Politics › Re: Billions Pour Into Nigeria As Tinubu’s Reforms Start To Pay Off - Bloomberg by sunboy(m): 6:49pm On Mar 08, 2024 |
seunmsg: This is no propaganda as Bloomberg is not a propaganda platform like AriseTV and People’s Gazette.
Slowly, the reforms are paying off. It may appear little with minimal impact for now but in no time, the impact will be felt in all aspect of the economy. We just need to be patient and endure for a while, Mr. President will fix the economy. This is clearly propaganda. In as much as I have hopes that Tinubu will fix stuff… Yes money will flow in mainly because naira got cheaper. Cheaper to buy assets now. It’s common sense. They are only taking advantage of the situation not like anything is improving YET. Maybe later but not yet. |

Let's not even talk about doctors, healthcare & workers that were on strike for 13 months in Anambra, his deportation on non Anambra Igbos, Teachers going on strike, while he buys around 200 Ford vehicles from coscharis for Anambra kings, judges (to buy elections), and politicians. You can only deceive the gullible indomie generation kids. We know Obi is a chameleon and a pretender… and this is why his indomie followers who saw him as a messiah are not worth arguing with. |

BrodaBenad: Everyone knew why there were 2 Yorubas in 99
SE were loyal southern brothers they voted all Yorubas in the primaries
How many times have Yorubas unanimously voted for an igbo candidate? SE voted for party PDP not because of the Yoruba man on the ticket. And Obj served the north and east but shege’d south west in revenge. You should direct this question to the North and maybe PDP, the Yoruba people did not support nor vote OBJ overwhelmingly… it was the Hausa and Ibo that voted more for him. Get your facts right! |

Dumbest thing I’ve read. It’s okay to ban generators for sure… that’s long over due, but ban on other alternatives like solar by an individual??
Government across the world are discounting and subsidizing use of solar by private homes to reduce pressure on their national grid, my country is going the opposite direction. The US for example gives 30% of total cost back to an individual or business that installed solar on their home.
How do we keep voting in regressive policy makes sef 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ |

Politics › Re: HARDSHIP: Younger President Like Peter Obi, Sowore Would’ve Done Better – Freeze by sunboy(m): 7:54pm On Feb 25, 2024 |
SoNature: Yes, that's the case in Nigeria because the institutions here are too weak to be independent.
From the judiciary to the legislature, everyone is working hard to impress the president. Nobody can challenge, question or upturn the president's decision like we see the US judiciary and senate do all the time. If you try it here, you are practically finished.
That's why you must be tested before getting to the highest office of the country so you don't throw the entire country into disarray. In fact, going forward, all the presidents of Nigeria must be former governors. That way, people will vote for you based on your track record. I see it different, here are my reasons… 1. It’s very very hard to perform in a rotten system if the head is rotten. Sowore as a rep or senator won’t make big difference in a rotten system. 2. Sowore a new politician winning an election would send the right message to the people and let them realize the power their wield to elect and remove a president in power, this will evolve our democracy hugely. 3. People trust Osinbajo for whatever reason, he is also a first timer and a complete figure head in Buhari’s rotten government, yet people want to trust him with the role of a leadership Isn’t that hypocrisy Osinbajo was part of team Tinubu when he was governor of Lagos. People call Tinubu part of the rot but someone tag Osinbajo a saint. |

SoNature: Sowore should go and contest for guber election or HoR election. Let's see what you can do with the little you have before asking for a big one.
With the way that guy keeps criticizing everything and everyone, he must think that leadership is easy....until he gets to Aso Rock and destroys the country.
Imagine the mess Rochas Okorocha would have made of Nigeria if he had not been advised to start from Imo State first. Political leadership, anywhere in the world, is hard. In my whole life, I only hear this jargons from a Nigerian. That somebody must previously be a politician with a lower role before they can lead the country. We may never evolve as a nation if we stick to this mentality sha. You can always not vote for him if you don’t believe in his style, but saying he must take on a smaller role is wow-ing me on your behalf. |

And he is part of the corrupt system...his emergence as the APGA governorship candidate is by godfatherism....Ojukwu imposed him.on the people of Anambra state..and before he finished his tenure as the governor...he really messed up his benefactor and godfather.....his family...Ojukwu regretted making Obi Peter the governor of Anambra state... Tinubu, Atiku and Obi are all in same WhatsApp group. They contributed to the current rot. They should be be on consideration list. |

Obrigardo: Soon bro, Soon. He will be a convicted felon by April. Unfortunately, even with felony he could still contest for US presidency. The founding fathers didn’t prepare for such situation where a candidate will have a felony or even serving in prison. If he manage to win, the White House becomes his new prison to finish his term. Trump know this loop hole and that’s why he’s no giving up on his bid to become the president again. |

Somalia greatly benefited from the Japa wave seeking asylum is different countries. They still love their homeland, and their first gen born outside the country are not going back home to invest heavily especially in hospitality and real estate. There’s a documentary on YouTube about this movement.
A typical Nigerian will swore never to to back home and curse their country when others still uphold their homeland love. |
