RomanceRe: The "Nice Guy" Vs The "Bad Guy" Debate. by Sweetlemon(f): 8:12pm On Mar 17, 2013
Sexkills, you got your definitions all mixed up. It is only small boys and little girls who feel that good guys are wimps.
For a lady of my age and calibre, a good guy is;
1. A responsible guy. One who knows his left from his right. He knows the right thing to do/say and knows when or how to do/say it.
2. He respects and treats women right.

3. He nice to people around him.

A bad guy is;

1. An irresponsible guy. Doesn't do/say things right.
2. An expert and unrepentant manipulator. He manipulates any and everything to suit his selfish interests.
3. He treats women like shit.

However, when you talking about stuffs like this, I will then refer you to the ALFA MALE. This is the kind of guy that makes ladies like me swoon. And alpha male is;
1. A guy who has a strong sense of responsibilty and protection towards everyone and everything within his territory. He will stop at nothing to make sure he provides for and and protects his own.

3. A guy whom one will advice you not to mess with.
4. A guy who stands tall in a crowd. One who commands stares and attention merely with his aura (without even saying a word) when he walks into a room.

5. A guy who respects women. Especially his mum, sisters and own woman. He makes her the queen of his world while he reigns as the king. Woe betides anyone who messes with her.

Now, such a guy will definitely command respect from his gf/wife because he knows how to maintain his self respect even while he kisses the ground she walks on.

playboy19: No, she needs not to answer your stupid question. Instead we need to ask the moronic NYSC co-ordinators this question; Do moslem corpers wear hijab in camp? If yes, then the lady need to sue their azz
Also remember to ask them wether they wear the hijabs with skirts or trousers

StateOfMind: Which paramilitary allows skirts for women during their few months training in camp?

Just be specific cos I really want to learn..
Don't mind them. It's really embarrassing watching these people talk like this.
NYSCRe: Corper Decamped For Refusing To Wear Trousers by Sweetlemon(f): 10:10am On Mar 13, 2013
mimiany: As for you guys arguing that there are male and female trousers. I wonder if you could design your own skirts and could it a man skirt. There should be a difference between a man and woman's dressing.
Even symbols on restrooms doors tells us this, as a trouser symbol signifies male rest room and the shape of a dress for the ladies.
The bible is explicitly clear on this...Deut 22 vs 5.
Even in ancients times and different cultures presently, the dressing of both sex differs. Trousers are designed for men and not women because the zip is located where their kini is to make able to ease themselves Properly, while skirts are shaped freely to give women allowance to do their thing. A man stands to pee while women squats. Imagine the difficulty a woman wearing trousers will face if she is to pee outdoors.
Despite, the moral decadence in our society, this lady has stood her ground on what she believes. The Lord will surely bless you as your action will stand as condemnation to many on the last day.
Kai!
Listen, if there ever was a skirt invented for men, then fine! It will be a men's skirt and women should not wear.
Don't you just get ithuh
It's not about skirt, gown or trouser it is about the PURPOSE and DESIGN of the clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tablet_girl: Errr, so in other words give unto the devils what is the devils? If you go to hollywood, they dress half naked, you go follow suit? The Bible is not an old document now obselete. It is past tense, present tense and future tense. You think God did not know what today would be like He had the Bible written through scholars filled with the Holy Spirit? The word of God says a woman shall not put on that which belongs to a man. No matter the no of Pastors the "christian" world look up to that say it is alright, it is not. The Bible says there is no respect of persons, if you remove one word of the bible, the person is accursed. The Bible says women should not speak in church, no matter the pastors that say it is alright to have women preachers, it is not. The Bible says our hair is our covering, it should not be cut, a woman's hair is her glory, no matter who says otherwise, let every man's word be a lie...His Word is true. I am christian. I wear no trousers, no make up, no earrings. I am proud of who i am. It is not not wearing these things that will take you to heaven, but the Life of Christ in YOU. Too religious? U no know wetin time de talk. Look at the news, look at the Bible, you will know it is future tense indeed. What is the "pass" you will show when you get to heaven's portals? Hw did you stay with the Word of God? So many Pastors are leading people astray, blessings, blessings, blessings. What about the soul? One naira will not follow anyone to the grave. The Bible says make your calling and election sure. Have you? Dear sweet Goldie was not too pretty for death. I don't know her but i cried. So young and vital. The only sure thing is knowing Jesus. Have ever experienced His Presence in your room, in the taxi, in church? Do you talk to Him and hear Him whisper words of love to your heart, has He filled you and off your bad habits and everything you used to be that is not in Him? If no, run for your life. Talk to Him today, there is nooooo time. I deeply respect that girl. Heaven will take note even if no one else does. I deeply apologise for this long comment. Sisom, i am not really directing thing to you, but to everyone. Please, dont be upset, just pained me no one even thought she did the right thing. It matters, no matter who tells you it doesnt. People will be judged by the Word of God, not any preacher's notes unless unless they tally u know. As it was it in the days of Noah....even that should show another landmark reached in the Bible. God bless always. TG quote author=Sisom]it is good to serve the lord but the bible also said give to ceaser what belongs to ceaser. in other words when in rome behave like the romans
For your mind you think say you don make sense bahuh
Some Nigerians really amaze me with the way they think.
For those of you talking about the bible saying women shouldn't wear what pertains to a man and vice versa, can you kindly state exactly where trousers are regarded as male clothing. While you are at it also tell us if male and female trousers are designed the same way.
Let me enlighten you a bit (hoping that you will learn) male pants are sown and designed differently from the ones for females.
For example, there are suits for men and suits for women. the way the trousers of the suits for men are sewn is different from the way the women's own are made. There is a clear difference between a ladies trouser suit and a man's suit!
Another example is jeans. men's jeans are differents from women's jeans. Another one is leggings. Can a man wear legginshuh
una see yasefshuh
So that is what the bible meant when it said that a man should not dress like a woman and vice versa.
smh

Nairaland GeneralRe: SimonAndal's Farewell by Sweetlemon(f): 9:14pm On Mar 06, 2013
Hi op, were you ever molested by a friend, high school senior, family, neighbour, etc. when you were a child? Did any of them try exposing you to gay materials?
If yes, then that's why you are gay. Homosexualism is like powerful cocaine. Once you sniff it, you are hooked!
Don't feel you are any less human cos of it ok,
But let me help you with something.
Ask yourself this question "do I want to remain gay?" If yes then go on and enjoy yourself.
If no then you need to muster determination. You need to gather up enough as much courage you will need if you were to go to battle with the devil himself.
Yep!
How do you develop these?
First of all go down on your knees and ask God to make you forgive whoever that molested you or exposed you to homosexuality. You need to get rid of all the bitterness
Look into the mirror every morning. Look into your eyes then tell yourself as sternly as possible "Simon you are not gay"
Repeat this for a full month.
While you are at it, stay away from anything or anyone gay.
After a month of this, You could visit strip bars (female strippers o!) While you are watching them do their stuff, release yourself mentally. Pretend to be an empty slate, then feel yourself flow....
Goodluck. And remember, God loves you!

RomanceRe: Five Places To Meet Single & Rich Men by Sweetlemon(f): 8:06pm On Mar 06, 2013
Err op sorry o. Just thought I made some lil adjustments...
How to meet ELIGIBLE (take not of the capital letters. There are bachelors and there ELIGIBLE bachelors) bachelors;

1. Develop yourself: The gospel truth is that the kind of person you are determines the kind of men you attract. If you want to attract correct guys, make yourself appealing to them by doing the ff;
A. acquire some measure of independence. This cannot be over-emphasized. Even if you don't have a job yet, look for small business to do. Any decent business at all.
B. Don't ever ask him for stuffs. If he's the caring type, he will spend on you on his own. Give him like 4 months to start get comfortable enough to start giving you stuff. If he doesn't, watch him closer for signs of stinginess. If he is, then I think you will be better off without him.
C. Work on your self esteem. My dear sisters, a woman without self esteem is as good as dead. Trust me. Don't ever throw yourself at a man till you are sure he's willing to catch you. Love youself.
D. Work on your inter-personal skills. Learn how to relate with people. Learn social etiquettes and graces.
E. Be true to youself. Most correct guys can see right through pretence. If you are angry, show it, if you are sad, show it, if your are hungry, show it, e.t.c the key is just to know how to express yourself in a respectable way. Most ladies really need to get rid of pretence. The reason why most guys date their gfs for 2-3 yrs before proposing is because they ve not seen much of her true self. So they need more time to figure out if they can marry her or not. Showing your true xter (and being consistent) hastens their decision.
F. Be natural. Let him see you sometimes without make-up, artificial nails, hair (even if you think you are not pretty without them) the importance of this is to make him appreciate you the way you are. A man feels more comfy with a woman who is not afraid of showing her true self/looks. It makes him feel safe enough to open up to you.

2. Get a life!:
A. Go out, enjoy yourselves, meet people, all kinds of people.
B. Find a hobby, go gyming, anything relaxing and soothing.
C. If you are student, study hard and make sure you get good grades. If you are a graduate, get a job or start a business. Even if it's only 5K you have, you can do something with it.
D. Be proud. Of your accomplishments.

3. Take good care of yourself!!!!!
Men will forever be physical beings. First impressions will always count and your looks will give it a big boost.
Every woman has something beautiful about her, it could be her eyes, lips, skin, shape, legs, whatever God has blessed you with. look for yours and exploit it to the fullest with the right clothes, hair styles, and make up shades to compliment them.
WATCH YOUR WAIST LINE!

Pls note that these tips should be applied even after you are married. Else you'll have yourself to blame when he starts getting bored.
Cheers!
RomanceRe: What Is The Most You Would Spend On Your Girl's Engagement Ring? by Sweetlemon(f): 10:12pm On Mar 04, 2013
E eya!
I have been going through and studying the op's comments.
No, she's not a gold-digger. Just a helpless cinderalla romantic who has been dreaming of her wedding and prince charming for so long that she's so reluctant to wake up to reality. smiley
Op, no need to feel bad joor. Most girls dream, or have dreamt of diamond rings at one point in time or the other. Only thing is that as we grow older, we start waking up to reality that not all of us will be lucky enough to marry such men and so we start to lower our standards and console ourselves with stuff like "things will get better" "I'm not materialistic so I don't care" etc.
Op, there's no crime in wanting a man who can spoil you with money, but please, don't put your mind on ready made only, look out for potentials as well. A hardworking, focused, self-controlled, well connected guy is a keeper my dear, even if he hasn't yet hit the jack pot.
ABOVE ALL, make sure a man loves you!!! The contents of a man's heart is more important than his bank acc. You may meet a rich guy who can afford a giant rock but may make your life miserable afterwards. So endeavor to see the man's heart first before accepting his ring o! This is however not to say that broke guys do not have their own wahala (talking from experience)
Let me finish off by saying that when a man really loves a woman, he gives her the best, materially, physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, etc. So saving 3 months salary for a ring shouldn't be too much wahala for him esp as she will be wearing it forever.
However, bear in mind that for most guys, buying an engagement ring is an emotinal issue. Most guys spend according to how special the girl is. The more special she is, the more beautiful the ring will be, so op, concerntrate more on being a special girl to the man whose ring you will wish for and watch him bring your dreams to reality.
Goodluck op!

Hey ladies, I couldn't just resist sharing this with you Woman to Woman.
Someone will always be prettier.
Someone will always be smarter. Someone's house will be bigger.
Someone will drive a better car.
Someone will earn more.
Someone will travel more.
Someone will marry a more handsome or wealthier husband.
Just let it go. Take care of yourself. Love yourself and your circumstances.
The prettiest, slimmest woman in the world may have sadness in her heart.
The most highly favored woman in your office may be unhappy.
That married friend of urs might not be happy in her marriage.
The richest woman you know may have the car, the house, and the clothes - but might be very lonely. So, love yourself. Love who you are right now. Tell yourself "I am too blessed to be stressed."
Be well. Be happy. Be blessed.
To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world
Settle for the best only, don't ever "manage" anybody or anything. Don't give up on yourself!
The best thing that can happen to any woman is self discovery. Discover who you are, discover your purpose for being on earth, discover what makes you tick, and I tell you sister, you will bless the name of the lord every every morning!
FamilyRe: 9-year-old Boy Commits Suicide After Being Bullied At School by Sweetlemon(f): 9:06am On Feb 27, 2013
Michky: Had to jump to your last sentence (lenghty post). Look, being feared has its benefits too o. Shey you know? I know alot of people that grew up to fear one of their parents and yet still turned out to be the envy of others. Thats a matter for another symposium though. Now, you say parents should endeavor to get closer to their children but you didnt say how that will curb child suicide, remembering that the parents of that kid were indeed close to their late child, yet he still committed suicide. *Just saying* IMO, I think the child must have been wrongly led into believing that suicide was the only way out (perhaps the way billboards and tv are leading kids to believe being successful is equivalent to being a wizkid or tiwa savage replica). It is left to parents of today to teach their children that suicide is a chicken's way of saying goodbye. Wait a min, at that age, i didnt even know what suicide was. Infact, i feared death terribly. Perhaps due to that phrase in the bible that says those who kill themselves will go to hell. Lol. Hey, WAM, religion might be the way forward here o. Abi how una see am? Chei, I wonder where this world is going to BTW. -Lenghty post- Hehehe.
As you can see, I tackled the issue from the root of the problem.
See, most rapists, serial killers, etc were once bullies in school. Some of them were victims of bullying and so turned out bitter due to all the mental, physical, and emotional abuse they suffered while growing up.
Let it be noted that some school bullies become like that due to parental influence. Some of them are from broken homes or are experiencing physical abuse or they watch their dad abuse their mum.
That's why I'm tracing everything to the home and tackling it from there.
However, having said that, children should be taught how to defend and speak up for themselves. Having a healthy self esteem is the best form of defence so we must teach children to love themselves. But in extreme cases, they should be taken far away from places or people who are physically or mentally abusing them.

FamilyRe: 9-year-old Boy Commits Suicide After Being Bullied At School by Sweetlemon(f): 7:09pm On Feb 26, 2013
This is why parents should always endeavour to be close to their kids. These things happen everywhere in the world so it's not about racism.
Parents, please and please be your children's best friends. Get close to them, let them feel comfy enough to tell you things. Because that's the only way they can tell you things like this.
If you do a research, it will shock you to your marrow the number of kids going through all kinds of things ranging from sexual abuse to mental torture to bullying. It will even be more shocking to find out that your happy-looking, playful son is being abused by a g.ay neighbour or being mercilessly bullied by his high school seniors or that your lively daughter is suffering abuse from her teacher in school and/or struggling with severe self-esteem issues.
Parents of extremely attractive kids should watch their kids even more closely (both boys and girls) they are more prone to sexual abuse from adults and bully from jealous peers.
These vices are extremely dangerous to a child's psychological make-up while he/she is growing up. That's why we have a lot of bitter adults around these days. Some adults are so badly affected by all these that they become prostitutes, porn stars, tatto/piercing extremists, robbers, serial killers, rapists, extreme bullies, etc
Most Nigerian parents prefer to be feared than to be loved. Your kids cannot and will not tell you stuff like this if they fear you. Please get close to them now. Tomorrow may be too late

ogugua88: I'm not obsessed with her. I'm not a follower of her tv shows and I don't buy her products. With that said, I'm not going to badmouth her because of a compromising tape from 10 years ago. That's childish considering the person involved has moved onto bigger and better.

I didn't come up with nothing. I gave you a response as did others. You either rubbished or ignored them. You're not pointing out facts. There's such a stark contrast between fact and personal opinion.

I don't live in Nigeria, but if I did, I'd be rejoicing her coming and probably go to Eko Hotel for the show if it's within my means. I'm rejoicing from my current location. Considering the many ills plaguing Nigeria as of now, it's astonishing that A-list celebrities like Kim K, Chris Brown, and the Williams sisters are visiting. Rather than chastise her or anyone else for gracing our fatherland, we should think of ways to keep the positive attention on us. I love seeing "Chris Brown in Nigeria", "Kim Kardashian to Host with Darey" headlines. Compare that to "Boko Haram Bombs Church In Kano, Kills 6". I hope the hosts treat her well so that she can give rave reviews about the country and lure more people, both average Joe and celeb, back to our country that is Nigeria.
You sure make some VERY intelligent comments sometimes. I'm very impressed!
This was taken out of my mind.
I'm not a Kim K fan but I have sure learnt some vital life lessons from her. The most important being that the way you handle failure, and bad things from your past is what determines your future. She's a perfect example of "when life throws you lemons, make lemonades!"
Whether we like it or not, the lady is now a gold mine. And I think that's worth emulating even though you won't use the exact methods she uses
