Shut up. your Yoruba kindred are the one thwarting that effort of SS and SE On regional government because oof Oil, you are happy sniffing the balls of an average Northerner.

It is our choice to decide whatever we want sniff. You have been sniffing same from 1960 till date -- Zik sniffed that of Balewa, Ekwueme did same with Shagari and GEJ did same with Yar Adua.

We have it all in SW, whether oil or industrialization or agriculture or solid minerals etc .

It is SE that does not have anything to offer this country apart from crime.

Politics / MASSOB To Buhari: End Fulani Herdsmen Attacks On S-east In 30days Or… by Super1Star: 5:01pm On Apr 26, 2016
ABA- Following incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen in some states of the federation, Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign States of Biafra, MASSOB, have given a 30 days ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari to end the attack on innocent Nigerians or face its wrath.

MASSOB which said it is worried by the inability of the federal government to stop the increasing destruction of farmlands, raping of women, armed robbery, kidnapping, as well as killing of innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen, accused President Buhari of protecting the attackers who are his kinsmen.

National Director of Information of MASSOB, Sunny Okereafor who handed the ultimatum in an interview with journalists in Aba, said the federal government has been playing with fire over the attacks and threatened that MASSOB will not fold its arms and allow Fulani herdsmen invade Igbo communities, rape women, kill residents and burn their houses.

According to him, “MASSOB is worried that Fulani herdsmen have become very daring in their attacks since President Buhari came to power. We are not saying Buhari is their sponsor, but his silence over the attacks is suspicious. MASSOB is giving Buhari 30 days ultimatum to stop the attacks or face our wrath.

“Again, we are warning Fulani herdsmen and their sponsors to withdraw from Biafra land. They should count Igbo land out of their Islamization policy. We are also warning Ndigbo to remain at alert as these Fulani herdsmen are terrorists posing as herdsmen. Soon, they will pay for all their atrocities against the people of Biafra.”

Okereafor who disclosed that that his group has set up a committee to monitor the activities of Fulani herdsmen in Igbo land, added that MASSOB would be forced to abandon her non violent policy to protect Biafrans if the federal government refuses to check the invasion of its communities by the herdsmen.

Shut the f**k up! We Igbos brought up the issue of confederation during the Aburi meeting but your kinsmen decide to act against it.
Next time check history before blaming the Igbo nation for your mistakes.

Lol. Who told you that lie?

Nigeria had a regional system of governance before your blood thirsty coupists killed the leaders of other regions and told us angel Gabriel protected theirs from being killed.

To add salt to injury, the benefactor of the coup, Ironsi, by decree centralised power by abolishing devolution of power the regions, in the bid of Igbos to lord it over others. They wanted to achieve what they were too politically lazy to achieve through the barrel of gun.

When Gowon took over after the counter coup, he solidified the centralisation of power by dividing the regions into states.

You wanted to go back to the regional govt you abolished after you lost out in the counter coup. Hence, your insistence on it at Aburi.

If you have not abolished it, perhaps there won't be anything to insist on.

Igbos and their greed led us to where we are today.

Politics / Court Dismisses Kanu’s Application To Halt Trial by Super1Star: 12:50pm On Apr 26, 2016
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday dismissed an application by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, and his co-accused, David Nwawusi and Benjamin Madubugwu, asking for stay of proceedings in their ongoing trial.

Justice James Tsoho ruled that the application for stay of proceedings lacked merit and ordered that the trial would proceed in the mode earlier directed by the court.

Kanu and his co-defendants  are being prosecuted before the court on six counts of treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and other offences bordering on their agitation for secession ‎of the Republic of Biafra from Nigeria.

They had asked for stay of proceedings ‎on the basis of the appeal which they had filed against the March 7, 2016 ruling of the court varying its earlier decision of February 19, 2016, by permitting prosecution witnesses to testify behind screen.

In dismissing the defendants’ application on Tuesday, Justice Tsoho relied on provisions of section 306 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, which prohibits courts from entertaining motions for stay of proceedings with respect to criminal cases.

Contrary to the contention by the defendants’ lawyer, Chuks Muoma (SAN), Justice Tsoho held that the provision of section 306 of ACJ Act could not deny an accused person fair hearing or right of appeal guaranteed an aggrieved party in a criminal case in section 241 of the Constitution.

The judge held that rather, the provision of the ACJ Act was to enhance the right to speedy trial guaranteed an accused person in the Constitution.

“Section 306 of ACJA removes hitches to speedy trial which is component of fair hearing,” Justice Tsoho ruled.

The judge also distinguished the trial of the Biafra agitators from that of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, in which the Supreme Court last year after the advent of the ACJ Act, granted ‎an order for stay of proceedings in his (Saraki’s) trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Justice Tsoho held that the prevailing circumstances informing the decision of the Supreme Court to grant stay of proceedings in Saraki’s case were not available in the instant case.

He said in Saraki’s case, the issue of whether the cases entertained by the CCT were criminal in nature or not was to be determined by the Supreme Court when the order of stay of proceedings was granted, was not available in the case before him.

‎He explained that it was not in doubt that the Federal High Court had jurisdiction to hear criminal cases.

The judge ruled, “It is more so, given that the application for stay of proceedings is not founded on lack of intrinsic jurisdiction of this court but on mode of mode of procedure to be adopted in the trial.”

The judge after dismissing the application held that the trial would proceed in the mode he had earlier directed on March 7.

The trial was adjourned till June 20 to 23.

Just look how one shameless oldman superstar1 was jumping all over the the place like a baboon yestde, just because fulanis attacked a community in the southeast and were getting properly served before security found their voice.
Wot baffles me abt dese ppl is the way they will now carry it upon themselves when igbos defend their homeland and start calling us the aggressors and we shd stop attacking 'innocent fulani',like they did when aba boys were fending off (and planting d marauders in shallow graves) some few weeks back.

Seems the genes of baboons are running in your blood.

Show the world where you were serving the fulanis. The reports today are littered with various casualty figures ranging from 40-60 and you are still here lying.

I care less about who got served or not. The bottomline is the menace of the fulani herdsmen should be dealt by all and sundry.

However, you and your lots making fun of Agatus and Tivs were barbaric and grossly insensitive.

All we need to do is to build a collaborative coalition between SW SS SE and Middle belt. Just like we did in 2011 for the election of GEJ.

It is possible, if we set our hearts to it and we set our differences apart momentarily.

Zik is the icon of independence as far as Nigeria is concerned, its not my fault if you don't like it.

It is your view and you are entitled to it.

That does not make it right.

Nyerere was an icon of independence, Mandela was, Mugabe was, Nujoma was, Nkrumah was.

Zik, Awo, Enahoro and Ahmadu Bello etc all combined to achieve the independence.

The only person that is qualified to hold that status in Nigeria is Herbert Macaulay.

AreaFada2:

Most of those first generation leaders did great things, though they also made their own mistakes. Easy for us to say with hindsight that they did not have.

Zik was a nationalist because he initially had no interest playing politics in the East. In his view, any Nigerian should aspire to political office anywhere in Nigeria. But Nigeria was not (and still not) ripe for that level of nationalism. He only went East when he was prevented from doing so in the West.

Another thing was, he let peace reign by putting Nigeria first. He agreed to be a ceremonial president to allow Balewa form government.

He could have left his party out of government, leaving Balewa to form an unstable minority government. Imagine an unstable govt in a newly independent country. The 1966 coup would have come much earlier.

Even when Okotieh-Eboh was used against him by the British and others to destabilise his party, he let peace reign. Now compare with the internal crisis between the camps of Awo & Akintola and how damaging it was. How the North even used it as an excuse the cage Awo, the brilliant and indefatigable opposition leader.

Overall (rather naively from our current divided and tribalised mind set), he was way too nationalist & optimistic to see that Nigeria would have problems of national unity.

But Awo saw it coming and even boldly said "Nigeria is only a geographical expression". Try to beat that. grin cheesy

Start from who is a nationalist?

Awo was not a nationalist but he was able to form a party and build bridges that won election in the core north and middle belt. You are making me dance galala. Wallahi!!.

Zik was made to become a ceremonial president that drinks tea in the office and check Guard of Honour every morning morning by the British, after successfully arm twisting him by bringing corrupt charges against him. It was a trade off for him not to go to jail.

Charity is meant to begin at home. If you promise me you will buy clothes for me, I must look at the one you are wearing first before I can believe you. What were Zik's achievements?

Your question is very senseless.

Moses solely led his people out of Egypt. Is he a nationalist, maybe Yes.

Mandela was the symbol of South African apartheid struggle. Is he a nationalist, maybe Yes.

Did your nationalist, Zik, single handedly fought Nigeria's independence or was he the symbol of Nigeria independence struggle?

What makes him a nationalist then?

Do more research and tell the world in quantifiable and verifiable terms.

Must the East unite with you to fight fulanis? Why don't you yorubas fight the fulanis at your own end, while the East fight them at the Eastern front? Why this desperation for unity at this time with East. Didn't the East warn you?

You have an Emirate on your land, the fulani menace is more pronounced in your yorubaland than anywhere. Stop seeking unity for your self inflicted wound and face fulanis at your end, you don't need the East to fight it for you. Stop shouting unity up and down and face them there.

Ask every Fulani about the defeat their forefathers suffered in the hands of the Yorubas. Ask them about their annihilation at Oke-Ogun.

There is an emirate in Ilorin because the people decided that is what they wanted.

Achieve that in Enugu and come back to me. By the way when will you rename back Oyigbo to Obigbo.

You are all gradually coming back to the proposition of the Yorubas. We told you when you are all tired of call for secession, resource control and one Nigeria maxim, you will come back to Regional Integration as th only peaceful and viable alternative to this current wasteful, corrupt, inefficient structure that promotes mediocrity over excellence.

That is the only way forward, a smooth and peaceful path to final disintegration.

It will also bring unimaginable progress to all parts of the country as a whole, due to healthy or unhealthy competition.

At least we can have regional police that will protect us from the menace of the fulanis instead of hopelessly and endlessly waiting for the FG.
