When MEND (GEJ's kingsmen) was making the country ungovernable for OBJ you GEJ apologists did not say so o. In fact, if I remember correctly, they were even the ones who started all this unrests sef.

PoliticsRe: PDP Governors Have Performed Best In Nigeria- Tukur by Sweetlemon(f): 11:52am On May 22, 2013
Afam4eva: You see, i'm only moved by what i see. You guys have been talking about the developments in these ACN states yet when you're asked to show us pictures, you run away. I've seen loads of pics from Enugu, Akwa-Ibom and Lagos especially on Nairaland but not Edo, Ekiti or Osun.
I am from Akwa-ibom and speak as an indigene. Uyo and some parts of Ikot epene are the only places Akpabio cares about so don't mention AKWA-IBOM as a whole when talking about Akpabio's achievements. However that does not change the fact that he is the best governor that ever ruled my state (before you start hailing PDP, Attah was PDP and he was totally useless!)
Also, as for Amechi, apart from port harcourt where else in Rivers state do you hear of?
So you can see that these governors are highly overrated!

jmaine: You can't mention one cos you knew you were unnecessarily at your best exaggerating issues to no where

Aside the recaptured Kabiru Sokoto fiasco which involved the Nig police . .No one suspect has escaped "Miraculously" from detention Aside the Daring jail breaks from BH sect members . .

You can now suck in your whines and debate objectively . . .
Look who's talking about objectivity. See, if I weren't objective I would have joined the bandwagon and downrightly criticized this move as well. But I am willing to give it till the end of the year, after the effects would have manifested

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Orders Release Of Detained Terrorists by Sweetlemon(f): 9:50am On May 22, 2013
texaco1: madam pls kindly tell me which of them havent been captured and arrested again?pls kindly name one.lots of things are going on that u dont know ,the anger of ppl is understandable but u must also know that nigeria is a complex and peculiar country, things have to be done to appease both the north and south,if care is not taken this problem is capable of snowballing into a bigger problem.just like u have wisely suggested lets give MR PRESIDENT A CHANCE.he will deliver on this one trust me
No I can't mention because I lost hope in the whole thing after hearing too much bullcrap! All I know is that arresting evil, deadly, criminals releasing them and then making a show of rearresting them again after they have already gone to cause more havoc and pain does not make an iota of sense no matter how much I wish it could
And like I said, I will wait till the end of the year before I decide whether this is a good move or the most retarded thing the most retarded person could ever do!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Orders Release Of Detained Terrorists by Sweetlemon(f): 9:37am On May 22, 2013
texaco1: do u believe gej will release terrorists?pls understand the information very well.they are not releasing kabiru sokoto or others like that,in the wake of this problem lots of people were picked up and detained and during the crackdown lots of women or families were rounded up and detained ,now most of them had been in detention for months ithout trial and they are innocent many just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time ,may God save us.after thorough investigation the sss and military police and all intelligence agencies have been able to identify the innocent and the guilty ones,so pls tell me why should they still be detained and locked up for no crime.
secondly this issue had been one of the requests and conditions for peace given by boko haram and its sponsors that their women are been abused and locked up by the army and that it wll start killing school children as retaliation which they did by killing waec candidates lately
thirdly ppl must understand that this decison was arrived at aafter meet with the senate president ,house of reps, miltary cheifs and local leaders in the north ,gej doesnt just sleep and wakes up to do thing unilaterally,he has to make consultations, this move if carried out will put a lot on pressure on the northern elders and leaders to call boko haram to order.this war cant continue .if care isnt taken the northern boys in the army and barracks may start grumbling.there are so many issues related to this release most ppl here just saw the heading and never bother to read or understand what the action is all about
Excuze moi, but if I remember correctly, there have been countless stories of captured terrorist escaping miraculously right under the noses of the SSS. How can you explain that?
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Orders Release Of Detained Terrorists by Sweetlemon(f): 9:33am On May 22, 2013
Policewoman: INOTHERWORDS, THE STATE OF EMERGENCY IS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY WITH AMNESTYhuh President Jonathan, don't tell me you will allow our soldiers risk their lives and get killed to arrest some Jihadists, only for you to release them. Hmmm.... na wah o.
Na real wa! I'm just trying my best to hold my tongue until I see the end result of this current move

Those of you saying that it was only women and children the president ordered the release of are not serious at all. Didn't you see where it was clearly stated that they are releasing "TERROISTS as well as women and children"
Nonsense! Yeye apologists like you!
As for Jona, I won't directly criticize this move until I see the end result of this.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Appropriate Make-up For A Job Interview by Sweetlemon(f): 4:08pm On May 20, 2013
mummy3: very light makeup, no painting of red nails, if you're wearing a shirt let it be cool colours like sky blue, pink, cream, white not orrange or lemon or red. Good luck
It depends on the kind of job o!
There are some jobs where you need to to look hot (but not provocative) and things like nicely done hair, nails, and stylish make-up, finished with a good command of English language, graceful and elegance poise will work more wonders than your qualifications! In fact, some companies will not employ you for some job roles if you do not appear stylish no matter what's in your CV.
That's why I adviced the Op to dress according to the job role. For instance, a Customer Relationship Officer for most banks, oil coys, and other big companies, must appear stylish. Most front desk officers at shipping companies are stylish.
But the bottom line is being moderate but stylish.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Appropriate Make-up For A Job Interview by Sweetlemon(f): 3:50pm On May 20, 2013
Light make-up of course!
light eyeshadow, brown powder, blusher(if you like) mascara will do.
If you have nice lips and the company is a reputable coy where you won't be asked for sex before job, you can finish it up with moderate red lipstick to make you appear bolder, and more confident.
Don't forget to smile unprovocatively at your interviewers.

Babe, I wish I could like this comment a million times. You too dey on point!
The girl did it out of desperation. Full stop.
She's getting older and has a low self-esteem which makes her believe she's probably not attractive enough to get another serious bf at 28, so she needed to do what she had to do to insure him.

Lol! How are you dear?
The truth is that babes are not coming out this time around cos they all saw how the last one turned out.
If oga and madam can just swallow their pride and follow at least 3/4 of my suggestions, and some others, of how this pageant should run, I can bet that at least 30 girls will show interest before you can spell "Miss Nairaland" cos It's not like they don't want to contest but they don't want to just be like a pawn in some people's game. If they can just agree to open votes to other sections and not confine it to romance section due to the clique factor, more girls will feel more confident to participate because they can count on more objective and mature voters.
PoliticsRe: Looks Like Jonathan's Approval Ratings Has Hit The Roof? by Sweetlemon(f): 7:17pm On May 17, 2013
GEJ's rating has definitely soared in my books. But not high enough yet to want him back in 2015 cos I am still fully 100% behing ACN.
I will advice you guys not to get too excited yet until we see the end results of this later in the year. It is very true that this State of emergency rule is coming quite late after so much damage has already been caused and after boko haram has been able to get too much sympathizers.
However, we should give our full support now that oga Jona has suddenly woken up from his slumber. By the grace of God it will work so that GEJ's apologists can stop giving the annoying excuse that oga is not working well because his enemies are making it hard for him.

shymexx: I also faulted their haste in condemning the SoE and playing the right political card at the wrong time. They sure have the "ace" - if you study the dynamics of everything critically.

However, they understand Nigeria and the politics better than most of us. And I guess they did it for posterity sake.

Also, if you're a student of Nigerian history you would know that the first republic ended the same way with the declaration of "Operation Wettie." And it seems the last republic this regime is about to go down that route as well. [s]But I'll need to ring up Nostradamus for that[/s]. grin

Scary times ahead. lipsrsealed
You are right again that ACN really do understand Nigerian politics better than most of us so they know what they are saying.
But we just need peace, no matter how or where it's coming from.

PoliticsRe: The State Of Emergency Declaration - An Appraisal by Sweetlemon(op): 12:24pm On May 17, 2013
shymexx: The crux of the matter is that the Nigerian army is already overstretched and most world renowned military analysts believe that the war can't be won militarily. Also, Nigeria lacks the capabilities and the know-how to fight against asymmetric warfare and insurgency. So, evidently, it's not about supporting the so-called SoE or not - it's about thinking critically about what the end game would be. Yes, they will kill a few "Bokoharamists"(and civilians in collateral damage) here and there - but we all need to be vigilant as BH spreads its tentacles across the country - "blowback."

Personally, I kind of understand ACN's stance. It seems they're trying to exonerate themselves and their region from whatever the obvious end-game would be. It's a war and they're in charge of protecting the SW from any "blowback" that might happen, as a result of the SoE.

My 2p, 2cents, and 2kobos! wink
You have a point sha. If you look at it, ACN is right about not using the same medicine that has not been working to cure a sick person, But they should not have gone too hard with the criticism. Some sort of 'caveat emptor' statement would have been alright especially at a time when Nigerians are desperate for any kind of action against boko haram.
PoliticsRe: ACN Commits Political Suicide by Sweetlemon(f): 12:18pm On May 17, 2013
To be sincere ACN messed up sha,
They should have just kept quiet instead and watched for something to go wrong before jumping at the opportunity to criticize.
PoliticsThe State Of Emergency Declaration - An Appraisal by Sweetlemon(op):
President GEJ has finally decided to take some tangible steps to curbing Boko Haram (and we all know he hasn't been doing anything about it before now) The declaration Of State of Emergency in Boko haram hot beds should be, in my opinion, applauded.

However, it is pertinent to note that in the Nigerian constitution, when a state of emergency is declared by the president in any states of the federation, the civilians in power are meant to hand over their duties to military personels. Meaning that the civilans give up their constitutional powers to the military. In GEJ's case, he retained the governors and his cabinet in power meaning that the military personels do not yet have full powers to do their jobs the way they think it will be best as the governors in power might try to interfere.
Having this in mind and the fact that these governors might be Boko haram sympathizers, and another obvious fact that GEJ is trying quite hard not to step on northern leaders' toes because he needs their support for 2015, how effective do you think this whole state of emergency thing will be? Don't forget the oga-at-the-top syndrome will definitely play a part on how JTF fights boko haram as they cannot do any thing without getting orders!

However, I think that instead of criticizing the whole thing, let's just sit back and watch / observe their progress for a while before we start concluding wether or not this decision is right or wrong. In fact, let's support GEJ on this and see how it all goes by the end of the year. Let's give GEJ a chance to prove that he is not a retardeen. Lol!

This brings me to another concern of ACN and their condemnation of this new move by GEJ, I for one am in total support of ACN taking over from PDP especially as Gov Rochas Okorocha has now joined. I strongly believe that whatever they have to offer us is much better than what PDP is feeding us with now (even though they are all thieves lol!) but they should please pipe down so that people will not start loosing respect for them. Let them just wait for the scheme to fail before they criticize as criticizing this move by GEJ at a time when Nigerians are desperate for anything that will curb this menance will not be good for their political goals in 2015. ACN agents on NL please take note of this o!
PoliticsRe: Mimiko Rallies Support For Jonathan, Faults Politicising Of Security Challenges by Sweetlemon(f): 10:44am On May 17, 2013
Well, I will support anything GEJ wants to do AS LONG AS IT CURBS THE PROBLEM AND NOT JUST SOME KIND OF WINDOW DRESSING OR COSMETIC.
So I won't say anything until I see the results of this State of emergency technique of curbing violence

Well, you are right about her being hypocritical about the whole thing. It's quite funny that she's now trying to be slim after all she has said about skinny women.
It just goes to show you how the average woman is with her pull-her-down syndrome. When a woman wishes to be like another woman, instead of working on improving, she applies the PHD technique to make herself feel better about not being like the woman she secretly admires and wishes to be like.
However, you were too harsh on her nau. At least she has decided to come out and tell herself the truth instead of hiding behind insecurities
