But because you don’t fully fit the bill, you may have to make some extra effort to get your foot through the door of the interviewing room. Here’s how. 1. List out all the skills and qualifications you think you have from the job description. These are going to be the areas you can highlight in your cover letter. 2. List out skills and qualifications you don’t directly have, but may still be able to do, because of your transferable skills. As Lily Zhang writes at The Muse, “This approach shifts the conversation away from relevant experience and more toward whether you can do that job or not.” 3. Connect with someone working at the company to get insights into the role and learn from their experience working in the company. Hopefully, you can also have them refer you into the company. An internal reference is one of the most effective ways of getting your resume seen by someone in the organization. 4. Do some in-depth research beyond what is available on the company website. Set up alerts to gather more information about the company and stay updated. This research will help you connect the importance of your role to the company’s future plans. You can use this in the cover letter, too! 5. Write a cover letter to highlight your transferable skills. The cover letter creates a clear connection between the skills that you possess and how that will be beneficial to the role that you are applying to. 6. Focus on the positive. Zhang advises job seekers to stop apologizing for skills they don’t have and to turn the focus on to skills that they do have. “I’m eager to translate my success in this administrative position to a more client-focused role” instead of “While I only have work experience doing administrative tasks…” 7. Highlight experiences where you may have used the skills – volunteering experiences, part-time jobs, grad school experiences (if you are a recent grad). 8. Work on your resume too.Customize it as much as possible and make it relevant to the job. The Applicant Tracking System is going to screen your resume for keywords, and making the resume in line with the requirements will help. The bottom line is, the requirements listed on job descriptions are not sacrosanct – they are just good to have, so that shouldn’t deter you from applying to the job, if you realistically feel you have the skills and the capability to deliver to expectations. **I hope this helps someone out/in there/here** http://time.com/money/4084240/get-the-job-when-underqualified/?xid=frommoney_soc_socialflow_twitter_money |
