Did anyone see the Saturday Vanguard? MAC's CEO was interviewed in the business section on page 60. Anyone else get an invite to stage 3? Good luck to all of us |
Interesting organization with some useful services. it looks like it might be a good place to work Good luck to all |
Utter rubbish. That Mugu Fani Kayode should go hide his face in shame. I was on a Lufthansa flight on sunday when the Captain announced that there had been no information form Abuja airport on the weather since 5am in the morning. Basically he flew into Abuja without having any idea of what the weather was like. Na occultic people dey work for the airport? We nigerians really need to sit up |
I travel quite frequebtly and I have never had any of these unpleasant experiences escept for one time, one guy searching my luggage asked me to 'find something for him' and i asked him point blank 'why?'. He did not dare repeat the question |
Wellllllllllllllll, am single at ther moment and its fun but being part of a couple is really great and i sure am looking forward to it |
I love all novels though I also read romantic suspense. My favourit writers are Ken Follett, John Grisham, David Baldacci, James Patterson. My favourite romance writer is Linda Howard. I like Tami Hoag as well. Nora Roberts is not bad. By the way her novels have been made into novels and are being shown on DSTV |
@ poster Can you just imagine the millions of dollars you will make if you just bottle your smell and sell the patent to designer perfumers? Abi , fellow nairalnders, don't you agree? |
@ nairalanders. Do you really believ this guy is telling the truth @ growfast The nairaland forum is not the place to post your sick fantasies @ seun, Could you please tell him so as well |
@muslims in the house, When the nazis first started the massacre of the jews, a number of Germans said they did not support it. But they did nothing, In the end millions of jews were slaughtered. Its not enough to come on the forum and bleat about how Islam is a religion of peace. Get off your backsides and do something about it. |
It should rather be named 'Obasanjo - Adedibu tragedy' cos a coalition of two such buffoons is a tragedy |
Today on CNN, there was this story from Saudi Arabia. A young woman was sentenced to 6months in jail with 200 lashes of the cane . She was raped sometime ago by 7 men. According to the judge, she set up herself for it by leaving her home without permission from a male relative . The sentence was also for talking to the press about it. Her lawyer was also stripped of his licence because he also spoke to the press about the case. How barbaric can this people get? Only God can save the women in that country. It is really sad. As if she was not traumatized enough by the rape itself. If only the stupid judge could go through the same experience. Stupid idiot |
I have been following this discussion from page one. It just reminds me of something that happened recently. A couple of months ago, I was in Germany and went out for dinner with some friends from various places, american, german , mexican. One of them came with a Tanzanian colleague. on hearing i was a Nigerian, he asked me why all Nigerians are loudmouthed and corrupt. Naturally, I was pissed but managed to restrain myself ands calmly asked him if it is true that all Tanzanians are lazy and dumb and can't think for themselves. Of course he denied it and did not did not find it funny. So I told him that I though I have heard that being said about Tanzanians, I am smart enough to know that it can't be true but however he was doing a good job of convincing me of the fact since he was obviously not smart enough to know that everyone of a 140million population cannot be all corrupt. The others were following the conversation with interest. Of course, he was very careful about the remarks he made to me after that. For me, it was really sad that that an attack like that came from a fellow African. However, he was in the minority because I have friends from Zambia, Uganda, Senegal, Malawi, Congo and Kenya and have never had problems with them I must admit it is not easy being a Nigerian. however, God bless Naija |
Hope this is the beginning of the end of the Ettehgate scandal |

@ Poster, Thanks for starting my week on such a hilarious note. I am a lady and would definitely have laughed if a guy approached me and said the things you did. Cos I would have thought he was trying to make me laugh. My advice ( as a babe) is keep things simple. You could start with a compliment and then strike up a conversation from there. Good luck in your future toasting endeavours |
Only God will save us in Africa |
Jujukemist, please educate me. name one real freedom fighter. Unfortunately, I seem to know only the crooks from the ND |
Rubbish, Utter rubbish. Are these not the same folks who welcomed Alams as a hero after he finished disgracing Nigeria in the UK? Now, they have the nerve to threaten to blow up the third mailand bridge. When they have so many more 'sensible' targets such as houses and infrastucture belonging to their hopelessly corrupt leaders. Why are they pretending that they are unaware of the fact that most of their problems originate from within them. How much of their allocation has been used to develop their land. I visited Warri for the first time in 2000 and wanted to weep for the people cos Warri is just a glorified village. These MENDers should at least have a member bright enough to realize that terrorism will get them no where. Charity begins at home. They should address their internal problems so they can come out with a united front to fight for their rights. And all those youths depending on ransome money to live, should get off their lazy butts and do something useful with their lives, |
Gozizi, thanks for the introduction to such a wonderful site. Its really great. To fellow brothers and sisters, keep the faith |

And the marriage between the cabby and nurse ended? is any one really surprised? of course, the guys think it was all the lady's fault. Tell me how many of you as professional people would hook up with a maid or cleaner. And I am not disparaging people like that. But the social gap is really wide, If you are really truthful none of you will |
Na wa. Nigeria, we hail thee. We have started again |
We are four: two girls and two boys. The girls came first . I am second. |
Been there, done that. Guys who earn less seem to have a big ego problem |
My mom had a joint accoun t with my dad. One day, without consulting her, he emptied the account and bought a brand new car. of course that was the end of the joint account. for me I think couples should have three accounts; his, hers and theirs. For theirs, they should both agree on the amount to contribute and both should sign before any of them can withdraw. |
I just have to post a comment now. Sometime ago, I dated a guy who was not well off. I have a very comfortable job and I am well able to take care of myself. However, my boyfriend was super sensitive in the issues of finance. He hated it when I spent money on myself or did things for my self that he could not afford to. I was very careful not to make financial demands on him. Then he resented my not making demands saying he was not good enough for me. Eventually we broke up which hurt a lot. Now I have decided never to date any guy who is financially zero. By that, I mean decent job, accomodation and good future prospects. As I said before, I am hardworking and can take care of my self. But I believe a guy has to be financially OK to feel confident ( Guys, correct me if I am wrong). After the heartache I heve had, I am not ready to go thru it again. Money is not everything but it sure makes things easier. I think I have learnt that the hard way. What do y'all think? |
Dear Lord, Thank you for our country, Nigeria. Guide her leaders and people on the path of peace, prosperity and progress. Thank you for my life, family and friends. Grant my mother many more years on earth. Help my sister as she prpares for marriage. Help my cousin to get a job soon. Grany my baby brother in his exams. Help my brother to get his visa on time to start the semester. Hear my prayers regarding the new job I hope to get. Above all, let your Glory shine forth in our lives. In Jesus name. Amen |
