Favouredmom: So does it mean the manual does the same work as the electric pump? I ask because I don't want to waste money unnecessarily if this one will pump enough for my LOs in a short time frame. The change era reach my side here This is how they market it. If you are a housewife/with plenty of time on your hands...buy manual If you are a working woman....buy electric Basically, they do same thing but one takes longer than the other. |

feddy27: O lord! You can say that again! I've passed out 3times wen I had my son and food ws the culprit! No be person advise me again! Breastfeeding itself will mk u lose weight + all d stress of parenting, den u wan join dieting, OYO is the person's name The culprit of your almost fainting might have been thirst/ dehydration. Breastfeeding dehydrates the body fast so drinking lots of water would help. You know weight watchers would tell you that when you are 'hungry' drink water....then if the hunger persists then you are truly hungry. Cos our brain doesn't really differentiate hunger from thirst. |

Kittana: Ok thanks. I've heard about that azithromycin in pregnancy too. My next ANC appointment is on monday and hopefully will be with an actual doctor, with whom I can discuss my symptoms. Don't think I can stand another nurse arguing with me that I couldn't have had it and conceived, even though I showed her my HVS report. Buh if the doc doesn't take me seriously either, I might have to do a lil self-medicating oo. The amount of discharge I'm having is worrisome. You should know discharge in pregnancy is very normal. As long as it doesn't itch or smell. I took the drugs before I got to 8weeks...if I were you I would not self medicate on antibiotics..... aren't you past 8weeks already? |

Kittana: Hi Sugah. Please d'you think the procedure you shared for controlling bacterial load, will work for a moderate growth of staph aureus? Or will it be too aggressive an approach? Even though I managed to conceive with it, I can't seem to get the fact that I might still have it, off my mind. Of cos, I hope to commence any kind of serious treatment after offloading. Besides, Idk if the staph and candida will affect LO inside belle. It might be a tad too much for staph. Better too much than too little, hey? I got a modified prescription when I got preggers, it was just the azithromycin for some days for some weeks in the early days. |

BritneyStacy: Not too fine ;hence my inability to come here. Battling high blood pressure due to sleeplessness. ..... Mumsy that has been helping too her b.p is rising especially as she was hypertensive already. ..So it's not easy with me. Ekene doesn't sleep for long at all. I manage to time him to bath and even eat everyday. Please do you have breast bump electric for sale? Sorry dear. You definitely need a breast pump. My DS sleeps more at night cos his father doesn't pity him. He feeds him about 2-3 ounces of expressed breastmilk every 3hrs, changes his diapers and Ayomide sleeps soundly. So you need to make a plan. Nurse during the day, let your mum get her sleep during the day also. Then pump enough bm to last him through the night and put in the fridge. As long as he is well fed, diaper dry and room temp ok, he should sleep fine. |

limsycutey: Pintoxx I think you should buy both. Buy size 1 but don't buy the big carton of 200Plus count. When I had my daughter, we didn't finish the carton of huggies before she grew out of size 1 and started wearing size 2. This time around I bought Kirkland Supreme instead cos it starts with size 1-2 that can be worn up to 7kg (the one I got is 136 count) and a couple of molfix size 1 pack of 12 for my hospital bag. I think the best thing is to buy half or a little less than half of size 1 and 2 just to be on the safe side, don't forget that they use a lot of diapers in the first few weeks... Hello dear, please did you buy the Kirkland diapers in Nigeria? If yes, where and how much |

5minsmadness: Well go through my previous posts then. naah, not going to bother
Of course i didnt mean the 'just delivered woman playing football' thing literally. Was trying to guage your level of 'up and about'. I listed my 'up and about activities in a bracket, go back and read it... slowly Saying you were perfectly fine on the second day post-surgery sounded like a "silly" statement to me. perfectly fine? Go back and read my comment again, slowly this time.Hence my asking you to clarify.
You're having gone through the process isnt in contention here, your rate of recovery is. Once again, go back and read the initial comment you quoted |
Health › Re: Graphic Photos: Cesarean Section Step By Step In Photos. by sugah: 7:38am On Sep 14, 2016 |
5minsmadness: I'll tell you the 'wound'she was talking about.
To get the baby out, you have to cut through the skin, subcutaneous tissue, fascia, seperate muscle, cut the uterus itself, before getting to the baby. Its not just the scar u see on the surface of your belly that is the wound.
So even if you did the operation in america or uk or wherever, your body still has a lot of healing to do.
(But@repogirl, two months is actually now too long o. A person can be up and about in weeks. )
As per you having a c/s and the next day you were up and about...can u clarify what u mean by 'up and about.' Cos u may not be in so much pain, but i doubt you'd be playing football or running around or doing any other strenous jobs. And you'd be on pain medication even if for a week and not just vitamins. I haven't gone through your previous posts on the subject matter, so im not quite sure what your contention is. No need for the lecture, i know what the process entails and I HAVE gone through it. You see the emoticon after the question? It meant i was being cheeky. Even women that go through vaginal delivery dont go playing football afterwards...so maybe a silly statement? Maybe. |
Health › Re: Graphic Photos: Cesarean Section Step By Step In Photos. by sugah: 3:31am On Sep 14, 2016 |
repogirl: but you haven't tried natural birth to know whether it's worse.
CS is safer than the natural birth these days but with the natural one, your pain ends when the baby is out unlike CS where you'll be nursing a wound and won't be your whole self till two months after.
Both have their pros and cons ... and it's quite difficult to say one is better than the other. If you read the complications that may affect the baby after delivery, you might not think so well of CS. By natural birth you mean vaginal delivery right? What wound are you talking about?? I guess what egunmogaji is trying to let you understand is that there is a lot of advancement in the field already and depending on where you have the CS done, "there is no wound". I had one 3 weeks ago to have my lovely son and by the next day I was up and about. Iv been doing everything by myself ( taking care of me and baby, cooking, laundry etc) and the only drugs im on is prenatal vitamins. Things have changed.... |
