Thanks, but I want to start weaning her by month end,so what do you think I can do?
One doesn't really need to eat for two to make breastmilk. You only need about 500calories more to sustain a good supply...That said, you need about 5 small meals a day but don't suddenly reduce your intake cos the sudden decrease would affect your supply. Substitute high carb foods for moderate carb ones... That's sweet potatoes for yam, oatmeal for garri, eat lots of vegetables and stay very hydrated.
Don't take very heavy meals at nighttime.
Exercises would also help.

Why is sugar harmful to Babies below 1 year?

1. Sugar is refined by lot of chemical processes which may be harmful to children.

2. Excess sugar may cause caries and tooth decay in children.

3. Excess of sugar may depress immunity.

4. Research has also shown that children fed with high sugar diet were prone to cardiovascular, diabetes and obesity.

What to substitute for sugar in baby foods?

Although your baby doesn’t need sweetening of foods daily, you can add natural sweeteners to Kheers, Porridges, baby-friendly cakes, and desserts.

Natural Sweeteners for Baby food

1. Any fruit can be added to baby food to make them naturally sweet

2. Dates Syrup (After 8 months)

3. Honey (After 1 year)

*****Thought to share this.
Just for the new moms that aren't aware of this, giving honey to baby's under one can cause BOTULISM a fatal condition.

@ Fed.dy27 and sug.ah. Weldone mamas.i av written down all those your food combo. The +milk part means formula milk right?
@ sug.ah .thanks for sharing with us all these helpful recipes. what type/brand of oat do you use for swallow. How do you blend it. At home with blender or outside?
I use regular Quaker oats and blend using the dry mill of my blender. Then just make like you make semo.
+Milk is either formula or breastmilk.

I decided to make homemade meals for my daughter.

Examples of what she takes:

1. Sweet potatoes+chicken+peas
2. Millet/Guineacorn pap + apples + milk (I make the pap by myself)
3. Ground rice + carrot + milk
4. Oats +banana + milk
5. Maize pap + peanut butter or avocado + milk
5. Irish potatoes + carrots + fish

All these meals listed above, I blend them to puree, add formula before giving it to her. You can try to play around recipes too. Check mummysyum.com; you will get nice ideas
Yes o, homemade all the way.
We make our oat into swallow and he takes it with any soup on the menu. That's his best meal!
At 7 months I also introduced beans and plantain porridge.

It's a lot easier if you have good power supply as you can prep the foods and store in the freezer. I make quantity of about a week, put in ice cube trays and freeze and put in labelled Ziploc bags. Then you just mix your combo.... Easier that way for working mom's.

This should be an eye opener to people looking for Internet strangers to share accommodation with (especially the person looking to share her chase suites room), you might just be opening your life up to a Looney. Not everyone on the internet is mentally, psychologically and emotionally normal.

I have no idea sis. My son doesn't eat formula at all. I tried to put some Enfamil that I got in the mail in his rice cereal and he kept vomiting the two times I tried. So I stopped it.
But IMO both are good. I was given Enfamil at my pediatrician's office and the hospital I had him, while we got Similac from the hospital he was at for jaundice. So I guess peds will recommend both.
I used enfamil for my son he vomited. I was asked to get Similac sensitive something for him he vomited as well. Feddy27 recommend isomil (soybased Similac) and he doesn't vomit it. That's what we have been using. You might want to try soybased milk too.
If I even give him cereal that contains milk like frisogold etc, he vomits it.
Anyways your breastmilk supply is fantastic you no need formula. How are you guys doing?

This is the baby "eczema" we were talking about some days ago.
What worked for us is E45 moisturizing lotion. One mama said Vaseline worked for her, Shea moisture baby eczema range worked for one and another said Aveeno eczema therapy worked. So choose what you can based on your pocket

Sorry I forgot to explain that. Co-wash means washing with conditioner. You would apply the conditioner like you would your shampoo and wash the hair

Akorkor pull ups are just to help toddlers get used to the idea of wearing pants (pull up feature) while still keeping the function of disposable diapers.

Good day mama. My almost 4 months old daughter hair is very thick,a big comb cannot pass through it and whenever I comb it she cries so much. I wash her hair once a week with sabamed shampoo for children but after then it's still thick. Please help mama's as I don't know what to do.

Ccmamas
Just some tips from a natural haired woman.
Get a moisturizing shampoo for her.
Conditioner for co-washing
Coconut oil/Shea butter
A very wide tooth comb.

You can co-wash every day and shampoo wash once a week.
Section her hair into 4 and apply coconut oil and Shea butter on each section and massage into the hair while detangling with your fingers.
Hold the hair by the base and gently comb the tips of the hair and move to the base.

If you can find it, buy a leave-in conditioner for babies for her
Never comb the hair when it's dry. If you want to comb it in-between baths, just sprinkle water on her hair to moisturize it first before combing.

The LOC method (Liquid e.g water, Oil e.g coconut oil and Cream e.g Shea butter) helps the hair to retain it's moisture.

I don't recall that there are "government" hospitals in the US. Hospitals here are privately owned, except maybe VA hospitals.

Be that as it may, the hospital you use is not the problem, the issue is when you use public assistance in defraying the costs of childbirth. That is not allowed under the terms of your visa.
There are public ( usually government funded) hospitals, non-profit hospitals and private hospitals in US.

hello ma,how is ur lo??
my son's dry skin has cleared for now.
i said before that doctor asked me to use original Vaseline blue seal for him, that is what i have been using since that made me to hold on those ones you and other mamas suggested..

but,i noticed that whenever he has high fever, dry skin will surface.
We are fine dear, thanks.
Why is he having the high fever and how often? I would be more concerned about that o. You can always continue using the Vaseline

Air conditioning is actually very drying for skin and hair. any air conditioner has a de-humidifying function i.e it removes water from the atmospher (that is why it drips /drains on the outside.) as very humid air is very difficult to cool.

don't confuse cooling with moisturising.
I am not confused. The irony was the sweating under normal climes but having very dry skin. He sweats so much that I cannot directly place a blanket over him while he is in an airconditioned room cos he would sweat.

Do you understand now?

Is it a continuous use tin.or for treatment.

I use sheabutter, coconut oil n and zinc cream.but after sometime when i stop. It reappears again.am worried of the effect of continous zinc cream.

Thats why am looking for a one stop cream.
She sweats alot n sleeping on her back doesnt help matters
The irony eh? Dry skin but they sweat a lot.
I don't cover my LO directly even with the AC on, I just use the blanket to cover his cot else he would not sleep yet he has dry skin.
Maybe you should switch to a moisturizing lotion instead of the zinc? Cos it might take a while for the skin type to change, that is if it ever changes embarassed
HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by sugah: 10:49am On Apr 03, 2017
Akorkor it's baby ezcema. Get any range of baby products designed to treat baby ezcema and she would be fine. Coconut oil might not be sufficient to treat it.
Aveeno or Shea moisture have some good products.
We use E45.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by sugah:
abujaniv:
Hello all. Apologies for barging in on your thread, but the issue of fake visas and stamps is an important one. We can not put a legitimate US visa into a passport that has counterfeit endorsements in it. Sometimes we see otherwise qualified applicants with fake stamps in their passport, and this is really unfortunate. It means that at the very least, they will have to get a new passport to be considered again for a US visa, but their credibility is irrevocably tarnished. If an applicant comes into the US Embassy/Consulate with fake or ill-got visas/stamps, the best case scenario for him/her is that they will be denied. The worst case scenario is that the applicant will be arrested on the spot, incarcerated, and hit with a lifetime ban on travel to the US.
Demidrason, as you can see, you are lucky you weren't arrested on the spot. Provide the information they asked of you and be ready to face the consequences of your actions or inaction.
Good luck!
