EducationRe: If You Are Studying Any Of This Course In Nigeria University, You Are Not In Sch by superlightning: 2:38pm On Aug 17, 2019
muykem:
BREAKING!!! NUC DROPS WARNING – IF YOU ARE STUDYING ANY OF THIS COURSES IN NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES, YOU ARE NOT IN SCHOOL (SEE LIST)

List of courses that have not been accredited in Nigerian universities have been released – A certificate issued for those courses will be considered void

– The university of Abuja has the highest number of unaccredited courses The National Universities Commission (NUC) has released a list of some courses that have not been accredited.

The unaccredited courses pose serious danger to students who study them as the certificates issued by these universities for the courses will not be officially recognised.

Premium Times reports that 2016 accreditation status report indicated that these unaccredited courses were taught in 37 out of 143 universities in the country. The Quality Assurance Department of the NUC is in charge of accrediting courses in the universities.

The NUC insists that for a course to be accredited, it must meet the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) that has been stipulated by the commission. Some of the requirements include: “qualified faculty members, good learning environment and adequate teaching materials – equipment, books and journals”.

According to the NUC, accreditation is necessary to ensure “employers and other members of the community that Nigerian graduates of all academic programmes have attained an acceptable level of competency in their areas of specialization.” It also says it is also important to certify courses to assure “the international community that the programmes offered in Nigerian Universities are of high standards and that graduates of the institutions are adequate for employment and further studies.”

According to the commission, the pre-accreditation process include “drawing up a list of academic programmes to be certified, compilation of list of panel chairmen/members, time-tabling, budgeting and organizing the accreditation coordination meeting for panel chairmen and members in a simulation workshop.”

The post-accreditation activities include “analyzing accreditation reports (technical and administrative), ranking of programmes and universities based on their accreditation status, publishing of accreditation status of programmes, issuance of certificates to programmes that earned Full and Interim accreditation results.”

According to Premium Times, 13 federal universities, 16 state universities and eight private universities were running courses that had not been accredited. Some of the high profile institutions include University of Nigeria, Nsukka; University of Benin, University of Jos, University of Calabar. The biggest casualty seems to be the University of Abuja which has 15 of its courses, including Law, unaccredited. PoliticsRe: New Infrastructures Constructed By Abia State Government (photos) by superlightning: 11:55am On Aug 15, 2019
Ikpeazu is trying to wean Abia completely from "Federal allocation" dependency to become a huge commerce and trade state which obviously is what Abia state should be by now. This is no excuse however for the non payment of salaries belonging to civil servants, he himself is a civil servant.

As much as I respect your work in promoting Igboland and erasing the propaganda that Igbo government is not doing enough, I don't like you showing haters that we're trying.

You should let them wallow in darkness while we keep moving as always. Some people are just here to deride the state, while Abia is heaven compared to their own states.

Abia state ranks number 5 in Nigeria, only Abuja, Lagos, Rivers and Anambra can compete with Abia.
Haters shall continue to hate. Abia is an educational and economic jauggernaut in Nigeria. Infrastructural deficits are still some of the issues still been worked on. So haters can quench for all I care.

That said, despite the fact that I appreciate ikpeazu trying to revamp abia as a high ranking economic state and not a civil service state, I still expect him to pay workers as at when due.

there is nothing like dangerously curious. They may b curious and open for u to inculcate what u want in them, that is u grow together, which is quite better than marrying a lady who knows too much
I love ladies that knows too much but is wise enough not to be suseptible to negative influence. I love intelligent girls.
RomanceRe: Why Hausa Girls In Sokoto Are So Conservative And Shy by superlightning: 1:01pm On Aug 07, 2019
Quality20:
yes, this was a question I got from a visitor. Well to begin with, d simple reason is because that's how they are brought up. Another is lack of sufficient exposure to other cultures like d case of kaduna, Kano n plateau states Hausa. This lack of exposure however makes them clean n chaste and are generally good marriage materials .Also u don't find brothels and hangouts like that in d state.
They are however open to marriage proposals and more than 98% of the ladies marry as virgins
On the other side of it, it makes them myopic, unexposed, dangerously curious.
PoliticsRe: When Tinubu Calls For Revolution - Page Deleted By Punch Newspaper by superlightning: 12:15am On Aug 07, 2019
LegendHero:
What is the problem of you Igbos with Tinubu?

Let me summarize the Newspaper for the readers:

Tinubu called for a common sense revolution!

He also went further to say the common sense revolution is a call to return to decency, probity, transparency of process and fairness in outcome.

He also went further to say Nigeria should be ready for change, we must rescue it from those set to cause it irreparable harm.

Although the newspaper you uploaded might be blur but mere thorough reading will show you what he meant by common sense revolution which is totally different from a bloody revolution.

Nigeria situation is political, which explains the fact why Igbos do not join in the protest during the Jonathan government because they are benefiting from it even with the fact that hundreds are dying daily due to Boko haram then during Jonathan era.

This same analogy explains why the likes of Tinubu will never join in the protest of Buhari government because it is their government and they are part of it.

It’s common sense you Igbos need to understand that the political class are united in making sure this country remain impoverished either PDP or APC.

People with functioning eyes should check the clear image of the newspaper uploaded by the OP.
You tried in futility to exonerate tinubu, indict igbos and dilute the while issue.

Snakey cowardice

Igbo's and Niger deltans still retains the bitter experience and betrayal from dominant Yoruba south west. One of such is the awolowo betrayal of ojukwu. It's on record how the prominent south west leader was released from calabar prison to declear oduduwa republic in unison with Biafra, only for his to turn back, unite with north and wage a deadly genocide on Biafra. Today both south south and south east view sowore as another awolowo in disguise. We will never forget!!
Mr. IMPOSTOR kindly shut up....I am Igbo, and I support the revolution

I doubt if it's fake.. I was born in Aba and I can categorically tell you that this is Enyimba city.. Ava has been so bad for many years now. I remember Cemetery Market and Ariaria Market.. Or should we talk about Uratta Market and Portharcourt road? Sometimes I wonder if that city is cursed
You were born there does not mean anything. Were you born yesterday? So it being your birthplace is inconsequential. My maternal grandfather has a lane in Aba named after him - EZERIBE LANE. I know Aba well. It needs infrastructure but that doesn't make abia a failed state.

Sadism is actually a curse dude, not infrastructural deficits.

keep celebrating mediocrity then, since places like this are prerequisite to being a state in Nigeria.
Nobody is celebrating mediocrity. When you see bad roads in other states, do you effuse so much energy to call them failed states?

But Abia state is failed....Has been since 1999 when OJRI KALU (who is now showing his daughters off to Senators in Abuja) and his harlot mother took over the accounts.....

Or is it Theo Orji that saved the day?

Nonsense
Compared to other states in the federation, it hasn't. But are there still a lot to be done urgently? Absolutely!
