my SIL is a very sweet woman and we all cherish her so much... I've witnessed her crying because she hates that she feels this way of course she is grateful to be blessed with a child. it's just that she's been nurturing the idea of a son for so many years.

I will say it over and over. She is an ingrate and ingratitude is a disease! How can a "woman" be unhappy for her unborn female child? When we females face rejection from the opposite gender, we feel bad, so why should a fellow woman feel bad about her unborn female child because it's not a male child? Pls carry that pregnant woman to "the bridge clinic" and other IVF fertility clinics to see couples who have spent millions. On IVF and now even considering surrogacy. Chai! It's only her first child, why the rush? Is a male child now the guarantee to make heaven? Abeg make she park well abeg. When she born the girl and she no want am, let her hand over the child to couples looking for a child who will shower the girl child all the love nd affection.

2)What's wrong with a baby girl first? Focus more on training a child to be the best, irrespective of gender. I don't know how she'll do this, considering her mindset.

3)Remind her of people that are looking for just one.

Some women worry about the wrong things in pregnancy. I see some pregnant women worrying about gender, if the baby will be fair _ have plenty hair, pointed nose. Should that be their worry? Safe delivery and welfare of mother and child should be paramount.
If she doesn't appreciate what came easily to her,she should opt for IVF next time, do gender selection _pay mad money and still get told it's 50:50.

She should show that child love when she comes. I pray she doesn't suffer serious postpartum depression.
