My plan of breastfeeding my lo until he's 2 has come crashing down on me. My breastmilk has completely (well almost) stopped flowing
Right from after delivery I struggled to keep my supply up. I drank pap so tey I turned orobo, took bottles and bottles of fenugreek, drank palmwine, drank fennel tea, drank garri....all only gave temporary boost.
My Lo no kuku help matters, he weaned himself from my boobs when he was 3months when I dint breastfeed him cos I had flu and my nanny only fed him using his bottle.
My MIL once said, sugah your breast is big na milk should be surplus.This pregnancy increased my cup size from DD to H (yes, I also counted the numbers on my fingers when I went for a new bra fitting), but they say people with small breasts make more milk. God please give me a B cup in my next life!
I have thrown in the towel. I'd continue giving him formula....at least I thank God I persevered and did EBF for 6months so I don't feel like a total failure
He used to only suck when he wants to sleep, but recently even that too has stopped. He just ends up playing with my teats..... I guess it's time to return the boobs to the original owner (at least he's happy about the size increase)

In other news, please who knows treatment for oral trush? My LOs tongue and inner mouth has whitish stuff which I googled and found to be oral trush but no treatment online. Please help.

Question is, is the host being a Nigerian the only reason you are considering the listing?
Does the listing have all that you require?

You could send the host a mail and have a chat with him/her.. from there you might be able to judge the kind of person he/she is.


... although I have a feeling you might be having some"unusual" expectations cos of the owners nationality.

Florida is a big state you know. There's no point giving you doctors contact in Tallahassee if you plan to stay in Tampa.

Narrow your search down to the town you would be staying unless you are up for going to anywhere in Florida.

You would need to read the reviews of the particular listing you are interested to rent. Oyinbos say it as it is, so if there's a problem with the listing you are sure to see it in the reviews.


.....that said, I used Airbnb for my missionary journey and my host was super awesome just like the other reviewers mentioned.

Yes, normal oat like Quaker oats but blended to flour.

I so agree with you!, like 2 years ago i had gotten the nuby babyfood blender/ steamer set for a friend and was thinking of getting one for myself, but no space to put it so i started looking at all the gadgets i currently own! and voila, gathering dust at the back of my cupboard was my hand blender.

It is ideal for small quantities. you can easily blend / purree one or two portions to a very smooth consistency, you don not need to add to much liquid and you do not need to fill it till half for it to blend well.

when i discovered it, the way i felt ehn! you will think i discovers a pot of gold in my backyard!

all i use is my largest mug with high sides with a piece of kitchen towel over the top of the mug to reduce splashes..... Done!

This was what I was too lazy to type.
Mine came with a cup for blending.

I think I saw the tip from one of your posts back when I was preparing for this phase.

Lunch is served:
Sweet potatoes + sweet corn+ carrot + chicken + Titus fish. So yummy!


Tip for mothers going this organic route and looking to buy a different blender for baby food, please invest in a hand blender​! It saves lives and time. Iv used both normal blender and hand blender and I can tell you the difference is clear.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

If you check back some pages, some mamas listed what has worked for them. Personally, Dove soap and E45 moisturizer works for us.

Was not blind, met within 3 wks, got pregnant, told my parents i cant marry her cos i dont know her well, sbut they said in order to avoid shame for her family cos her pops was a pastor and that i woudnt want the same fate to become of my own daughter, that i'll just have to marry her. Thats where the story of my life began.

I couldn't really understand your initial write up...but from this your post I have just one thing to say..... Please do a DNA test on the child if you haven't already.

Is it better now? Green could mean a hindmilk/foremilk issue or infection. Mucus could mean infection.

If it still persists, please see a doctor. ORS only treats the dehydration that results from diarrhea but doesn't cure the cause of the diarrhea.

3-4 times a day?
Is it greenish..does it have mucus or blood? Is the consistency normal?
If none of the above, then there's nothing to worry about.

Ok. You might also want to reduce the number of times you bath her. We bath once a day(at night) but still apply the moisturizer in the mornings.

Akorkor go see a pediatrician.
Ours recommended Dove sensitive soap and Neutrogena (although I switched to E45 as it can be used on babies from​ 3months) and his skin is clear

I also made this mistake in my first visit visa. I put the contact of a friend because I thought it's just a means to identify me. His location was NC and my intended visit location was FL.
The VO asked my relationship with him, if I'd be visiting and if I was running away to marry the guy
Good thing I already had an F1 visa and returned to naija, I might have been denied.


****But the major ish might be the 'visas' on the passport..... Search well, flip through your passport again and be sure an agent did not 'put' a visa on it.
Next time be clear on your purpose of visit.
