Badtman:why are you calling her a prostitute? Have you seen her engaging in sexual activities for money? Is there a different definition of prostitute? |
jahsharon:Missionaries did NOT engage in the slave trade. Business men did. Learn your history. |
Op, I agree with almost everything you've written. The part about no decent girl taking part in a beauty pageant is not true. I know some who have and they won. Anyway, you left out a very important lesson. That people get so engrossed in blaming the victim that they forget the real culprit. Whoever put that video online is a heartless person. Whoever made sure it got so much media attention is despicable. |

bennyann:To admonish her husband publicly is an insult. To question his decisions publicly is an insult. To try to tell him how to do his job is an insult. The men who are supporting her actions should imagine their wives going to the said men's offices to complain about how they do their jobs. Nothing wrong with sharing her opinion with him in private or calling family and close friends to help talk to him. How disloyal can a wife be? |
PassingShot:Amen, and thank you. |
abokibuhari:Why? Because he wants a loyal wife? |
Tremor007:They've been married for 27 years. |
I don't understand what all the hullabaloo about the president's statement is. He said his wife belongs in some rooms in his home. He did not say all women belong in the kitchen. Everyone gets married for different reasons. He needs a loyal wife who will tend to him at home and not interfere with his job. He hasn't stopped her from working. In fact, she is super lucky. Her husband is not the typical Muslim. He seems to be a one woman man. He divorced his first wife for her disloyalty. That's the only reason he got married to Aisha. He hasn't married a second, third or fourth wife. He is in no way sexist. |
I have never been pro Buhari, but this action of his wife tells me that Buhari is the best leader for Nigeria. A president does not need to know anyone personally before appointing him. Appointments should be made based on ones capabilities. His wife is complaining? Is a president's wife supposed to have an input in presidential appointments? She is probably bitter because she's been unable to sway The President. She may be able to sway her husband, but not in his capacity as the President. Thank you Mr. President for not giving in to your party and family to the detriment of Nigeria. Now, please do something about the dollar rate. |
babyfaceafrica:The question may be " what did the elderly statesman do for any region when he was Vice President?" |
evy1:See who is talking about being vulgar. You who rushed to quote me, calling my point of view trash. You who displayed your lack of breeding and social etiquette. Learn more manners. It will help you in the long run. |
evy1:Trash? Trash would be me calling you a mindless buffoon, or a cantankerous idiot with a mob mentality. But, I will try hard not to even whisper that. What an ignorant person you are. I hope the day your partner does something wrong and your picture and child"s pictures are posted on the Internet, you'll think that's a good job. Have you noticed that said pictures are no longer up for public viewing on nairaland because it contravenes privacy laws? |
kokoye:Actually, Tinubu owns the school. That is if it is the LPS on Glover Road in Ikoyi. |
tobimillar:This is the reason why bullying thrives in Nigeria. When one sees differently one must be the same as the "accused". |
page5:So when one has a deference of opinion from yours, one is either silly or an associate of the accused. You try! I will rather be silly than think like you. |
lcoral:There are better ways of handling this. If she is on this forum, then the mods or owner should be notified with proof. What did her husband or baby do to have their pictures splashed on the net? Why does she need to defend herself to you please? Are you the police? Judge? Her accuser? Who exactly are you to judge this case? Most people who get duped are usually very naive or just plain greedy. Why will you do business with a faceless person in the first place? |
This thread is so wrong! Why are you bulling or blackmailing her? If you have a genuine case against her, then report to the police. You put up pictures of her husband and baby! Did they dupe you too? All this hate! You probably think you've shown strength and courage. You've just shown how Lilly-livered you are. |
I'm still wondering why Nigerians will insist on tarnishing the image of Nigerian girls. According to the op and some comments I just read here female bankers, computer village workers, ... Majority of Nigerian girls are runs girls. In other words, prostitutes. This is definitely not a true reflection of females in Nigeria. Perhaps it is simply true of the type of females the op and Nigerian female bashers associate with. |
Perhaps now he is wandering why he didn't curb his temper in the first place. The way people speak and act so recklessly these days instead of exercising some self control just doesn't make sense to me. I read somewhere that a strong man is one who can rein his anger, and one who acts in anger is weak. |
depressedsoul:Your story is indeed an unfortunate one. However, like quite a number of Nigerians, you're waiting for things to be done for you. You dropped out of school because you lost your mum. Have you heard that when something is important to you, you find a way, but when something isn't, excuses abound. Quite a number of people have washed clothes, done menial jobs just to pay for their education. They understood that they could transform their lives in the longrun. Even now, you're there wallowing in self pity instead of standing up and doing something. I watched the transformation story of a guy who is comfortable now. His surulere period wasn't wasted. He went from door to door asking people to give him clothes to wash even though he was a graduate. "God forbid!" is probably what you'll shout to the high heavens. Today, he is a huge employer of labor. I don't mean to be insensitive, but if you don't stop this pity party you will keep fantasizing about insecticides. |
Please let me be candid. Your write up is full of how fantastic you are. How you're better than your predecessor. How you're better than your boss. How your ideas are the best. I know you didn't explicitly state these. But, please read what you wrote again and you might see it. Please note that NOT every single idea of yours may be great. All your ideas don't need to be accepted. All your ideas may be great and accepted by your boss but may not be implemented. May not be implemented because there are better ideas from others or because it just isn't the right time or... Understand that your boss has the overall picture. You don't. |
This "article" is just petty. How Nigerians spew their myopic opinions as though they are stating facts; as if they are in the know of anything baffles me. Op, elections have been over for months now. Let's move on. In every competition there's a winner. It will be foolishness for the winner to focus on those that lost just so he can keep on taunting them. That's what you're doing at the moment. Hopefully, President Buhari's mind set is better than yours. He is the president of Nigeria and not of only those who voted for him. |
deadZONE:You really need to watch what you say. Her father is the late Femi Segun, a highly respected man. Not a druggie in anyway. |
Bonapart:Even if it is Naira 5.00. He needs to show some integrity. |
frankyychiji:He is very wise. What he said is intelligent . Parties should do a background check on prospective members. |
PassingShot:You need to get over the elections. Since when did President Buhari become a sacred cow that can't be criticized? He should be respected as the president, but his actions affect us as a nation. We need him to make good on his promises. I though that he had a plan in place to move Nigeria forward. That all these years he was trying so hard to become the president was because he already had a blueprint. Anyway, he should expect that we as a country will view all his actions with a microscope. Not just him, but the actions of everyone in government. We do not go by blind faith anymore. Oh, and please talk about ex president Jonathan with more respect. To trivialize the seat of the president is to disrespect Nigeria. |
onomeasike:You must have a different definition of disrespect. Anyway, stop being in denial. The Ooni is dead. Others have reported it. |
Op, why can't you buy data from the service providers directly? |
There are five heads, so there must be five babies. |
