Note: family planning is free in PHC, I almost fell into the trap and would've paid 20k in my hospital for the same implant if one good Samaritan nurse didn't advise me

The only person I know​ that did the implant kept growing fat until she took it out and all the weight came off. And I was struggling to lose weight before I got pregnant, I don't want to add to the wahala

I got mine at Kupa early april, and I didn't have any of the 'side effects' Mr google mentioned. No unusually heavy period or crampings during menses. I come de wonder if the thing still dey there. ..

The first time I was feeling very nauseous (vomited a few times), and I was feeling 'kicks in my stomach. Did pregnancy test and scan and the scan detected it was in my cervix.
Doc removed that one and put another one by himself this time, first was done by the nurses, on Monday last week. DH complained he was feeling the copper then I started having spotting, pains and burning sensation when I pee. Went in today and doc discovered it has expelled again.

So I had to take out my IUCD for the second time cos my body kept expelling it into my cervix.
My doc now recommends the arm implant which I'm against cos I heard it causes weight gain.
Condom? Bleh!!!
Mentioned ocp to my doc and he said it'll fail and I'd get pregnant.
Now I'm seriously considering Billings method

Any success stories on billings method?

Yes he was not accepting, so I changed d teat of his bottle to very softer one.

Thanks. We went to the hospital and he tested positive for infection.
The "Mouth thrush" only turned out to be milk residue, it should have occurred to me o cos he only started taking formula from the bottle the day before . IV learnt my lesson about self diagnosis
It's the infection that's making him not eat...we were given antibiotics and Bcomplex.

Please take your baby to the hospital to rule out ear infection.
If infection is ruled out, then it might just be that the back of his ears isn't being washed and dried properly.

My neighbors growing up never circumsized thier babies or toddlers....they wait till they are about 14/15 before doing it and they do it in the house. the crying, no wailing was nightmarish!
They were from the north (those Arab looking ones) and had different families living there at different times cos they kept subletting to thier relatives....so we witnessed quite a number of circumcisions

3 weeks is still ok. He would cry but when you breastfeed him he would sleep off and hopefully won't feel the pain afterwards. My nephew was 2 months when they did his.

No ma. It's not painful because it's done in Nigeria. Where, the method and who does the circumcision determines the pain.

@ Gr8fulHeart, I had my first son in 2008, he was circumcised in a private hospital here in Lagos by my gynae and he did not cry and it was ok after some days. Same with d second one in 2010. I think they were circumcised 1 month after birth.
If you do it d traditional way, expect pain and loss of blood because they use razor and fire. I really don't know but it's very painful. I don't know d method they use in general hospitals but if you're using a private one with modern equipment, it's d same experience you'll get anywhere in d world.

My nephew was circumcised in a private hospital in Nigeria and the boy cried and even refused to eat.. I don't think they are given pain numbing medicine.
My son was given pain numbing medicine and he was sleeping peacefully when they brought him back to me after the circumcision.

Are you doing it in Nigeria? If yes, then it's painful... Very painful.
How old is your baby? The earlier it's done the better because when they are still a few days old they get over the pain quicker than when they are older.

Lmao. I wear size 4-6 clothes but I'm a G cup. Infact 32G like Sugah sef . The only place I buy bras is at Soma and Wacoal. Cos I went to Victoria secrets and the idiot salesgirl said it out loud to me (and everyone else there). We don't carry your size!!

You might have to get resized for a bra though, cos I used to wear D cups then, but the will always jump up annoyingly. The bras I get from those places might be expensive but they're very durable and last looonggg! Now I'm even able to wear strapless bra. Praise the lord!!

I actually worry the wrong band size of bra all my life! I wore a 36D even while I was weighing less than 60kg. Then it increased to Double D but until I went to dunni's and she measured me to be a 32waist size. The difference is clear with my new bras, I can actually run in them without having to hold my boobs.
Most naija women wear wrong size of bra.

In my opinion, being a Nigerian(or African) host matters mainly because we are aware of what you are in town for and there is a little bit more compassion. Oyinbo and other African Americans(from what I've heard) treat you like you're doing something illegal. Then there is the issue of racism and that's the last thing you want to expose yourself to when you're pregnant. It happens still in 2017.

I understand that. But I stayed with an African American man, I told him why I was coming/staying that long and he was amazing and also gave me a massive discount.
I am yet to stay with a Nigerian host so I'd leave my comments till when I do. But we have read on NL how Nigerian hosts have maltreated thier guests (although not Airbnb) and I have a feeling the Nigerian Airbnb host would act like they are doing you a favor.
I had a Nigerian nurse that was acting like she paid my hospital bills......
That's just my opinion though .
