Politics › Re: Ortom To Channels TV - If You Don't Want Me To Say The Truth, Don't Invite Me by sulaak(m): 7:36am On Jul 06, 2022 |
omenka: Ortom adopted Fayose's strategy and took it up ten notches.
Ortom has absolutely nothing to brag about when it comes to good governance. Dude has accummulated the most debt in Benue state, raising the state's debt profile by over 300 percent of what was accummulated by his predecessors combined since 1999.
His predecessors built roads, housing estates, teaching hospital, medical college, general hospitals across the state, etc. Suswam left the state with three months owed. When Ortom was campaigning in 2015, he wept in a Catholic church over the suffering of the people for the three months being owed. Today, the same man is owing between 3 to 9 months (tertiary institutions and medical staff alongside some MDAs, 9 months) to workers, while pensioners are owed 72 months!!
When he speaks, those who have no idea what he's doing to his state would be clapping for him, and this is the encouragement he gets to keep doing evil.
While denying the state all that, his private Oracle Business Empire has been growing in leaps and bounds. So much so he even built for himself a polytechnic in the heart of Makurdi township. Wherever he manages to put some asphalt on ground, you need no one to tell you he's purchased acres of lands around the area.
That is who Ortom is- a very strange character rooted in sheer wickedness. No state deserves such a man for a governor. It's impossible to build anything in a state that is being terrorised by Fulani bandits or terrorists. The state cannot produce wealth because it farms have been overrun by Fulani cattle herders and bandits. There is no doubt that Ortom is corrupt, but the fundamental problems in Nigeria are deeper than corruption, we are watching the complete colonisation of the country by outsiders that are being enabled by the sitting president. Ortom has been one of the few Nigerian that has block government policies to control state resources such as the Water Resource bill |

1. There should be a law banning poor men from marrying more than 1 wife.

festacman: This is pure lie. As his follower on Twitter, David Hundeyin is not particularly LGBTQ enthusiast in his tweets. Besides, he doesn't have rainbow flag on his bio.
The fact though is that ACTIVIST David Hundeyin is a rude and conceited gadfly but the INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST David Hundeyin is top-rated and his works are topnotch.
His only problem is not being able to build sacredness around his personality by relishing a tumble in the mud with even 'pigs'. Going much lower to confront a low, rubs off on his works and may eventually erode his relevance.
Would have been better for him to focus on investigative journalism with a withdrawn disposition that will mystify him and his works. Well, we all have our personalities and foibles.
David is great guy, nevertheless. Well, somebody he is until his investigative bomb explodes near you. I agree David is a brilliant investigative Journalist, but he can be very uncouth in his communication and gets involved in unnecessary debates that divert from his subject matter. On his alleged sexual preference, Nigerians are known to say anything to get out of "the Nigeria", that El-Rufai's father has created. |

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is a Fulani elite, he does not speak for the North which includes Hausa, Kanuri, Christian and many smaller ethnic groups. I am not an Igbo man and I don't believe Peter Obi can fix Nigeria, especially with Nigeria's hopeless constitution, but it is imperative that we all support Peter Obi's presidential ambition to send a message to the Fulani elite and their southern supporters that they are not born to rule. All Peter Obi needs to do is win well in the South and Middlebelt to enforce and presidential run-off. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was born on 21 October 1956 in Kwankwaso, a village located at Madobi, to a Sunni Muslim Fulani family. His father was the village head of Kwankwaso with the title of Sarkin Fulani, Dagacin Kwankwaso; he was promoted to the District Head of Madobi with the title of Majidadin Kano, Hakimin Madobi by the Kano Emirate Council of Emir Ado Bayero CFR, LLD, JP.[6] |

These people shouting now are the cause of the case. Why were those ladies harassed with their hijabs? At least only few of them were using it then. Why can't they be ignored? But your hatred for Islam led you to this level. It is very hard to defeat a supreme court appeal that had 3 Muslims and 2 Christian judges. Nigeria is walking into the realm of anarchy and destruction. Religions of all kinds must be kept outside government institutions including schools and establishments. |

Now to your perjury claim, I want to believe you’re well aware that perjury is a criminal offense and as such, it is only a court of competent jurisdiction that can make such a pronouncement and not social media jurist and obituarist.

Why are the majority of politicians and government officials in North Fulani? Fulani makes up less than 4% of Nigeria's population, and the Hausa almost 28% but you rarely hear of a government official, politician or emir that is Hausa. If the Fulani were White we will be calling out Racism or Apartheid, the reason why there is so much poverty across Nigeria is due to the suppression of the right of the majority population in Northern Nigeria. Justice Tanko is a Fulani, born on 31 December 1953 at Doguwa - Giade, a local government area in Bauchi State, Northern Nigeria.

oyatz: MURIC is right on this matter.
It's on record that the first Law Firm in Nigeria were set-up by the trioka of FRA Williams, Remi Fani-Kayode and H.O Davies in Lagos.
Chief Babaremilekun Fani-Kayode was a great politician who moved the successful motion for the independence of Nigeria on the floor of the House of Representatives in 1959.
Earlier in 1956, Hon Tony Enahoro had moved the motion for Independence but the motion was never passed as discussions about the planned Independence were thwarted by members from Northern Nigeria who wanted the British Colonial Masters to continue to rule till when the North will be ready.
In 1958, Hon Ladoke Akintola also moved a motion for Independence but that motion was also killed. Instead of praising Fani-Kayode for moving the motion for independence in 1959 let's analyse the compromises that he gave to the North, that have since left this country in a precarious state today. |

Just as you wrongly indicated, the Hausa may be more in population than the Fulani but the latter may have greater access to political power and education. There was a time the SW had political leaders that believe in social development and moral value, the likes of Awolowo, Jakande, and Peter Enahoro(sic) went to prison for their political beliefs. So the people are ignorant and sell their vote for a loaf of bread, ignorant people will do things because they don't know any better. This is the time to work the street and start an education program and grassroots engagement to educate the people that selling their vote is the reason why they are poor. "I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more, if only they knew they were slaves".... Harriet Tubman The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election, Wole Oluyede, on Wednesday expressed regret for joining politics, following the turn of events in the poll.
He said, “Ekiti people have chosen the leader they want by collecting money to vote and they should not complain of lacking basic and social amenities in the future. The problem Ekiti has now is that the people are poor and that was why they could buy their conscience. That was what All Progressives Congress used in gaining the heart of many people.
“More worrisome is the fact that the people do not want a solution to the problem of poverty. That was why even when we came with an agenda to address the poverty confronting them, they still expected us to buy their votes before we could help them. The winner is not the best, but he is the one the people deserved. |

Ibkhaleel01: Dear Christians, especially the Yoruba Christians, what is the matter you have with Muslims? Honestly, the way some of you are going about religion calls for serious concern. Some of you are fanatically attached to your religion. Yet, you pretend to be moderate and neutral. Wallahi, if Yoruba Muslims should behave the way some Yoruba Christians are behaving, no Christian will ever become governors in Oyo, Osun, Ogun and Lagos States. Those states have higher percentage of Muslims. There was a time in Osun, which is a predominantly Muslim state, had a Christian as governor (Olagunsoye Oyinlola) and a Christian as deputy governor (Erelu Olusola Obada). Did Muslims complain? No! We did not even care about their religion. I remember how happy I was the day Oyinlola won. Are you telling us that we are fools? After all, Awolowo (a Christian) ruled Yorubaland while Akintola (another Christian) was the Premier; no Muslim raised any eyebrow. I don't want to speak much on this issue. God bless Nigeria. Religion has never been a problem within the Yoruba race, unfortunately since the introduction of political Sharia laws in Northern Nigeria religion especially Islam has been political. Religious differences are now impacting the SW, especially with the introduction of Islamic values in secular schools in the SW, I can understand why this is happening due to the collapse of Nigeria's moral values but I am concerned with the politics of imposing Islamic values in Nigeria schools system. You just have to look at the imposition of political Sharia law in Northern Nigeria and how that has regressed the standard of education and development in the North. |
