@Debrief, you are really a strong woman! kudos dear!
@maclatunji that was a lovely advice!
@othenok, that was soooooooo touching! praise God!
@Poster, pls listen to these three people and while you are at it, concentrate on giving ALL your love to your hubby and his kids. Studies have shown that love and cuddling can boost fertility levels! Meanwhile, dont forget your God o!
@All, You guys should realize that when a widower with children marries, he is not doing so for children but for companionship and ofcourse a good mother figure to his kids so dont blame the man for his non-chalance. And as for those of you calling his children ''baggage'', may you never be in a position where your spouse dies, leaving you with ''baggage'' And for those of you accusing her of marrying for money, didnt you hear her say the man cannot afford IVFhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh?? so where the hell is the moneyhuhhuhhuh? So a 23 yr old girl lady cannot fall in lovehuhhuhhuh??
@Kingwax and @Tropilo, what exactly are you guys smokinghuh

FamilyRe: My Wife Speaks In Tongues And Also Prophecy In Tongue Too -but I Dislike It by Sweetlemon(f): 4:44pm On Feb 21, 2012
The gospel truth here is that the poster's wife has started acting too 'holy' which the poster is not comfortable with since he's more of a jovial person.
The wife here is very wrong because her new found spirituality should not stop her from acting sexy with her husband as she used to. This is what is irritating the poster and not really the fact that she speaks in tongues.
@op, like others have said, talk to her gently and tell her that she really HAS to continue being sexy with you if she does not want your marriage with her to suffer. If she still insists, talk to her pastor. This is a serious issue!
Warning to all those wives out there. No matter how 'holy' or spirit-filled you are, you have to still play you role as wife to the fullest. The bible says that the marriage bed is not defiled so being sexy with your hubby is acceptable (and in fact, commanded)by the God who created our sexuality

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Palliatives Not Possible Again – Jonathan by Sweetlemon(f): 10:31am On Feb 21, 2012
For those giving the excuse that he is withdrawing the palliatives because the subsidy removal was reversed, are you not aware that it was not completely reversed and we are paying N97 instead of N141 if the subsidy had been removed. this means that the subsidy was actually half way removed.
In respect of this why are we not now enjoying at least half of the promised palliatives? beaf and co please come and explain this.

@Da Lover, I'm a babe not a 'guy'.
Thank God you know that it is a ''gradual thing'' so you should know that we just need to be patient while dealing with our problem from the root!
Swallow your pride! Start loving and respecting your Yoruba, Igbo, hausa, itshekiri etc neighbours while telling others to do so too. if that does not work then come back here and talk about spliting up and I will agree with you.
PoliticsRe: Sovereign National Conference: Opening A Pandora’s Box by Sweetlemon(f): 2:53pm On Feb 20, 2012
@Logic mind, did you just say lord Lugards Ashawo? So you will call your fiancee, wife an ashawo?
Look at you posts! you say you will rather die of poverty in Biafra huh? look what pride can do to a person! If you die of poverty while your corrupt, Biafran president continues to suck your country dry, at the end what have you gained? what is is the use? You know what? At the rate at which we a are going, you wont only languish in poverty but some tribal clashes could also claim your life!
Pride is a destroyer, swallow it before it swallows you.
This is EXACTLY what is wrong with Nigeria. PRIDE and HATRED and they will continue haunting us as we keep breaking into smalller countries.
RomanceWhy Are Most Broke Guys More Loving Than Those With Extra Cash? by Sweetlemon(op): 10:20am On Feb 20, 2012
Ladies, have you noticed that most broke guys are very loving towards women compared to those who have some extra cash to spare.
In my opinion, I think its more of pretence. Before you crucify me, have you also noticed that most times, after the poor man is married to the lady, he starts showing his true self. that is where insecurity starts rearing its ugly head especially if the woman has more money and the man is just barely there, or jobless. I have seen live cases of this.
The guys who have more cash to spare are usually not so loving cos they are not sure if that is the reason why you claim to love them so they are more laid back but believe me, they are actually watching and testing you to see if you really love them for who they are. You will also notice that when they get married, they tend to be more loving towards their wives (and I believe this depends on how well the lady plays her part)
so whichever guy you end up with, just make sure you are sure o and not just because you think he's a 'wonderful guy' or because you think he will later start showering love on you.

@Da lover, pray tell, but apart from collecting amnesty, what else have MEND achieved so far and how has that area become more developed?
how do you explain the innocent people they have killed and maimed in the quest for ''freedom''?
what do you call a threat to bomb/attack a company just because they are ''meddling'' in your affairs?
@logic mind, so what you are saying is that you will rather be killed by ethic violence in your state than be killed by boko haram? what difference would it make if at the end of the day, you will still be killed?
Pride is a destroyer, and it will swallow us if we do not learn how to swallow it now.

Nope! I am NOT defending the northern youths. I'm only saying we all have our own kinds of madness as exhibited by MEND, etc. and this madness will keep haunting us as we keep splitting into tiny counties. Dont you get it??
Also, by the time we split into about 50 countries, waht are we going to call ourselves? ''calabar 9ja''? ''Enugu Naija''? ''Fulani naija''? Now THAT sounds dull as hell!
FashionRe: Nigerian Tailors And Their Wahala! by Sweetlemon(f): 2:55pm On Feb 17, 2012
the problem with them is that they only care about getting new customers. they dont care about their old customers, they take them for granted. this is a very silly and expensive mistake.
I have learned never to have any particular tailor and I make all my tailors know that they have comeptition. The day you start being loyal to one tailor is the day they will start taking you for granted.

The youths in Kano jubilated? or the brainwashed youths in Kano?
before you start pointing fingers at them, what can you say about the recent tribal clashes in Ebonyi? Are they Northerners? Mba!
What of MEND who are now threatening to bomb organizations like MTN? Are they abokis? No!
Are they not ALL brainwashed by bad politicians? this is what I am trying to say, dividing the country will only be cosmetic and in fact a costly mistake! look at my first post here again to see why!
As long as we still have these evil politicians with us, we will continue breaking into tens and hundreds of tiny countries becausethey will always continue to sponsor such groups for their own selfish interests.

Did you just say ''All effort done to make it work has failed'' precisely and EXACTLY WHAT effort (devoid of selfishness and greed) are you talking about?
Have you started trying what I am now suggesting? please go and start doing so, also tell others to try it, then come back here and tell me it's not working!
LOVE is the most powerful force in this world!
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 11:21am On Feb 17, 2012
We can decide to use this SNC to plant the root of love and tolerance in our systems that should be the main issue to discuss. Believe me, that is the best medicine we can give ourselves. Any other thing will just be cosmetic.
Each of us have our roles to play. like i said, start loving that Yoruba man, start considering that Igbo woman, start smiling at that mallam, start respecting that calabar man, and watch Nigeria climb up again.
If you look closely, you will see that from North to south, Nigerians have a lot of things in common, we are a creative bunch, we have this suffering and smiling attitude, we are survivors, we are hustlers, we love our pidgin English, I have never seen people who know how to 'yab' playfully more than Nigerians. We are religious, we have this nothing is worth dying for mentality (we all heard that boko haram suicide bombers are more or less forced to do it) we love good things, our languages are even similar, I could go on and on! Now tell me who said that these are not enough reasons to keep us together? Tell me how we can fail with all these similarities if we can learn to love and respect one another?
Nigerian youths tell me you do not enjoy saying ''Naija 4 lyf''
Tell me you do not enjoy boasting to other Africans about the Naija flavour in Nollywood or in our music industry. The beauty of Naija cannot be overemphazised!
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 10:30am On Feb 17, 2012
@oiseworld, That Jesus' parents were Jews DOES NOT in ANY WAY mean that christianity has roots in Judaism. They are two totally different religions with different practices. In fact, Jews do not like christians. Jesus was killed by Jews because his teachings contradicted their belief.
Yes, the old testament of the bible, which is used by both the jews and christians makes us appear similar, but our WAYS of worship and beliefs are DIFFERENT. We worship God through Jesus christ while the Jews worship God directly. Till today, they are still waiting for the promised messiah because they do not believe Jesus is the one.
You still do not get my point. the root of our problem is not ethical or religious. they are merely symptoms of the problem. please i beg you, try and see what i am saying.
Christianity EtcRe: Christianity Vs. The Old Gods Of Nigeria by Sweetlemon(f): 9:55am On Feb 17, 2012
Let me correct something here.
Jesus christ died to save the WHOLE WORLD from all sorts of things ranging from curses to sickness! He came so that ALL can be saved and have eternal life. You do not need anything to worship Jesus, just a humble heart, that is the beauty of christianity!
So Christianity is not an European religion, it is for whosoever that believes that Jesus came to die for us.
Read the book of John in the bible for more clarity.
However, it is a choice and not to be forced down anybody's throat. If u wanna worship sango, by all means, go ahead. if u wanna worship amadiaoha, bye bye.
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 9:11am On Feb 17, 2012
By all means, the SNC should hold. let our Constitution be reviewed, but let everybody attack the problem from the root and we can all see what the root is. trying to solve our problem by attacking symptoms of the problem will only be cosmetic.
PoliticsRe: Sovereign National Conference: Opening A Pandora’s Box by Sweetlemon(f): 8:42am On Feb 17, 2012
By all means, the SNC talks should hold, but if it gets to breaking up Nigeria, we will be following the wrong path. please these are the points I listed in the 'NO need for Soverign National Conference- Gej' thread.
before I start, let me say I AM NOT A GEJ PRAISE SINGER/SYMPATHIZER
I have watched in total dismay, the rate at which this site has turned into a tribal war site due to the rising belief among Nigerians that a split up of Nigeria will automatically solve Nigeria's problems.
My dear brothers and sisters, this belief, I must say, is a lie directly from the pit of hell!
Oh! so you guys think that spliting Nigeria will save you from boko haram huh? Well, I have news for you, Nigeria will keep spiliting into many tiny countries as long as the root of our problems remain in tact because we will still be stuck with the same evil breed of politicians who wll continue to sponsor more groups like they have been doing with MEND, boko haram, OPC, etc. More groups will continue to spring up from no where in our new countries! cant you guys see that!!!!
Cant you see that the real problem with Nigeria is LACK OF LOVE for one another and PRIDE?
Let me break it down, look at the west, let's pick lagos as a case study. We have the Ijebus and Aworis at each others throats on the issue of who the real settlers are. Imagine Nigeria breaking up, wont these groups also fight for who should govern over them? Would an Ijebu man vote for an Awori man for president?
Let's look at the Niger delta region, we are all aware of the age old beef btw the ijaws and the Itshekiris. How would they cope with leadership if that region becomes a country?
In my state, the three ethic groups hardly see eye to eye. Imagine Akwa-Ibom and Cross-River as one state, the Oron and Calabar people will never be comfortable with the Ibibios ruling them. We will be back to that 'zoning' crap.
Look at the recent tribal clashes in Ebonyi state. Na boko haram cause am?
Think guys! dont allow the devil make us think that breaking up a family will solve its problems. look at India, it broke into pakistan, then bangladesh. Are they now living happily? tell me!
Look at Sudan, south sudan has been crying for 'independence from the northern part. now they have it. But guess what? Thousands have fleed south sudan due to fresh crisis in south sudan!
yeah yeah, I know it has worked for some other countries but how are we so sure it will work for us? I STRONGLY believe it will not because of the nature of the root of our problems
Let us love and respect each other's tribes, languages, cultures, and religion. That is the ONLY thing that can bring lasting solution to our problems! Where there is love and respect, people will start considering others in whatever they do or say. when this happens, corruption will die a slow but steady death which will then pave way for better governance.
Look at the U.S.A, if there is any country in the world that should be having 'tribal' problems, it should be America because she has an assortment of not just different RACES but also different NATIONS from all over the world. there are also different religions such as Christianity, islam, Jewism, Hindu, etc. This is because there are African Americans, Asian Americans, European Americans, etc.
But do you see a New Yorker thinking that a Texan cannot 'rule' him?
Hell No!
Why?
Because although they may use different platforms, Americans generally speak up with ONE voice! they are together, they are united. do a research and you will see that is why they are still the most powerful country in the world.
Think about it guys!
My instinct tells me that breaking up Nigeria will be one of the biggest mistakes ever made in history, and believe me, its almost always correct!
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 8:31am On Feb 17, 2012
As a matter of fact, it is true that America has a foundation deeply rooted in God. In fact, the born again christians worship God from the bottom of their hearts compared to us here who are more hypocritical in our own worship.
That is why it is easier for them to love and accept each other.
BUT then again, since many of them do not even go to church, we cannot safely say that it is religion that binds them together!
Look closer, the average American respects his neighbours. He considers before taking certain actions such as littering the streets. When a girl brings home a guy to her parents, their first question is not ''where does he come from'' but stuff like ''what does he do?'' ''does he make you happy?''
These little things are what binds them together because these are things that come from their hearts
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 8:02am On Feb 17, 2012
@Kilode, just do your own part and love and respect those around you, if we can all do that then we will solve the problem on a 'macro scale' as you put it.
JUST DO YOUR OWN PART!
@Oiseworld, Isreal is LARGELY a Jewish nation and Jews are NOT christains. In fact they do not believe in Jesus christ! besides, America is much more united than Isreal and you cannot compare America's diverse nature to that of Isreal. Like i said earlier, There are Africans, Europeans, Asians, even Arab Americans. But they are UNITED and I dont see ANYTHING tearing them apart anytime soon.
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 4:30pm On Feb 16, 2012
@Kj Hova, how do we have good leaders when the mind of the average Nigerian is filled with hate, pride and intolerance? is it not out of what we have that we will producehuh?
With the way Nigeria is right now, we CAN ONLY BE RULED PROPERLY BY LEADERS WHO LOVE THEIR COUNTRIES. LEADERS WHO WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO SEE NIGERIA GREAT AGAIN! HOW WILL YOU DO SOMETHING SO PASSIONATE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH LOVE IN YOUR HEART? PLEASE TELL ME?
Do you get my point now?
PoliticsRe: No Need For Sovereign National Conference – Gej by Sweetlemon(f): 4:15pm On Feb 16, 2012
@Kilode, the answer is simple, swallow your pride and start considering that Yoruba man, start loving that Igbo woman and start respecting that Itshekiri, Ijaw, Efik, elder, start smiling at that Hausa man in your area
@Oiseworld, No I dont think Christainity is what binds America because a good percent of them do not even go to church! Please can you just do some more research there? thank you
