Nigerians please be realistic for once in your lives! Do you expect America and the western world to allow a Nigerian from a PDP-led cabal-govt come and turn their bank into a cabal-bank? Hell to the No! Even if NOI has 5 harvard degrees, it does not mean she will earn their trust and respect because she wasn't able to put her own house in order. Yes, we are all pained, even inspired by NOI's achievement of being the first African to nearly clinch the world bank crown, but lets's face reality! let's build our own house first, then watch the west come to beg us to head the world bank. All this rants about racism etc only shows our insecurity. I believe strongly that if NOI had done a better job at handling that subsidy crisis thing and her whole handling of the Nigerian economy, Obama would have seriously considered backing her.

Pastor AIO: like I suspected. Nairaland is doing a great deal to make people atheists and it is not the atheists that are causing it. It is the Inanity of the religious folks.

Fellow christian brothers and sisters. I have noticed the way people try to argue with atheists when they are in they start their debates. I advice that we should learn not to argue with them, if you want to say anything at all, it should only be brief and only when it is necessary. These people are so hardened that it is only God himself that can reveal himself to them so don't bother wasting your time! (Funny enough, it is such people God delights in manifesting himself to) just pray for such people whenever you encounter them.

The good thing about this threat is that this will definitely force Jonathan to do something more tangible about solving this problem since it is now his own life on the line. But I doubt that he will do more than just beefing up his own security (while leaving the rest of us to find our own protection)

Mr I-too-know, no I can swear I never met one like that that I was compatible with. If I did, I sure would have married him. Have you not heard anywhere that different people have different time tables in life? Some people get things without even asking for it while others have to pray and fast for theirs cos they are not so lucky. Not everyone is lucky enough to get their wish granted as they like it and when they like it! some get it on a platter while some have to fast and pray for theirs! In the area of marriage, some women can marry just any male while some have preferences and varying standards. I wonder why some people think that ladies remain single after 28 yrs cos they all turned down eligible men when they were younger. Speaking for myself, if I had married any of the men who approached me before 25, I would have been in deep shit by now cos none of them were the kind of men I would advice anyone to marry. yeah I had one or two decent boy friends but I just wasn't lucky enough to be compartible with any of them (as per marriage).
At the end of the day, it's not everybody who marries early that remains happily married.

I'm 28 yrs too, my two sisters and MOST of my friends are married with kids. I keep fantasising about my dream wedding dress (cos I'm a very fashionable gal) I also wonder whether my kids will be as cute as my sisters' BUT I'm NOT desperate! In fact, I still kick any guy who doesn't give me my due respect right in the a.s.s and outta my life! I have promised myself that the day I'm gonna walk down the asile, it will be with a guy who has good prospects, a good heart, and the fear of God. NOTHING LESS! chikena!

I must say that this picture is soooooo heartwarming! I just pray this actually turns out well and I desperately hope he continues to do good things like this throughout his remaining tenure.

brade: God will help this generation. My only opinion is maybe this synagogue church should focus on God i am tired of hearing TB Joshua everywhere i go. He is not Jesus. In redeem where i worship, We preach the gospel to all nations and hope that after salvation will come healing and any other thing. This church preaches signs and wonders and Many people after getting "healed" by TB Joshua emphasise so much on how he healed them. please God first. know God.

Now I can really see that Synagogue church has VERY active agents on this forum who work round the clock to do their job. They are so persistently persuasive, stylishly singing the praises of the pastor while making sure they jump at any excuse to condemn any other pastor so their's can look good in the eyes of the public. If you watch closely, these people instead of concentrating on preaching Jesus, highlight and praise the name of their pastor to high heavens. Iv been noticing this for a while now and this thread is the last straw!

The only thing that can justify that is abject poverty. any other reason other than that only goes to show that the wedding does not really mean much to him. Ladies beware of these kind of men, if you marry one like that, he will expect you to contribute at least 50% to the house up keep and / or make you write formal letters when you want to request for something, which will have to pass through the House of reps and Senate for approval!

Isn't it lovely to see Nigerians unite in national pride and dignity here!
It means there is still hope for us! We do not realize that we are actually madly, deeply, crazily in love with our country and with each other because tribal and religious sentiments (which we foolishly allow our leaders to feed on) keep us from accepting it!
We are like husband and wife who fight each other every chance they get but if anybody mistakenly insult or harrass any of them, the other attacks the intruder like a wounded tiger! Does that not show they are madly, crazily in-love but are just too proud and too immaure to show it?
We curse and fight each other, yet if any outsider mistakenly insult us, he's in soup!
see! Nigerians grow up! let us come together! Only as one can we truely be the giants of Africa, open your eyes and see that foolish pride gets us NOWHERE!
