EzeUche: The Ibibio would have been the largest group if they considered themselves as one people. Ibibio, Efik and Annang despise being called the same people even though the languages are mutually intelligible. It doesn't make sense though, because when I speak Ibibio, I can understand an Efik man speak and Annang person speak with ease.I hope all the proponents for Nigeria's break up see this. Even in our differnt states, we still have tribalism. I am from Akwa-Ibom and it makes me want to slap some of my tribes men (Oron) when they say they are not Calabar or they are not in the same league with Ibibios! gosh! Do we Akwa-Ibomites and cross riverans realize that it is only us that can tell the difference in our dressing, culture and language? Because the differnces are so slight they hardly even exist! please tell me why all this senseless hate? If Nigeria breaks up, Akwa-Ibom alone will have at least 7 couintries! What a pity! |
ak47mann, Onlytruth, and Logic mind. from your recent posts it's obvious you guys do not understand my message here. Or maybe you underate me because I'm just a young woman? Ok, let me summarise my msg here: WE SHOULD NOT FIGHT OURSELVES BUT OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE THAT IT IS THE LEADERS WHO HAVE PUT SO MUCH HATE IN US THAT WE SHOULD BE DIRECTING OUR ANGER AT AND NOT OURSELVES. BOKO HARAM IS FUNDED BY POLITICIANS SAME WAY MEND AND MASSOB AND WHATEVER MILLIATNT GROUP ARE POLITICAL. FIGHT THE DISEASE AND NOT THE SYMPTOMS! AND WHILE WE ARE AT IT, LET US WORK ON OURSELVES. MOST NIGERIANS ARE NATURALLY SELFISH AND THAT IS WHAT GAVE BIRTH TO CORRUPTION! LET US WORK ON THIS BECAUSE THESE SAME PROBLEMS WILL COME TO HAUNT US IN OUR NEW COUNTRIES. And that is the bitter truth. |
Like I said earlier, breaking up Nigeria is not a bad thing in itself but its just not the answer! Pls people, think about it. Think about EVERYTHING happening in Nigeria today, ask yourself questions then find honest answers. Lastly think about the bloody, pathetic, devastating war that will surely come before a break-up (Let's not deceive ourselves that it will be a peaceful break-up) think about how while we will all be here fighting to survive the war, our leaders and their families would probably be safely tucked away with their loot in some exotic private island abroad! Think about how foolish that will make us look. |
Biafra4tharmy: my sister we are proud of ourselves thats the reason why an average igbo man will not hide his Jewish ancestral genaology. In 1995 some delegates were send to Aguleri and umueri in Anambra state by the then Israeli prime minister to ascertain how igbos are related to them many evidence was found. Umueri,Agulueri and Nri are towns in Anambra state where ancestors of the Igbos(ibo, igbo or Hebrews) migrating from israel first settled therefore the town Umueri and Agulueri means; (Eri is a biblical priest) UMU(meaning children in igbo) and ERI(the levi) so UMU+ERI="CHILDREN OF ERI" also Agulu Eri MEAN Agulu or Agbulu(meaning linage) so AGULU+ERI=LINAGE OF ERI. In 1917 a bronze star of David(most sacred jewish symbol) was dug out 500ft below the ancient palace of Nri Kingdom in igboland. Infact Igbo is the corrupt form of Hebrew(pronounced HEEBO) but the white men spelt it Ibo(instead of HEEBO OR HEBREW). Finally i repeat again Christianity, islam, buddaism etc is not the same as a peoples identity we being jews got nothing to do with religion which remains a personal choice. Not every Yoruba man is a christian likewise not every hausa man is a moslem. Biafrans are Jews the holy people of GOD created uniquely in the Image of Adonis(God)You sure don't know how funny and desperate you sound! I won't argue with you anymore. But pls feel free to google the word 'Jew' in your spare time. Thank you |
Onlytruth: There are also Akwa-Ibomites who care deeply about Biafra. They also don't make noise about it, and that is my point.I am yet to meet an Akwa-Ibomite who is excited about being a Biafran! Pls stop this propaganda abeg! |
Sealeddeal: ....my guy, president has always wanted to make new nigeria.he was there as president already and believed dat he can do it.but what will you say when some section of country present a new act of war dat even nigeria themselves dnt knw the solution.terrorism is new to nigeria and it has added up to the other problems nigeria has already.if GEJ should be given an opportunity to serve,i believe there is bound to be change.the north has already put nigeria government in comatose.nobody can do well in the presence of security threats from terrorist and other unnecessary oppositions.I'm a girl not a guy. STOP GIVING EXCUSES AND GET TO WORK! |
And as for you Beaf, I notice that your blind support for GEJ is borne out of the Niger Delta factor and the fact that you guys produce the oil right? Ok. I gat news for you! I am proudly Akwa-Ibom and you know how much oil we have right? But if someone from my village becomes president and acts, thinks, and talks like GEJ, I tell you he will be ON HIS OWN. In case you do not know this let me tell you now. It is only a true friend and brother that tell you the truth. If you really love GEJ, you will at least advice him against some of the things he does and most especially what he says in public. |
Being a president is not like being on a vacation. It is the most difficult job a person could ever have! That is why it should be reserved ONLY for people who are driven with pure undiluted determination and steel. People who are hell bent on proving the critics wrong |
I just wonder how and why a person would think that being the president and commander in chief of a big, complicated country like Nigeria will be an easy task. For crying out loud anybody who wants to be a president must come fully armed with whatever that is necessary to do the job. A plumber does not say "oh I didn't break the pipe in the first place so don't blame me if its not fixed"! Instead he brings in his tools and puts in his best to repair the pipe and make it work again. Afterall, that is exactly why he is getting paid isn't it? Jonathan and all Nigerian rulers should quit giving Excuses and do what they are being paid for or get the hell outta there. Leadership and respect is nobody's birthright. You earn it by working hard for it! |
ak47mann: we are not going to fight any war in Nigeria will vote through referendum fear is the weakness of a man ,a man that fear to take risk will never ever go further than average if he is lucky, most end up achieving nothing because he is scared of changes and risk behind it,is like you have to keep trying never give up, once u give up your dream dies naturallyHow could you believe that a country like Nigeria, with the current state of things here can break up peacefully? Hello! Wake up! Btw, breaking up Nigeria in itself is not a bad thing but the truth is that it is far from being the answer to our problems! |
Onlytruth: Why do I have this nagging feeling that Sweetlemon is no other person than good ol' Alj-harem?Check all my posts on NL. I'm sure you will get that ridiculous assumption off your head. And who ever told you Akwa-Ibomites don't care about Nigeria? We do! We just don't make too much noise about it. However, I am unique on my own. I have my own identity and I as a person, as a Nigerian, am very concerned about what happens here. |
Logic Mind: You refuse to answer my questions but I will answer yours.Like seriously! Do you realize how comical you sound! I can see your pride is finding it too difficult to admit the truth. But hopefully you will come to see reason soon. |
Logic Mind: I see. You are one those tribes who think igbos would dominate them in Biafra and would rather give their wealth to abokis and stay under aboki domination. You are correct about the injustice in Akwa-Ibom. But your idea of how to solve the problem is dead wrong. Don't you just get it?! You and your family could die in the bloody war which would surely happen before Nigeria cann break up and even if we do, what pray tell, is the guarantee that our leaders (being the same ones that lead us now) will not continue looting and exploiting us Please tell me you are 100 percent sure of that! Biko! Try and see things from another point of view that is different from yours. And I ask again, how many post-war countries or countries which are products of bloody wars have you seen that are flourishing? Please list them here |
Biafra4tharmy: you speak like an individual deprieved of essential knowledge in the genalogical history of the different people that constitutes this entity called *NIGERIA* My sister Jew is an identity(e.g igbo, hausa, ijaw, yoruba etc) while Judaism is a religion(e.g moslems, christians, paganism etc). Therefore , our being Jews got absolutely nothing to do with religion, infact many Jews in Israel are christians and do believe in Christ(messaic Jews) whereas the orthodox jews are conservatives. Biafrans are Jews(decendants of Gad;10th son of Jacob) that fact is not questionable whether we practice Judaism, christianity, buddaism, islam,or paganis is not relevant. Afterall we have many hausa christians in the north vice versa. I rest my case- God bless Biafra and may the enemies of Zion perish in utter darkness!!Excuse me, but how can one be a christian and not believe in Jesus christ who is the very essence and meaning of christianity? Does that make sense? And the Jews you keep linking yourselves with, do they even recognize your existence Have they at anytime called you their brothers So why claim family with them Excuse me? Hello! Like someone rightly said you do not have to claim another's heritage just to be relevant. It is low self esteem at it's peak! Be proud of your own skin, be proud of your own home! Nigerians! Let us learn to LOVE ourselves! I tell you, it will take us places we haven't even dreamed of! |
And as for that poll up there, I'm very sorry to say that if Nigeria breaks into all those countries and more (cos the simple truth is that if Nigeria breaks, it will be into at least 20 countries!) it will be so bloody that you might not even be alive to see Ghana or south Africa claiming the converted giants of Africa title! How many post-war countries have you seen flourishing ? It beats me how some people can believe that breaking up a country as Nigeria will just be a matter of "sharpening your cutlasses" and "polishing/loading your guns"! |
Logic Mind: You are what you call yourself.Oga, Jesus was born by Jewish parents but he brought in christianity which the Jews killed him for. I know the hard truths I'm saying here are too bitter for your pride to gulp down all at once. But I beg you to at least try to understand what I'm trying to say. Thank you |

You people calling yourselves Jews do not even know who a Jew is! Its quite laughable that a christian will call himself a Jew! A jew is someone who does not believe that Jesus christ is the promised messiah from God. Till today, thee Jews are still waiting for their messiah. In fact, it was the Jews who pushed for the death of Jesus christ even when pilate had washed his hands off him! Till today, Jews still believe or should I say, choose to believe that Jesus never rose from the dead. And some people here (christians) are calling themselves jews just so that they can raise their "Biafran flag"? #smh |
P CyberG: ^^ Thumbs up!Sosong o! Lol! But I hope I am able to drive home my point to these kind of people. We really need to wake up |
You guys. Take a deep breath, then go to the 'Nigerians please!' thread then read through with an open mind. Thank you |
I am from Akwa-Ibom. Yes I am very proud of my tribe and yes, where I come from is not important as far as my message is concerned. I am a NIGERIAN a NAIJA babe and boy am I proud of that! |
Arosa: Is this directed at bokoharam? Your main post I mean.Nope! I'm talking to each and every Nigerian, including myself. We need to start using our heads! We need to learn how to start seeing things beyond the Yoruba, Ijaw, Hausa, Igbo lines. We need to stop allowing our greedy politicians take advantage of our religious and ethnic sentiments. We need to see that boko haram, MEND, MASSOB, and all other so-called ethnic groups claiming to be standing for their people and their beliefs are all political and aimed at ensuring that we the common Nigerians are distracted enough to keep hating each other while they loot |
Why should I remove that part when its part of main gist of msg? We cannot and will not thrive with the nauseating level of tribalism in us and that is the truth. Please think about it. |
I understand why there is so much anger and hate every where now. It is very understandable. But please, I appeal to us to take a deep breath, release, then count 1-10 or 1-20 if you are REALLY angry. Then please read what I have written here with an open mind. Please I beg you. Yes! Nigeria is in a hot mess and in critical situation. Yes we have lost our minds such that some of us are now calling for war without even considering the effects of war. Someone rightly said here that 90% of the people calling for war have never witnessed war in their lives and so have no idea what war is. They naively believe that "sharpening their knives and cutlassses" and "loading their guns" will save them from the pathetically, devastatingly, hearbreaking blows of what a war can bring. Perharps these people do not have children to consider? perharps they do not know that even their children could be taken from them, molested, or used to fight the war that will give them them their cherised "Biafran", "Odua" or "Arewa" dream? Perharps these people also do not realize the possiblity of having all their sacrifices go to waste when if they eventually get the country of their dreams only to find out that they will be back to square one all over again when their Biafran, Arewa, and Odua leaders continue to treat them the same way or worse than while still under Nigera! I'm sure we will be happy then. Or maybe our pride will not allow us admit that we have been too blind and foolish to see past our arrogant noses to see the real problem. Perharps then it might become too late for us to see that we should have fought the real problem instead of allowing it turn us against each other. Perharps we might be too proud to see that our real problem lies in us. What am I trying to say? We Nigerians, are a bunch of egoistc people who find it difficult to accept the truth and that is why our beloved country is crashing before our very eyes! Let us first lear to love our neighbours. lets learn to accept others regardless of tribe and religion. Look at America, they have tribal, racial, religious, and even national (there are Asian Ameicans, African Americans, European Americans, etc.) differences but when was the last time you heard them them screaming, "You this Afican American!" or that "European American"? when last did you hear a white man say he cannot live in the same area with a black man? And even when you hear cases of racism, do you hear all the blacks or all the whites screaming "lets sharpen our cutlasses"? do you hear their muslims calling their Jews or christians "infidels"? Nigerians!!! cant you see? can we not see that our greedy leaders are the ones turning us against each other? Is it not these same leaders that will still rule Biafra, Odua and Arewa? cant we see that while we are busy attacking aand retaliating attacks, they are busy feeding themselves fat in our kitchen while throwing the bones at us as more incentives for us to keep fighting each other? can't we see that these fights are distractions to take our eyes off them so they can keep clearing our kitchen? Please think, think about it. I know it's quite hard but just try to see that two wrongs can never and will never make a right. And while you are still thinking this over, ask yourself how many war-broken countries are thrieving today. Please can this be put on the front page? Thank you. |
2ru-talk:Did u attend IUO? |
greatlee: I love this man so much as a super man of God. Infact, he is the only true pastor in Naija as far as am concerned. How many pastors in niaja have helped the poor and needy in one way or the other? The anseer is non, rather they will prefer to give to the already bouyant fedral gvt. Stop talking bad against this man of God!!Excuse me, but the fact that other churches do not openly broadcast their charitable deeds does not mean that they do not do so at all. Pastors do not have to give checks to widows or donate bags of rice on T.V before we can know that they give. After all, such kind of giving are private. Except in cases where things like free hospitals or schools are built. Why show giving out bags of rice on T.V? Is it because he wants to make the receivers happy or because he wants to lure potential members? |
