The people deserve the type of government they have, for now they are interested in a strong ,macho leader ,a repressive, abusive, tyranical leader,a double speak, deceitful, hypocritical and unfeeling leader, and they have all this in buhari and everything seems fine When they outgrow this and began to see how civilized people are governed, that governments are to serve the needs of the people and that is the only reason governments are formed the people will change the way they elect leaders,it will become need based, who can best meet the pressing needs at any given time will be elected For now let the politicians take the full advantage of Nigerians ignorance until they become wise and matured, then it will be difficult to take them for a ride again |

Politics › Re: Buhari Congratulates Yahaya Bello On His Re-Election by surgical: 4:51pm On Nov 18, 2019 |
Hedonini: As bad as Obasanjo was, he didn't even attempt to condone proven corruption. He would tell his boys that if you're caught, you're on your own. Tafa Balogun as serving IGP was arrested, dragged in handcuffs, disgraced, and prosecuted in court. Similar fate befell several of Obasanjo's own appointed ministers - including Sunday Afolabi and Professor Folashade Grange. An Obasanjo would have deployed the full arsenal of presidential power to get Ganduje impeached and disgraced, rather than raising his hand in a reelection campaign as this maggot called Buhari did, in spite of' all the shameful, damming evidence against Ganduje.
Even in the area of elections, as bad as things were then, at least the judiciary was a trusted arbiter of justice. Obasanjo NEVER interfered with the judiciary. On several occasions, election results and illegal impeachments orchestrated with Obasanjo's approval were upturned by the courts - Ladoja and Peter Obi are good examples.
That's why Buhari's annexation of the judiciary is the saddest and most dangerous thing to happen to us as a nation. During Obasanjo, there were many instances of what we call judicial activism. Where the judiciary (especially the beautiful Supreme Court as it then was) over reached itself to deliver activist, JUST judgments in a way that leaves no room for a merry go round of lawlessness. For example, in this kind of case where Bello so disgustingly rigged himself back to power, the courts under Obasanjo would not merely cancel the election and call for a useless and wasteful re-run , but would decisively DECLARE Wada the winner, because the court is conscious that merely calling for another election would give the perpetrators of illegality the opportunity to repeat the same routine.
This absence of judicial activism and judicial independence is the biggest tragedy unleashed upon us by the Buhari presidency. I desperately hope Nigeria can recover from this monumental damage. The present courts has legalized thugry and election rigging, whenever we are able to elect a good leader, the first cleaning is to jail all the corrupt judges |

AS A MATTER OF FACT, THE MINISTER OF WOMEN AFFAIRS HAVE PROMISED TO LIASE WITH ALL STAKEHOLDERS SO THEY WILL LOOK INTO TACHA'S "BUTT BUSINESS" FOR POSSIBLE EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES, WHICH IS IN LINE WITH THE DIVERSIFICATION AGENDA OF PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
TACHA'S BUTT WILL BE EXPORTED IN DIFFERENT SIZES, COLOURS AND SHAPES. A BUTT IS ESTIMATED $5000 IN THE BLACK MARKET. THAT IS EVEN MORE VALUABLE THAN CRUDE!
THIS PRECIOUS BUTT BUSINESS WILL CREATE 5000 DIRECT JOBS AND 500,000,000 INDIRECT JOBS.

By the time you see the problem, when in power, especially why we are taking loans, and why things aren't any better...you'll see.,
Im no government propagandist. I'm a realist who thinks we need to liberalise our economy so that investment would flow in to build the stuff we need. Sadly APC nor PDP like my ideas.....and I don't like either party.
So, stop moaning, join a party and do something. I'm not the government. I'm just a silly joker commentator with ideas that don't work here. solution is removed power from the exclusive legislative list, let all state deal with the power issues as it affects them We don't need a central government to deal with it,apart from bottle neck,it breeds corruption Competition serves the best dishes |
