Ok.

That was how Jonathan denied that MEND carried out the Eagle Square bombing and Massob later came out to claim the attack.

The Sultan and his bunch of jokers in the JNI are denying that the dastardly attacks were carried out by Fulanis and here we are with the spokesperson for the Fulanis claiming they carried out the attack in Benue as a form of retaliation.

The so called Sultan is meant to be Head of all Muslim faithfuls in the country. Will he have rushed to the press to deny the involvement of Yoruba Muslims, or Hausa Muslims or Nupe Muslims or Kanuris Muslims etc if the allegation was levied against such?

He was quick to deny the involvement of the Fulanis because he is trying to protect the heritage of his grandfathers from Fouta Jallon.
Politics / Re: Hausa Man Must Be Emir by Super1Star: 4:33pm On May 01, 2016
Kudos to lawani, you have given a new perspective to the Ilorin issue.

I have the Ibadan warriors to blame. After routing the Fulanis or Ilorins in Osogbo/Ikirun and pursuing them down to Ilorin gate, they should have taken it a step further by conquering that city once again.

My only fear is they could have massacred the whole city for treason against Alaafin. Probably they also felt the population willingly converted to Islam, why should they liberate them.

The fact remains, no Army on.planet earth ever conquered an inch of yoruba land. Ilorin was a collaboration between foreigners and the citizens.

Unfortunately for them Ilorin is surrounded by yorubaland with Obas. To the north is Jebba, to the north west is Atakpame in Togo, to the south is Offa, to the SW is Ogbomosho, to the west is Oke-Ogun and to the East is Omu Aran, to the South East is the land of Igbominas and Ekitis and to the North East is Kaaba.

The Emirates is a mere nomenclature chosen by the people as they so wish. The day they are tired of it, they will burn down the palace and probably install an Emperor.

You are still begging the ipod region for southern unity? you will not stampede them into uniting with you by calling them names. You rejoice when they are killed and when there is news of possible reprisal, you call it a mere 'ego booster'.

If you don't know how to ask the SESS region nicely, stand where you are and defend yourself. The SESS region can defend themselves without you, if their safety had been been dependent on yorubas, they would have been destroyed long ago. Traitors are unneccesary baggages!

Beg whom? How can we be begging a group of people that have never won any war in their history to join us on a cause?

Our grandfathers routed the Fulanis, our fathers did it and we will do it again and again. They always come in one way and we always send them back in 7 ways.

Yorubas are a nation that do not need your Southern unity. Ask them up north, they know who they have respect and fear and they know who they do not give any regards to.

From Jebba to Badagari, Kaaba to Okitipupa, we are a nation. Just a unit of our grand fathers' Army send the whole of their Army packing. If need be. If they failed to heed voice of reasoning and warning, 1825 and 2000 will be a child's play.

Or is it aba or umuahia that the Fulani's want to rampage? Nice salvo from Afenifere and FFK.

It is high time the Southern Govs come together, putting aside their political, religious and ethnic differences and issue a stern warning to those useless Northern governors.

It is heart rendering that the Gov of Benue and other middle belts states were in that demonic meeting and they were nodding their heads like agama lizard.

If hausas and other Northern tribes have willingly made themselves the slaves of Fulanis, some of us will send them parking in body bags like our great grandfathers and fathers did.

Fulani herdsmen are blood sucking demons and criminals. The mad 19 Northern Govs should do their worst.

Politics / Saraki Appeals Against Refusal Of CCT Judge To Disqualify Self by Super1Star: 9:40pm On Apr 28, 2016
The Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, has appealed against the Thursday’s ruling of the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja, dismissing his motion asking the tribunal chairman, Danladi Umar, to disqualify himself from further presiding over his (Saraki’s) trial.

Saraki, through his counsel, Mr. Ajibola Oluyede, filed the three grounds notice of appeal before the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal shortly after the two-man panel of the CCT dismissed his motion on Thursday.

The Federal Government is prosecuting Saraki before the Umar-led CCT on 16 counts of false asset declaration which he allegedly made between 2003 and 2011‎ when he served as Kwara State Governor.

The charges which were originally 13 counts were amended to 16 counts which Saraki pleaded not guilty to on Thursday after the CCT’s ruling.

The trial was adjourned till May 10 for further cross-examination of the first prosecution witness, Mr. Michael Wetkas, after Saraki pleaded not guilty to the 16 counts on Thursday.

Ruling on Saraki’s application asking him to disqualify himself, Umar held that the motion “lacked absolute merit‎”.

He said he had been cleared by both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, of the bribery allegation which was the basis for the motion.

But Oluyede argued in the first grounds of appeal that the ruling amounted to miscarriage of justice, adding that the CCT erred in law by allowing Umar “to single-handedly decide that the application for recusal (disqualification) lacks absolute merit”.

He argued that by so doing , the CCT “essentially” allowed Umar to be judge in his own case.

He argued further in the first grounds that the situation led to the CCT’s ruling “that was essentially a tirade against the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation which had in reaction to the ‘investigation report’ dated June 24, 2014 forwarded to him by th EFCC seeking his ‘further directives’ instructed the EFCC to prosecute the said Hon. Justice Umar on circumstantial evidence.”

In the second grounds of appeal, Oluyede argued that the CCT erred in law “when it decided that the application lacks absolute merit, merely because Justice Umar is of the opinion that the Attorney-General of the Federation has not constitutional right to investigate and lacked authority therefore to give instructions to the EFCC to prosecute him”.

The lawyer argued in the third grounds that the CCT erred in law “when it abandoned the main purport of the recusal (disqualification) and ignored the submissions of counsel thereon only to begin to write a ruling comprised of facts and arguments that are only know to Justice Umar and not raised or introduced by any parties in order to arrive at a conclusion not urged upon him by any of the parties concerning the constitutional and statutory relationship between the AGF and the EFCC”.

Politics / Nigerian Breaks 187-yr-old Record At University Of London by Super1Star: 7:17am On Apr 27, 2016
A Nigerian academic, Professor Abiodun Alao, will today deliver inaugural lecture at King’s College, University of London, making him the first black African scholar to deliver such lecture since the institution was established in 1829.

Alao, a professor of African Studies, was conferred with professorial title about two years ago   alongside his Nigerian counterpart in the institution’s African Leadership Centre,  Prof. Funmi Olonisakin, making them first black Africans to attain professorial cadre at the institution since its establishment. The appointments have been confirmed in a letter by the institution’s  President and Principal, Prof. Edward Byrne AC, justifying their elevations based on their contributions to African peace and security.

According to a statement obtained by Vanguard yesterday, Alao had published  several single-authored books, well-researched journal articles and occasional papers, among others, which findings and recommendations “have largely helped establish peace and boost security in many African countries.” In an institution that produced 12 Nobel Laureates among its professors, the statement said Alao had distinguished himself, citing about 100 widely recognized  100 academic articles and encyclopedia entries he had published, all of which were assessed to accord him professorial title. As an academic tradition globally, the statement said the Nigerian academic would today deliver his inaugural lecture, titled, “Africa:  A Voice to be Heard, Not a Problem to be Solved” at the Edward Safra Lecture Theatre at the college’s main campus.

The statement said the inaugural lecture, holding at the institution’s Edward Lecture Theatre on the Strand, “will be attended by many people from different parts of the world, including from the United States, Australia, Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria.” Aside his academic contributions, Alao joined the long list of globally renowned academics the institution had produced and whose research works had produced answers to different challenges of humanity and society since its establishment.

The statement pointed diverse assignments Alao had undertaken for international institution, which include the United Nations (UN), African Union (AU), European Union (EU), World Bank, ECOWAS and for many individual countries in Africa and beyond. It added that Alao was part of the 4-person team that undertook “a comprehensive threat assessment for Rwanda immediately after the 1994 genocide and was on the team of academic experts that advised former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan on the civil war in Sierra Leone. “He also co-authored the Concept Note for the Common Defence and Security Policy for the Africa Union and was the co-author of the first post-Civil War National Security Strategy Framework for Liberia. He was a member of the team that worked on the Development of Donor Countries Effectiveness in Fragile States, the statement said.

Ranking among the top 20 universities in the world, King’s College London holds a unique position in global scholarship, which the statement said, was evident in the landmark research works the institution’s professors and alumni had conducted since its establishment several decades ago. Among its landmark research works, the statement cited the research that led to the discovery of the famous genetic testing, DNA undertaken at the College by Prof. Maurice Wilkins, while another retired scholar of the institution, Prof. John Lister, developed Antiseptic Surgery.

It cited the researches of Prof. Charles Wheatstone, who “invented the first working telegraphs line and Prof. James Maxwell, who began humanity’s first steps towards a unified theory of physics by bringing magnetism and electricity together in a research that paved way for radio, television, radar and mobile phones. “The College also has among its former Professors, Thomas Hodgkin, who discovered the Hodgkin disease that was named after him and John Danrell who invented the world’s first battery,” the statement added.

As daring as the demonic Fulani herdsmen are in their blood sucking conquest, they also know where their Waterloo lies.

Their forefathers were resoundingly defeated at Osogbo and made to retreat all the way back to Ilorin, in Ogun Jalumi. They were only allowed to stay in Ilorin because majority of Ilorin citizens as at then were already adherents of Islam.

In 2000, they were ruthlessly routed at Oke Ogun, which forced them to send a high power delegation led by Buhari to the then Oyo State Gov, Lam Adeshina.

Like the OP advised, we need to be on guard an opportunity vigilant enough, for us to send these souless demons back to the Fouta Jallon Hades, where they belong.

Politics / Attackers Engaged Policemen, Soldiers In A Shoot-out – Enugu CP by Super1Star: 8:23pm On Apr 26, 2016
The Force headquarters said a special team set up by the Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, has prevented many attacks on innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen.

It stated that the Special Intelligence Response Team, had foiled many violent attacks by bandits, including herdsmen, adding that many suspects had also been arrested and charged to court.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Bisi Kolawole, said this in response to inquiries about the incessant bloody attacks by Fulani herdsmen across the country.

“The Special Intelligence Response Team has arrested many herdsmen and other criminals, it has also foiled several attacks before they were carried out; this means the police are ahead of the criminals, but where you have attacks, our men have been deployed and investigation has commenced and it is a matter of time before we arrest the perpetrators,” she said.

Kolawole stated that the police authorities had strategised and put in place security measures to degrade the attackers, adding that the police would continue to arrest and prosecute all criminals across the country.

Commenting on the attack in Enugu in which about 20 people were allegedly killed by herdsmen, she said that the police had commenced investigation into the incident, noting that the Enugu State Commissioner of Police had deployed his men to the crime scene.

On the allegation that the command had prior information on the attack, but failed to foil it, Kolawole said she had no such report.

Meanwhile, the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Nwodibo Ekechukwu, has said that he deployed sufficient policemen in Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani local government, which was attacked on Monday.

The CP informed our correspondent over the telephone on Tuesday that the marauders engaged policemen and soldiers that were deployed in a shoot-out.

He explained that the intention of the attackers was to attack the centre of the town, noting that the security forces engaged them in a shoot-out and thwarted their plan to stage a massive attack.

Ekechukwu said, “We massively deployed policemen in Uzo-uwani when we got information that the place is under threat, anyone saying we didn’t deploy sufficiently would not have been on the ground and so cannot say what happened.

“Sufficient police officers were deployed, but the community is very vast; Nimbo is in Uzo-uwani Local Government Area and it has boundaries with Ebonyi, Anambra, Benue and Kogi States.

“Our men were supported by soldiers and they prevented the attackers from coming to the centre of the community. The attack took place at the fringe of the town and my men engaged the attackers in a shoot-out and prevented them from coming to the centre of the town which was their target.”

When asked if any of the attackers were arrested, the CP declined to comment, saying, “It’s an ongoing thing, it’s a process, so we want to be silent on that.”
