KingCheezyPuff: I have as always wondered that! I think when most use the term they mean book smart Because as a human being with the ability to learn, think an reason things out you are highly intelligent. Period. Folk mistake a education or knowledge in/on a subject as intelligence I agree with you, and I think this misconception clouds societal judgment because people respect the opinions of people with qualifications and take theirs as gospel, even when there's a different opinion but from someone not as qualified. Someone told me earlier today, 'most of the people who went to school are only 'intelligent' when they have to spell'. The person who said this didn't go beyond secondary school. |

Marlvin: my brother, the op's line of thought is just bizzare.
You can imagine the absurdity, so thereby choosing a light skinned female, from her point of view is questionable, as regards one's intellect ? |

What really is the measure of 'intelligence'?
Yet another thread laced with generalisations and opinions that aren't well thought through. |

Saw this coming when he walked out on journalists questioning him on his involvement. He was backed into a corner.
The possibility of such a resignation happening in Nigeria is almost impossible, just like the possibility of our journalists asking politicians the questions they dont want to answer.
On both sides of the divide, there isn't enough care for Nigeria. |

It is disheartening that many people on this thread think it is the duty of the ruling party to prosecute. Goes to show the reason why our institutions haven't developed and why we build more personalities than institutions.
It wasn't the duty of the PDP to prosecute Tinubu, it was the duty of the Code of Conduct Tribunal. If supposedly educated youth are thinking like many on this thread, the future of the nation is even bleaker. |

StunningCEO: Check the meaning of 'double jeopardy'... ...it is impossible to legally try tinubu again... It is possible to try Tinubu again as long as it was a discharge, not an acquittal. It is only in a matter of discharge and acquittal that double jeopardy comes in. Besides, there's no time limitation to criminal cases, as long as there's still evidence. |

Freksy: It's much like saying: apart from Egypt scoring Nigeria one goal, Egypt did nothing in Alexandria. And throw away the other part of the statement which read 'his general play was off'. Bravo, you've made sense. |

Reference: Okay sir. You need quality finishing and you put him on the bench. I hope you got quality finishing from Ighalo, another Emenike typo. The era of big, burly number 9's are over. By the way sir, who struck the bar for the rebounded goal in Kaduna. Nigerians, always slow in thought. Apart from hitting the upright, Iheanacho did nothing in Kaduna, his general play was off. If you were making a case for a wide playmaker like Iwobi, that would have been plausible. We lacked a player who could create in the final third over the two legs. |
Sports › Re: Egypt Vs Nigeria AFCON Qualifier: 1 - 0 on 29th March 2016 by Surfboard(m): 7:52pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
Reference: Nuts. Iheanacho is the only playmaker there. Every other forward player is a photostat. Moses and Musa are exactly alike. Why play both. Wing play is 80's game. The modern game is done in the middle. You can criticise tactics all you want, but the coach had a plan. Tough luck it didn't pan out. Iheanacho is no longer a playmaker, he can't do those things anymore, he has been converted to a striker at City because of the quality of his finishing. |

safarigirl: anybody with half a brain should have done as I said.
Na today Moses start his playing with flair all for nothing? Who no sabi am? And what did Aminu do all the time he has been on? What did he do the thirty minutes he played last game?
The minute I saw the Starting XI, I knew it was crap Get off your high horse Miss. You couldn't have been hungrier for a win than the coach and those players. I think we have an expectation problem, we haven't matched the quality of players we have with our expectations. Pains me to say, but our players are average. Even if you picked the team today, it's not a given that Nigeria would have gotten a result. |
Sports › Re: Egypt Vs Nigeria AFCON Qualifier: 1 - 0 on 29th March 2016 by Surfboard(m): 7:38pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
safarigirl: Siasia no sabi work.
1. Why did he start Aminu over Iheanacho?
2. Why keep Moses Simon on the bench and start a Victor Moses who flatters to deceive?
3. Subbing a defender at half time when you're goalless? Where is the sense in that?
This game could have been won, but Siasia's choices absolutely ruined it As always with critics like you, you analyse decisions with the benefit of hindsight. Hindsight is 10/10, and with it, you can never be wrong. There are no guarantees that if he had done all you wanted, that we would have won the game. |

blackpanda: With the lowest budget proposal in Nigeria, it was clear that Fayose never intends to embark on any real development in the state. Its a pity for ekiti. You would think that with the many professors they have, it would be the most intelligent state. Unfortunately, for the next 4yrs there wont be any development here. Ekiti has the lowest budget, not because Fayose doesn't want to carry out any project, but because Fayemi left huge debt that the state government will have to pay till 2036. Be guided. |
