Christianity EtcRe: One Of King Solomon's Wives Was From Ogun State, Nigeria. True Or False? by Sweetlemon(f): 6:31pm On Jan 20, 2013
Kslib: What do you understand about literature.. There are some bible verses that you just know without anyone telling you that it has a specific literal meaning... Those verses there are purely literal my dear.
I'm sure you dont know who OBADIAH777 Is when it comes to the connection btw black history and the bible.. When it comes to breaking down scriptures in the bible literally or not,i always look forward to his posts, cos he does his research well and has lots of historical knowledge, and i respect him and his sources for that... I like people who argue with facts and logic rather than the normal "na lie" "na lie" na true" "natrue"..
OBADIAH777 dont just waste your time trying to prove a point to them, cos they will rather argue than bring proof and logic to back their arguement...
Na wa for you o!
Did I tell you that it's all the bible verses that shouldn't be taken literallyhuh
Abeg, I said SOME o!
RomanceRe: Meeting My Mans Mother Tomorrow. Any Advice? by Sweetlemon(f): 5:03pm On Jan 20, 2013
Dondav: Are you supposed to be older than him? embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed
Lol! Maybe the OP meant she MUCH younger than the man.
@ OP, I understand perfectly how you feel. I'm sure you are high one minute and shaky the next right?
1. She will ask you a barrage of questions. Answer them truthfully and to the best of your knowledge.
2. Do not go over board trying to impress her doing stuff you know you won't be able to keep up with. It will come back to haunt you cos she will be expecting you to keep it up.
3. Dress casually elegant, yet simple. A white top on a multi-patterned ankara skirt or an ankara blouse on a pair of jeans will do wonders.
4. Bend your Knees well to greet her. Speak respectfully and use "ma" when you want to say anything to her or ask her anything.
5. Smile.

Congrats! Your man found you important enough to meet his mama formally. Expect a ring soon wink(unless you do something really bad)

obadiah777: LET ME SHUT YOU DOWN REAL FAST ON THE BOLDED

LAMENTATIONS 4 VS 8 Their visage is blacker than a coal <<< COLOR OF THE JEWS

LAMENTATIONS 5 VS 10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine <<< COLOR OF THE JEWS

JOB 30 VS 30 My skin is black upon me <<< COLOR OF JOB

JEREMIAH 14 VS 2 Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; <<< COLOR OF THE JEWS

SONG OF SOLOMON 1 VS 5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem <<< COLOR OF KING SOLOMON

REVELATION 1 VS 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; <<< COLOR OF JESUS FEET. VERY DARK BROWN
Don't take everything you read in the bible literally. Ancient times authors are known for using a lot of illustrations and poetic words in their write ups to create drammatic effects.
It's called LITERATURE

bunmila: He is nt dry jare. He is quite on point. Nigerians are always struggling to associate with great people rather than struggle to be great themselves.
So true!
And it can be sooooooo embarrassing some times, check out the way Yorubas are claiming the Williams sisters up to the extent of asking them when they came visiting!

CelebritiesRe: Agbani Derago VS Leila Lopes; Who's More Beautiful? by Sweetlemon(f): 8:27pm On Jan 19, 2013
Haba nau! Na Laila lopes abeg!
Laila is also dark skinned nau, so who are those ones mentioning ebony beauty here?
Pls check out Laila's CURVES and compare them with Agbani's falling boobs and skinny frame!!!!!
Agbani has a beautiful face no doubt but look at Laila's for 5 more seconds.
I can understand why people will always want to line up behind their own but sometimes, just try to be sincere with yourselves.
Btw, OP, Agbani was the 1st black African to win miss world and not the 1st African as you said. Same way Laila is the 1st black African (or is she not the 1st African) to win miss universe.
Both ladies are achievers sha

You are still a cat fish btw! smiley

Only diff btw my online and off-line personality is that I'm VERY quiet off-line. Yeah, I love to go out and have some fun but I'm quiet. I write a lot more than I talk.
I am quiet but just as blunt and independent-minded as Sweetlemon is.

PoliticsRe: Only Lagos Can Survive Without Oil – Fashola by Sweetlemon(f): 10:38am On Jan 18, 2013
It's the gospel truth. Lagos CAN and WILL survive without oil money and we all know how and why so no need for explanation.
FYI, I'm a south-southerner from the 2nd or 3rd richest oil producing state in Nigeria so my comment is devoid of tribalism

ITbomb: I got this back then.
When a baby sees the reflection, he/she is instantly attracted to it but sees it as a different person. From that moment the baby will be looking for that 'friend' that he/she saw and may sometimes cry unnecessarily when he need he/she want to see the 'friend' again.
Whereas the mother would not understand why the baby is crying.
#YOUAREFREETOQUOTEME
This is the most logical explanation so far. Na real wa for Aficans o! We are so backward! Kai!

RomanceRe: Genuine Question For The Guys by Sweetlemon(f): 7:51pm On Jan 17, 2013
Yes o! Poster, it is mostly the low self esteemed, low class, alpha male wannabes who do it. They have this funny belief that treating a lady like poo will reduce her pride, kill some of her self esteem, thereby making it easier for them to hit on her.
RomanceRe: Read Me ! Read Me !! Read Me !!! by Sweetlemon(f): 11:01pm On Jan 16, 2013
E eya!
Sorry my dear. I understand how you feel. I used to cry almost every night. Until a few yrs ago when I started working on myself. Then I started meeting better and responsible guys. Yeah most guys have played around before finding their true loves. But there are some decent ones who will not lie or deceive just to get btw your legs cos they have standards, class, and swagger.
They will let you know from the beginning what they want and so it will be up to you to deceide if you will allow them or not.
The ones who lie and deceive are the cheap, low class, low lifes.
Work on youself, and watch the classy ones flock around you.
You deserve the best
RomanceRe: Money Or Attention: Which Do Ladies Prefer? by Sweetlemon(f): 9:08pm On Jan 16, 2013
As long as he makes up for lost time, I'm cool with it. Some men spend the whole day with their gfs/wives but add no values whatsoever to their lives (and I don't just mean money)
So at the end of the day, the quality of the time spent together is better than the quantity of time.

kitty kat: Thot u had learnt ur lessons? Some ppl will never change or want to. I learnt painfully that u cant change what ppl think abt u. Is a fun thread. Allow everyone catch fun. Don't take it personal.
Funhuh
Must you insult people and call them vile names to catch fun? What kind of childish mentality is that?
So disgusting watching people act like they don't have a lives outside NL or other means of catching fun!
You guys are just too young to be filling yourselves with this kind of vile. It will just eat you up slowly!

Mods! You can lock this thread now. It has served his purpose.
Thank you

freecocoa: Sweetlemon he only proposed? I'm disappointed joor. Thought the bed guy will have a priest and full wedding guests at his house and give you a surprise wedding but all the same it was an interesting but very predictable story.

So he made you forget your phone in his car and that is how he was able to get your folks to his house, hmm nice one, abeg o how does someone make another person forget her phone? Did he say "baby forget your phone in my car" or did he bring out a white handkerchief and waved it in your face? I guess he did the latter, the handkerchief was laced with juju so don't even answer my questions, we get it.

As for the wedding planning, my cousin just wedded last week and his wife didn't even bother about a thing, she's a very busy woman so she no even raise one finger say she dey do anything, she didn't even see her wedding gown till on the eve of her wedding day yet it was an awesome wedding cos she had capable hands in me and some of her relatives, plus the wedding didn't take up to 3 weeks of planning so relax, don't use not having time as an excuse for rush rush, your man is loaded so you no get wahala.

One last thing, nne biko reduce how you dey take watch nollywood, it doesn't add value to one's life and those things you read in Romance Novels are called fiction for a reason so go easy on the tales dear, you could consider writing children story books sha cos your talent is wasting.

P.S if I no make vvip list for this wedding eh, hmm something go spoil o, chairs wink.
As in how can somebody sit down and write this kind of a thinghuhhuhhuh
Gosh!
So because your cousin spent 3 weeks planning the wedding, every other woman in the whole world should spend 3 weeks planning her own wedding righthuh?
OMG!!!!!!

vivian chinaza: You forgot the afang soup paragraph? grin ..... I still laugh at how non calabar or akwa ibom family had water leaf, afang leaf and periwinkle in store at home on a sunday. And the domestic staff did not go to the market? grin grin, the script no complete sha.

Make u no analyse this movie abeg, u no be BOX Office.
So I need to write every single thing that happened within a whole weekend? As in how I woke up, brushed my teeth, had my bath, greeted everyone, what time we had lunch, when the compound was swept, and when the house staff went shopping for groceries?
OH MY GOODNESSS!!!!!
