I'm in full support of this |
There is hardly any middle ground when it comes to female bosses. It's either they are angels or devils. However, you will find more devils than angels because the average female has serious issues esp when she's having marital problems (that one ehn! Your own don finish esp if you are a fine girl!) |
Lots of broke ass guys on this thread sha. My dear sisters, if you marry any poor man that does not have talent or potential, and you believe that "there is a blessing that comes with marriage" sorry, but you are OYO! On your own l' o wa |
jackbauersballs: Apart from being Ugly, it is apparent that your English is Sub-Standard. Quite frankly, you sound like an uneducated tramp from the gutter, and I can see why you would have to settle for less-You this guy, it's ok nau! Haba! |
The following are more like signs of obsession: 1. When your partner starts threatning to do something dangerous to you, a rival to to himself or herself when you try to leave. 2. When your partner has no other life besides being your boyfriend/girlfriend and wants to be with you 24/7 3. When your partner does not like you having other activities/friends apart from him/her. 4. When your partner prefers to be a footmat just so that there won't be quarrels btw you guys and freaks out after an argument because he/she is too scared of loosing you. |
The poster like most people obviously do not know what love looks or feels like cos half of the things mentioned here are signs of deep love and not obsession. The ones about passwards and waking up to find your partner staring at you are some of the most obvious signs of love and anyone should be happy to have someone that cherishes them that way in their life. Words cannot express the joy of having someone like that in my life! So pls poster, stop misleading people. |
Hezron Lorraine: you spoke sense that is out of sense.I'm an elite who believes that the Lagos state govt should move in line with its already established global counterparts.but fashola's actions are way too far.first he bans okada, now keke.does he think he's porting from etisalat to mtn like saka.u don't carry out such actions without providing alternatives, most of the citied u mentioned don't use commercial motorcycles nor keke, but transportation isn't difficult or stressful.dre r cheap metro cabs, mass transits buses, track buses, rail system.but look at the lagos version, sanity on the road is not banning keke, even the likes of india makes use of them.presently,u either have a car or take the death traps called danfo buses.decisions made without the citizens welfare in mind is ridiculous.fashola has continued shifting his attention to island mainly while he forgets that the money made on the island is from the sweats of mainlanders.even the whole global adjutment dt they want in lagos, when foreigners come they r intrigued by okada, keke.its one of the factors that distinguishes Lagos.next tn is to ban all buses except brt which is of short supply.ferries, many r scared to cross the lagoon, buses r highly inconvenient now what, trek from ikoyi to vi.the ikeja version would be worse. You are very right. I wish Fash could see this comment. However I believe their goal is to de-congest first, then provide these things later. Fash is a smart guy unlike our oga @ d top (I have been studying Lagos State politics for a while now) I believe he knows what he's doing |
~Bluetooth:Exactly! Fashola just wants to de-congest lagos. Make it unbearable for people who have little or nothing to offer to turn Lagos into a world-class mega city so they can leave Lagos alone. I just pray I will be among the people left in Lagos by the time they finish their de-congestion exercise! Lol! However fact remains that Lagos will forever remain a place for hustlers and go-getters. You just cannot take that spirit away from the average Lagosian and that is why Eko o ni baje o! Lol! |
Afam4eva: The only thing i need is a life jacket or whatever it's called. I don't wanna die.Abi o! That's all I think of on local flights. |
I had to take notes of all the monikers here supporting the snake-god so I can start avoiding them like plagues on NL |
IYA NGBALI: When would GEJ learn how to wear suit?he complained he was not having shoes,we bought shoes for him,now he is wearing shoes, are we the one that would buy suit for him again?na wetin aunty Patience go come buy for am?maybe na boxer pant.Really I don't give a damn about what any president or governor wears. All I care about is better living conditions and in the country. They should just do their damn jobs!!! |
Coldfeet: I want to give that Rev a big hug!!! deity my ass! Let them call out dia own gods and let's see who is supreme! Yes I agree its dia tradition but that snake should have known better not to crawl into a Christians home where Christ is Lord and Master! Am sure now other snakes will stay off! That village might still be doing human sacrifice they should be checked nansenze! To say that I'm shocked Ifyalways wrote that will be understatement of the millenium! Smh at comments here. In fact I'm too shocked to comment *runs from thread |
As for me, my best trends are the 'garri crew' and the "oga at the top" trend. I just love the way some of them ask "how does this affect the price of garri" (or garrium as some call it) and some other funny ways they mention garri when replying. The oga at the top was also hilarious with people forming new ways of using it to drive home their point. My worst trends so far are the "1st to comment" wannabes and the "A Nairalander with ...." threads na real wa for those ones especially the 1st to comment. I just pray those people are below 21 years old, if not I'm so sorry for them. What are you own best and worst general trends on NL? |
34 ko, 14 ni. She's older than that abegi. 36 at least! She was a year sister's senior in high school and my sister is 36 (and my sister was one of the youngest in her set o) She's very likely Rita Dominic's age mate. HBD to her anyway. |
chess guru: Hahahahaha MR Macho I hear from you. I can feel the testosterone J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ oozing from you.You are VERY right. That's why I laugh when people say that a female ruler will be better than a male. That can happen in more civilized worlds where there are disciplined checks and balances and not in an oga-at-the-top-mentality society like ours. A power drunk woman can be 10 times deadlier than a man because women generally like to show that they have 'arrived'. As for the ones who love to wear jewelry, a generous chunk of tax payers money will be going into her jewelry box! What about exotic hoildays, shopping, kitchen wares, etc? Her children nko? A woman is more likely to spend more money on her kids if given the opportunity. |
chess guru: I laugh @ you in swahili...did you J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ say control of his wife. How many men in nigeria have "control" of their wives today in their families. You are right sha. lol |
Akpan107: This is one of the reason why i love GEJ so much... He still remain the best thing that has happened to Nigeria and Nigerians. Atleast, he refused to use the power of his seat to give his wife the Land...But he was able to use to budget N1b feeding for his family ba? Abegi, forget that thing. there must be a reason why he did not interfere (or make it look like he did not interfere) although he may have just decided to pity a widow than satisfy his wife's unsatisfiable cravings. Patience is more corrupt than GEJ. Ask any Abuja person that knows his/her way around town, they will tell you. |
nairaman66: See the reason GEJ should be impeached- He cannot control his kleptomaniac wife! She wants to have a piece of everything.. GEJ, his wife and entire corrupt sycophants have damaged the image of the country beyond repair. My dear! I heard from a reliable source that a very good number of properties in choice areas like Maitama are owned by Patience and she in fact, has more properties than GEJ himself! |
Mynd_44: Mods can see things you can't ma'am. It will be great of the judges are mostly modsFine, the important thing is that they should come from at least 8 active sections on NL |
sexkillz: 3 judges are politics and celebrity section regulars. That's cool! Please there should be just 2 judges from the romance section......or one sef, so as to create space for other sections. |
ItsModella: she said judges from other sections, I guess she meant people who are regulars in sections other than romance.Yeah, come to think of it, they don't have to be mods, just respected members from other sections |
Mynd_44: Erm, Mods from all sections? I don't think Sweetlemon realise how many mods and sections are on NL.At least 8 mods from different sections will be just fine |
AmBeautiful: Well, what a good opportunity !!!Thanks babe! I know people will talk after this but oh well, I will say this to protect the potential contestants because I won't wish for my enemies what I went through during the last competition. These are my suggestions: 1. Miss Nairaland cannot be truly Miss Nairaland when the Judges are only from the romance section. There should be one judge representing all the sections on NL to avoid the culture of follow-follow" voting and voting should be open to all NLers not just romance section folks. For Christ's sake, the pageant is called Miss Nairaland and not Miss Romance Section!!!!! 2. Like someone else suggested, seun (and all the judges from all the sections) should not be allowed to vote until a few minutes to the end. We all know that over 75% of Nlers do not have strong minds of their own! 3. Question and answer segment should be after the semi-finals. It should be done seperately from the finals so as to avoid confusion and disorder. There should be a different thread for this segment. Viewers and voters should be free to shoot questions at any contestants of their choice (provided the questions are decent and does not expose vital info of her private life) This segment is to enable the voters choose their winner based on how satifactorily their questions were answered. THE JUDGES SHOULD NOT DECIEDE WHO WINS. THAT IS THE JOB OF THE ELECTORATE. THE JUDGES DUTY IS JUST TO ENSURE PEACE AND ORDER AND COUNT VOTES FAIRLY!!!! If this pageant is handled properly, I see it becoming the most celebrated affair in Nigerian cyber space, turning contestants into celebrities over night! Well done! Can't wait to be an active voter. |

topmostg: Apart from teaching, can someone tell me where a maths grad can work?Almost anywhere. As long the connections dey. That's just the brutal truth of the situation of things in the country presently. However, having a 2.1 or 1st class and/or backing up the course with a professional degree or masters will help in the absence of little or no connections. |
Obviously most of the people commenting here are students with no idea of what the outside world looks like. That is why they have the mouth to call courses like mass communication, geology, history, comp sci, useless courses. Shebi una go graduate nau, then una eye go open and you go see say no be by course but by your class of degree and connections. |
Eze Promoe: RED FONTS are Igbo groups, BLUE FONTS are Ijaw groups.Oga, the groups are not 'Ijaw groups' oooooooo! They are different and independent from Ijaw. They are have their diff languages and cultures! Please remember google is your best friend. Kai! Seems like you are just looking for my trouble so I will be ignoring you on this thread henceforth |
Eze Promoe: CORRECTION: Stop mistaking dialects/subgroups for tribes.FYI, some languages share the same names with their tribes of origin. Perhaps that's what is confusing you |
I just went through a thread where the poster posted pictures Kalabari, Urhobo, Ijaw, and other Niger-delta girls and lumped them up as Ijaw. I noticed that ever since GEJ became president, people seem to lump the whole Niger-delta as Ijaw forgetting there are @ least 30 other tribes in that area and these tribes are different with different languages and customs. Even though Bayelsa is a multi-ethnic state comprised of many other ethnic groups such as Kolokunu, Ekpetiama, Igbriran, Atissa and Biseni, the state is predominantly occupied by the Ijaws. Other tribes found in the state are Nembe, Ogbia and Ogbein, each having its own dialect. There are four main languages in Bayelsa State, which are Izon, Nembe, Ogbia and Epie-Atissa. Rivers state is home to many ethnic groups: Ikwerre, Igbo, Ijaw, Kalabari, Etche, Ogba, Ogoni and others. The Major ethnic groups in Delta state are Urhobo, Igbo, Ezon, Isoko and Itsekiri. Although the customs of this tribes are quite similar, they are independent from each other. People call all Akwa-ibomites Ibibios and all Cross-riverans Efiks. Akwa-Ibom is mainly made up of the Ibibios, Oron, Annang, Eket, Ibeno. While Cross-river is mainly made up of the Efiks, Bekwaras and Ejaghams. Although the customs and languages of the ethnic groups in Awka-ibom and cross river are so similar that only an insider can tell the difference, they are all different and independent from each other. We have another problem with people understanding the northern part of the country too where the whole area is lumped as Hausa. News flash!: the north has tripple more independent ethnic groups than the south! We have the Hausas, Fulanis, Kanuris, Nupes, Beroms, Gbayis, and at least 180 other ethnic groups! States like Kaduna, Adamawa, Jigawa, and Borno (yeah you heard me right, BORNO!) Have a considerably large Christian community! (So you guys can see that dividing Nigeria along religious lines is quite like removing the sugar from orange juice!) So, there we are, I guess we are now a tad more knowledgeable about our country. Please feel free to drop more useful info for us if you have. Let's devevlop more interest in our country so we can teach foreigners when they ask us and more importantly, it will help us understand each other better and ultimately lead to the re-building of our great nation Cheers! |
hayoakins: Needless to say you never experienced the love and care of a true mother, no wonder you care less about her. What is this one saying here? Do you even understand the topic of discussion here? We are discussing bad mothers and the need for such women to be exposed so that we can curb child abuse and not true mothers. A true mother will rather cut off her hands or legs and sell for her daughter to survive than to tell her daughter to go into prostitution. |
