OYASALOF: Hello everyone. Kindly help me out with my pof issue.
My husband is the principal applicant for a family of 3 and he has 2m and 1.7m in separate accounts. I also have 2m in my own account.
The issue now is: we want the pof to be in one account 1. Should he move his cash into one account? 2. If yes, will he be needing Loe? 3. I will also be transferring the 2m from my account to his account, do I need LOE or gift deed? 4. After moving the cash, do we need to wait for another 6months because the money has exceeded 6months in all the accounts.
Thank you. happytbaby: I know you want them all in one account but I think it is tidier to leave them as they are, make a summary table in your LOE (may be the first page of your POF attachment) and also add a letter giving Oga permission to use the N2m in your account. Someone has posted a sample table on this forum....not sure of the moniker now.
The summary table should include an account name and bank name column. Doesn't that mean they would need to get 6months statement of account and Reference letters on all three accounts, if the banks don't give letter in CIC format? |

Newmum0615: I know, I am just referring to the fact that people are now saying that their limit is $5k. My own fees exceeds 1k and I am wondering at the different info I am getting on the limit thing. Can you call their head office, or go to another branch? Also there's usually a different department overseeing USD and visa/credit card issues. Sometimes they don't have the current/all info. My branch said dey don't give letter in CIC format. I went back with proof after learning here someone got from another branch. And they later gave me the CIC format. |

Newmum0615: You just want to burst this my bubble sha. When you made your payment, was it only at one point before submission that it asked you to pay for both? Cos I thought that since we have the option to pay RPRF later, then the payments can be collected at 2 different times before submission. I intend to pay for both fees before i submit but this card ish is my concern. Sorry at the bolded, lol. While filling out the forms, it shows you a place where you select if you will pay only the application fees or both fees. So I opted for both fees. After all the uploads, payment is the very last thing, so it shows you how much you are to pay based on your previous selection. If you selected only application fees, it shows you the amount. You pay and your application has been submitted.. I heard access bank has increased the dollar limit to $5,000. I don't know how true that is. Or look for a dollar card you can fund and use. |

Newmum0615: See as you just solved my problem without knowing. So I can pay cost of recovery fee of $1250 with my card and then use someone else's card to pay for the $980 RPRF. They can be paid separately like that right? Comman collect kiss jare. LOL. Not sure about the bolded, I didn't do that. But Yes they can be paid separately at different times. CIC will contact you when to pay the RPRF if you choose that route. Which means you can only pay the $1250 when you submit. The RPRF is at a later time. Hope you understand... |

Newmum0615: Thanks. I have to start looking for a dollar card then. I was thinking I could use my GTB naira debit card. Oh, ok. Just ask around because that $1000 debit card monthly limit won't be enough for the whole payment. Another option is pay application fees while you use another card for the other fee. |

Newmum0615: Hello my people, who has used GTB to make payment in the past one week for anything Canadian? I want to confirm their CAD rate please.
Secondly if I want to pay my Cost Recovery fees and RPRF(upfront) which comes to a total of $2,230, how much should I credit my account with assuming I can even accommodate that amount? the rates keep changing. As at Wednesday online converter gave me $1800 for 2230cad. I used first bank card and I was charged $1866. Just load like $2000 if it's a dollar card |

GlitteringStar: Update it.
"Updates to fund requirements: We update the proof of funds numbers every year based on 50 per cent of the low income cut-off totals. The changes are small but there is a chance it could affect your eligibility. Be sure to check the new numbers to your own once they’re posted". Keep your funds up-to-date in your profile. (Culled from CIC's website).
Good day house, a quick question. I forgot to edit the amount in my profile from $19,000 to $19,092cad. Do I need to raise a CSE, my AOR was yesterday. What do I do? Thanks |

happytbaby: @ Sweetrie...... Even with IELTS 8777; his CRS points with a first degree (only) may be too low to get ITA. ACCA will give him another degree, with two degrees, the increase in CRS will be at least 30. Very true. I assumed he wasn't above 30yrs |

Eman007: Hello everyone. Stumbled on this thread when it was in part two and I've been following, though not avidly but would try to read up all (from part 1) soon. But before that, I have a question which might have been asked before but I'm going to ask anyway. I'm in my final year studying for a degree in Business Education. Normally, since acquiring the ACCA is quite expensive in Nigeria, I plan on doing my ICAN upon graduation and then apply for exemptions in the ACCA which from my research could be used in acquiring a CPA/CGA in Canada due to the Mutual Recognition in place. Do you feel it is necessary to go through all that Thank you You should just try to acquire accounting related experience or relevant NYSC experience and then apply for the EE, then maybe fortunately if you get to travel to Canada through the EE program, do the CPA itself in Canada |

fantababy: Lol, let's allow this matter rest kwo. I used my WES number without adding any IMM. It scaled through.
You really don't need to upgrade your IELTS result to boost scores post ITA. You already have the ITA.
Post ITA, you can review and change your details. I was referring to pre ITA. No problems sis. All the very best! |

fantababy: This is a loophole on IRCC and people are using It to their advantage. 1) They allow incomplete numbers on the form 2) They allow you to review and adjust your details post ITA.3)There is no caveat that says, ECA report date must be before ITA. 4) They have given their examples as what misrepresentation means to them. NO NO NO. Objection!! This is manipution of the rules. Lool. 1. How do they allow incomplete numbers? I have filled the forms and there's no place I didn't have complete numbers to submit 2. Review and allowing to adjust is because people rewrite IELTS to boost scores and some people get new degrees that could help boost scores. Assuming the options no dey na we go still complain. 3. IRCC says you need ECA and IELTS to enter the pool, doesn't that indicate that the dates on your ECA should be before the date you get into the pool. 4. Just do everything together with hubby. So that anyhow it turns out you have got each other's back. Good luck!! |

But by the time we all decide to create profiles and ECA /IELTS is not ready, but you get ITA and decline, thereby reducing chances of people who actually have completed ECA & IELTS. Why not just wait.... Let us not be stumbling blocks to others, as we would not want others to block us too. |

inagbe1: Good afternoon all, i really appreciate all what you are doing, may God bless you all. I am currently preparing for my IELTS and i would like to know if my evaluation of credentials would be done by WES or the body regulating Pharmacy profession in Canada. Is it advisable to start the evaluation before writing IELTS? Start the evaluation. Pay for IELTS and write, your results would be out before your evaluation is done. Regarding the body to evaluate your degree, read page 0. |

Kmgb: OK. But what's the process of remarking though?do I have to go collect the TRF first? You need to go to the bank, raise a bank draft of N15,000 in favour of British Council. When you get there, your ask for your TRF and tell them you want to apply for EOR, you’d be given a form then asked to hand over the result and the bank draft. |
