Humanists and many atheists do not want to see religion eradicated. There will always be people with religious beliefs and we cant deny them their rights. The question to ask is if religion is good for the world or human beings.

For me, the disadvantages of religion are more than its advantages.

Truth be told, these foreigners or westerners have documented a lot of arguments. Also, many religious arguments here are recycled and so, a copy and paste of a suitable argument could be appropriate.

For instance, we have some christian apologists here who have used the kalam-cosmological argument. There are so many atheist.deist.humanist sites that deal with rebuttals to such an argument.


This does not mean that Nigerian atheists and deists should not make their own arguments.

Agnosticism should fall under atheism.

I'm yet to see someone who is agnostic about God and then claims to be a theist.

If you had been to isreal, you would have known that the tour guides lie about the history of Jesus- especially to black Nigerians who are hyper-religious. Different tour guides will hype different historical sites with different stories to impress Jesus freaks.

Why would I waste my time reading a book that would be biased? If the roots of democracy were to be from christianity, Jesus would have been a democratic leader.

Democracy is in no way attributable to christianity. Spain had parliaments before England. English parliaments did not start because of the Anglican church.

Let me point out some flaws in your argument.

1) Science does not need religion. Scientists abroad- UK, USA are more more likely to be atheists.
2) The ancient Greeks started democracy and they were not christians

Despite not being an atheist myself, I have always said it that atheists should keep on being outspoken. They do not know who they can touch. It was an atheist that saved me from being a crazy christian fundamentalist. I am now a deist.
