vedd: Tinubu is powerful because he is a brave man. Remember, he was the last man standing after the OBJ's (2003) onslaught in the SW and the dynamism of the ACN, which he laboured to salvage, has becom a model for the whole of Africa. I may not be his best soppurter, but i think Tinubu deserves all the credits. Not only was he the last man standing, he was able to take most of those states back from PDP and even add more from other geo political zones during the next elections after forming the ACN! Wow!!! Please who can honestly say they don't admire that?? |
lagcity: The man is way smarter than the uninspiring one we have in Aso Rock. He called OBJ's bluff and Yoruba stood by him because we don't like bullies. I admire him for that. Even the clueless one made a lame attempt at winning his favor by sending his Jet to fly Tinubu to Aso Rock. But Tinubu stands firm and is building a strong opposition that might as well save us from the one-party state that we currently call a democracy. This legacy alone trumps what the shoeless, cassava bread muncher will ever leave behind even after using both his and Yaradua's tenure. Can you imagine?! A whole president sending a jet to pick one man. As in see swagger!!!! Wow!!!!! I learnt something today. Which is that whatever you do, do it so well and so differently that you stand out fron your peers. Also, always learn the tricks/ropes of every game you play |

@ Sincere9gerian, from your posts, it's obvious that although you are very aware that Tinubu is perhaps the most powerful force to reckon with in today's Nigerian politics, you desperately wish it weren't true. Perhaps you wish it was GEJ exuding all that swagg right? Lol! |
Demdem: Surely, the wise will have one or two things to learn from him and acts. U don't neccessarily need to like him at all.So true! |
kettykin: with the way Tinubu is going ,Tinubu will end up committing treason soon like his predecessors with a long jail sentence if not death sentence or life imprsionmentSure, Tinubu may fall one day. Nothing lasts forever. But he would have left a long lasting, solid legacy behind. |
joeyfire: How could I forget the most important point. That is one of the main things that leaves me intrigued. The way he handled the whole situation is just ...... You just gotta respect him for that because while other govs would have been busy playing the blame game, he took responsibility and proved that he could work under severe pressure. Like I said. I'm not his loyalist. I don't love him like that. But I just gotta respect him! |
I just watched a documentry on western politics now and couldn't help marveling and wondering how Tinubu became so powerful in Lagos, nay western Nigeria. Even OBJ would think twice before talking to him anyhow. EFCC dares not call his name anyhow. The almighty PDP has been having a tough time penetrating Lagos which they have been eyeing because of Tinubu. AD died a miserable death as soon as Tinubu left. And we all know what will happen to ACN if Tinubu leaves. I don't know of any other politician with so much individual influence in any of the big political parties. Please how did he do this? Tinubu is kind of like a legend in Nigerian politics today because whether you like him or not, you just gotta respect (or fear him) P.S: I'm not a Tinubu loyalist o! I'm just curious |
I don tire abeg! Call yourselves anything you like o! Bye bye! |
One_Naira: This is one of the reason I find Nigeria a waste of space on the prominent African continent. This is a nation where free speech, free belief and free right are refused for the citizen. Everybody and everything have to hold the same f2ked up view, if not, it's a ridicule the other person views fiesta. What a wasteful country. Smh. OP despite claiming your intent was genuine, anybody can see it was not as you claim. So in your view, you justify others flying USA or UK flag but Isreal has to be condemn why? Well based on the replies I read thus far, it's una racism. Funny how a set of people point fingers to another race and condemning and insulting for displaying racism while at the same time, they are equally displaying racism to that same race they are condemning. in what way, are any of una better than the Isrealians that you all deemed racist? a pot calling the kettle black. LMFAO. I advise you all to view yourself in another's person of view cause you all are equally as racist as the Isrealians as you all have displayed on this thread, patheticYou don't get it. It's not about people having the right to their choices. It's about not contradicting yourself. You cannot claim to be a Jew and at the same time be a Christian because the two religions are worlds apart. The Jews do not believe in Jesus. So how then can a Christian now say he's a Jew? Does it make sense? If you want to fly the Isreali flag because you like the country, fine. But going to the extent of calling yourself an Isrealite or a Jew is like calling yourself a Indian because the our religions, practices, and cultures are totally different. |
Abrantie: They fly it for religious identity. Jesus was a Jew. Sure the Jews themselves set him up to be killed but hey... we forgave them.Don't you just get it?? It's not about you forgiving them (that doesn't change anything) It's about the fact that they DO NOT believe in Jesus! They hate Jesus and anything that has to do with him! If you are a true Christian, why then would you want to claim anything with people who hate the very foundation and essence of your beliefs? The new testament of the Bible came in to differentiate a Christian from a Jew. Jesus came in to show us a better and different way from that of the Jews. FYI, the Quoran is quite similar to the Bible. So will you now call yourself a muslim?? Please go and study sour Bible and read more history books. |
skyfall: You're absolutely correct. I wish that Nigerian Xtians read more of history. BTW, their religion is called Judaism (not Jewism) LOL. But we get the idea. Also Judaism is not just their religion. It's their race - you can't be a Judaist without being a Jew. Jews are the MOST racist people in the whole wide world. I can almost say that the KKK is better than them. Thanks! I'm correcting them on my post now |
First, Jesus Christ is not a Christian. It is we who serve him that are Christians. Jesus was born a Jew. He came in to create another channel of worshipping God different from (although not completely removed from) that of his ansectors. Nigerian Christians need to get something into their heads. Which is that Jews are NOT Christians and in fact, hate Christians. Do you guys read your bibles at all It was the Jews who insisted on the crucifixion of Jesus despite Pilate's attempts at releasing him!!! The same Jews made life a living hell for anyone who followed Jesus after he was killed. They persecuted Christians in ways which would make Boko Haram look like saints. The Jews do not believe that Jesus is the messiah and in fact are still waiting for their messiah till today. In fact I once read of a Jewish-American actor who said he could never act the role of Jesus Christ even if paid all the money in the world.Bearing that in mind how can a Christian then say he is a Jew The Hausas can claim Arab because they have similar beliefs and religion. But Judaism is a totally different religion with different practices from Christianity.Fine, we all have rights to follow any practice we like but remember that you cannot be a Christian and a Jew at the same time. It's like calling yourself a muslim or a hindu! |
eledalo: Which kind of dunce is this. If you know the answer to the question say it, if not then shut up and stop derailing the thread. Haba! Thanks jare! Though I'm applying for sales executive (experienced) I think there's a lot more behind that guys attitude on this thread. And I'm sure my guess is right. So career section on NL is also like this??..... |
yamakuza: sorry, i should have added interview too.Pls help me explain to the oga o! I honestly don't understand why he's acting like he doesn't understand. Why would I want to go for an interview in conoil if my current coy pays me better ![]() Na wa o! |
Dis Guy: The Op question is also a legitimate questionPlain and simple! CURIOUSITY, EXCITMENT, BENCHMARKING, CAREER PLANNING!!!!! etc I Don't know why they are acting like they don't know that already. Like I said it's largely because of my gender and perhaps the way I put the question at the beginning. Perhaps because I didn't start by saying that have an interview there or that I want to know if I am qualified for the job or something like that. Well, sorry, I just wanted to go straight to the point as I didn't think all that will be important. The only information I was looking for is salary structure for experienced staff of those coys and their working environment/conditions. Thanks all! |
AjanleKoko: Actually, your gender isn't important.Na wa o! What if I don't get the job?? let me ask you my own question, what EXACTLY is so wrong about wanting to know how much I'd be earning if were to get a certain job ![]() Why EXACTLY must I wait until I get the job before I know how much the salary is? Why am I not allowed to imagine what I'd be earning doing a similar job with what I'm currently doing in a certain company? |
Dis Guy: are we paranoid or what!!! just a question oooAbi o! But I guess it's because I'm female. They are probably thinking I'm investigating a potential boyfriend's salary, or trying to make up my mind between two potential boyfriends!! ![]() smh |
AjanleKoko: Question please.Make up my mind ke? I will accept the Conoil offer sharp sharp if/when I get it. I'm excited about it so I just want to know more! My cousin is the one working on Saipem and we just want to know how far. However, he was just able to get enough info about Saipem. They don't pay much but you become a gold mine after 2-3 years of working there because you will be sought after by the best oil producing firms in and out of the country! |
ow11: You don't get my stance. I am NOT saying you can relate my posting to me in real life.Did I tell you that I have gotten to the interview stage yet ![]() |
ITbomb: In order wordsI already know how much he earns. smh @ your ameborism |
bookface: The country is rife with its security lapses, but i doubt that is sufficient evidence for everyone, who may have posted salary estimates of xyz company, here on nairaland, at one point in time or the other, to now consider investing in bullet proof doors or "long throat" relative repellents .Thank you jare! |
bookface: How is this a security risk? Criminals and lazy relatives will always believe they have a right to your pay regardless what, and that asides, i doubt anyone can figure out who you really are without you divulging personal details, that's the whole point to being anonymous.Na so Nigerians be. dem too dey hide things! Always afraid of 'enemies' *rolls eyes I beg una o! I'm doing the research because I'm trying to get a job there. And the Saipem is for a cousin. I'm not a criminal or long-throat relative (I already work in a reputable coy) You don't need to say you work there (I don't care if you work there) just state what you know about the salary structure and working environment. That's all |
Thanks Jarus. I'm not comparing them. I'm doing separate researches on them. The conoil research is for myself while the Sapiem is for someone else. I'm not an engineer ![]() |
Please does any one know the salary range/package for experienced Sales Executives at Conoil and Experienced Engineers at Saipem respectively? Thanks! |
I tried to be partial and loyal to Nigeria but being who I am, I just had to give it to the Ivorians! Wooooooooooooooow! Did you guys notice what they wear around their necks?? Pure undiluted Ivory!!!! Some had golden elephants. Check out the richness of the materials used to sew their clothes. As in, it. Screams ROYALTY! I'm droooooooooling! Yeah, that black Ghanian beauty is LOVELY. She had on minimal make-up and her skin looks like melted dark chocolate. I guess the couple's simple attire and genuine smiles stole our hearts. |
Image123: ^Sorry, but it is a big deal. If not then what's the difference between a literate and an illiterate? |
Oron is a town in Akwa-Ibom State not Calabar which is in Cross River. RIP to the them. How sad! |
ferhyntorlah: GOD forbid; I reject it for her IJMN! Tufiakwa! Thanks Jare. The teenager and gangster wannabe is just looking for cheap popularity. I could hit my head on the wall for earlier giving his likes all that attention I lavished on them. Kai! |
