Both make sense, at the end approving or denying is by choice on the VO’s side macron: Hello Guys,
My visa got denied today by the korean guy and I honestly think it's because of funds. The money in the account was only about 2 million more than the cost of attendance.
Transcript
VO: I see you've gone to america before me: Yes I had a exchange program that lasted for about 6 months in 2015
VO: I see you have a family member in the US me: Yes he's currently on OPT
Vo: Who will be paying for your stay me: My uncle
vo: what does he do? me: He's a medical doctor at ___ hospital?
vo: Can I have his statement?

Might be bank statement verification or anything, it could even be with the sch u applied to or the one u graduated from….Just be positive. deolubajo: Having the same issue. Two weeks now for me. Seems you want to be sent back to naija when you arrive. Let you prof know the rule. ayofag: Hi guys. I need your assistance with this. How can a student with an F1 visa resume about 3 months to the start of his program because his supervisor wants him to participate in a training exercise just as an opportunity before his program start date. Meanwhile, the rule states that a student can only travel 30 days to the beginning of his program. Thank you |

The rates depends on the market for that day. Just watch out for for when Naira makes sense and then go change it vc1177: Is it certain that I will get a fair exchange rate on that that of my departure at the airport? Or, should I go and change the money before that day? |

Yes u can, December bank statement would be available in January but if your sponsor can do a walk-in, they should be able to print to your desired date in December Jidebambam: Hello House,
I applied for expedited appointment late November but was denied. I was able to cancel and secure an appointment for December ending. Since I was thinking my appointment would be approved for early December, I got my statement of account ready from my sponsor with the dates from June to December 1. Can I still use this by December ending or I have to request another statement from him? |

I’ll answer two of your question. You see to avoid stories that touch the heart, jejely go to the airport and change your money. Withdrawing with a MasterCard happens but it comes with charges your bank places on ur withdrawal. Inzaghi04: Once your visa is approved by the VO. It usually doesn't take time to receive your passport. I collected mine today. It took just 3 days before I was notified via email to go for my pick up.
I will like to ask some few questions.
1. I will like to ask those already in the U.S. How do you do the conversion of naira to dollars for personal use when travelling? do you convert via the black market people or through the bureau de change in Nigeria airport? which is better and what do you advise.
2. can a Nigerian visa or MasterCard be used to withdraw money in America? Has any one tried it?
3. Is covid19 test required to board the plane (Turkish airline)? I called them but they said I should call the embassy to the country I am going to inquire. Please did anybody fly Turkish airline recently? Was it a requirement?
Finally good luck with those waiting for their interview. It will end in Joy |

Can’t you read to understand...Most!!!! Didn’t say all. So here in the Uni of Minnesota, they don’t really accept Spring resumption for some courses. Does that clear your doubt. Janet200: Lies, I know someone that got funding and visa that’s traveling soon for spring semester to that same school. Just that the school deadline to request for spring I:20 was November ending |

I like how you simply turned it into a chat.... welcome to America AkinOseni: Good morning all. Now I'm done catching my breath. Here goes the transcript:
School : Bowling Green State University, Ohio Programme: MA (Literary and Textual Studies) Visa : F1 Status : Approved Funding: $25508 Deficit: 3K
I was attended to in an anteroom by some white male VO
VO: How did you know about Bowling Green ( being the first question, while seeming not to have heard my greetings).
Me: I read about BGSU in Princeton Review. EducationUSA and through some random google searches.
VO: How many schools did you choose?
Me: I chose two schools— Alabama and BGSU
VO (cuts in ) so BGSU gave you more money than Alabama and that’s why you are choosing BGSU?
Me : (confused and almost lost for words) No, not really...ermm... I had actually chosen BGSU because the university is rated high in terms of teaching quality, not only in Ohio but also in the United States as a whole.
VO: No (speaking assertively) you have chosen BGSU because of the money, or did Alabama offer you any money? How much did Alabama offer you?
Me: (almost dumbfounded) not really because of the money ...
VO: No, it may be because of the money. There is nothing wrong about that. $25508 is a huge money.
VO: Where do you stay?
Me: Ikorodu here in Lagos
VO: Oh OK, you are a teacher?
Me: Yes I am a teacher. I teach Literature at Eppie International School
VO: What?
Me: Eppie International School at Ikorodu
VO: How many students do you have?
Me: you mean the number of students I teach or you are referring to the school capacity?
VO: Yes, I mean the school capacity
Me: 120 in all
VO: What? (sounded stunned)
Me: Yes, 120. It’s a high-paying school.
VO: What do you teach?
Me: I teach Literature and I also freelance for Digirature (I don’t think he heard the latter)
VO: So who is your favourite author?
Me: William Shakespeare (I actually fancy Alexander Pope the most but Shakespeare surfaced first in my heart and I did not want to engage in any internal conflict, not at that moment)
VO: so you did English Literature (or something like that)
Me: Yes I did. In fact, I taught Shakespearean texts during my national youth service scheme at the department of English, Zamfara College of Arts and Science.
VO: Do you know Nnedi Okorafor
Me: (Just heard the name for the first time). ‘No I don’t.
VO: (looked astonished) you don’t? s/he is a Nigerian. S/he wrote the novel — Lagoon.
Me: Oh, I don’t know her. There are many great Nigerian authors such as Sefi Atta, Chimamanda Adichie, Lola Soneyin, Chogozie Agbim (Obioma intended but I ended up calling the name of a Nigerian goalkeeper but I mustered that divinely inspired confidence ) and a couple of others – pulling this as a stunt not to appear blank and stupid on home front .
VO: But you don’t know Nnedi Okorafo?
Me: what text did you say he wrote, again?
VO: Lagoon
Me: I don’t get that. Could you spell please?
VO: Lagoon like where we are ( referring to the location of the consulate on the Island)
Me: Oh OK. When was that published?
VO: it was published in 2014, no sorry 2015. It is about some aliens who came from ... hesitated
Me : (I quickly filled in an attempt to take charge of the conversation and make up for my ignorance about the author) ... from the space
VO: Yes from the space. It is quite interesting. Muttered other words but I could only hear so when you get to .... don’t blah blah ... Goodluck to you...
Actually, I didn’t know what his decision was but he gave me a white paper and retained my passport and I was sure he had approved my visas.
Epilogue (Comedy of Error)
The guy at the door told me congratulations (perhaps he had heave-dropped the VO). I was happy too until I got out and read the paper:
The consular officer refused your visas due to CGI reason. You need to submit additional documentation and maybe schedule another appointment. My hair stood on end. I couldn’t get the drift. I knew if I had my visas denied, he should not be with my passport. Many thoughts were competing for attention in my heart, the most prominent of which was that I had been denied the visa because I did not know the Nigerian author – Nnedi Okarafor. But I was not too convinced about the refusal since he retained my passport and offered a white paper after the interview.
So I took everything to the CGI point for further clarification.
The woman who attended to me asked: what did the VO tell? Did he say your visa has been approved or did he tell you to provide any document? ‘ I couldn’t even get him because he was rushing towards the last part of the interview,’ I said. But he has my passport with him. ‘ He has your passport with him?’ the woman asked. Yes.
OK, bring your Confirmation. I gave her. She came back some 10 minutes later with a man, both smiling. ‘I’ve got some good news for you, said the woman. ‘You will go in again and meet my colleague, the man added.’
I was led to the interview room again. I had thought it would be another round of quizzing. But on get there, the guy quickly spotted me and led me to a woman. He was the one given the wrong paper. It was a mistake, the VO wanted to give you your pick up note — your visas has been approved.
She took the other paper from me and gave me white paper for Issued visa delivery. If you want somebody to collect your visas on your behalf, fill the back paper (blah blah blah)
Remember, a fellow posted something like being initially denied and later called back? I did not altogether believe but I had a change of mind yesterday after the spectacles of comedy of error.
Note : Prepare well and don’t rely solely on regular questions. My interview did not altogether take the regular route. Remember some very basic things in your field too. Who knows if the VO has just bagged a degree in International Relations and may be willing to test your knowledge on the most basic thing about the discipline?
Most importantly, pray, pray and pray as if that is the only thing you are taking to the interview. Our God is able. Alhamdulillah. I pray Allah, our God ease the affairs for those having their own interviews in coming days. |

Finally the cold don comot finish, i need hot sun...lol. So i've been seeing things like will the usa would be strict about visa for the coming summer and fall and just felt like sharing my view. Firstly if vaccines could be rolled out by the end of july, i guess everyone would be good because this schools need International students money o lol, i think they generate billions annually from International students alone..sooooooo 'news is 3 major vaccines should begin testing next week, yeah u heard it "next week" 2 from the usa and 1 from china.. globally 70 vaccines are under development. Secondly the NOV ELECTIONS, i feel trump would relax travel and visa ban, if he wants to fall on the good side of some citizens o..lol |

RealTrump: Baba, stop stop joining Ashland n Harvard in the same paragraph.
1. How many of those "3 building schools" give assistantship?
2. How many career fair is held at those schools? Do recruiters even know where they are in a map?
3. These schools will have around 5k students but 70% of students are part-time. How can u enjoy the campus experience when the school is Virtually empty?
4. I can also bet their Profs are almost all adjuncts.
The last time I checked Ashland university MBA during an argument... only 2 of their Profs have a PhD as listed on their website. They also have two other staffs listed as "recruiters." Which means the school has the same number of marketers as they do Profs....rings any bells?
There is life after Msc or MBA. I read a review about a different MBA program, dude said he later couldn't even put his MBA degree on his CV as recruiters kept calling him out. Go to a big school with lots of students, and that is well funded, not necessarily a highly ranked school. avoid those "3 building schools" as much as u can except u just need d kpali. Everybody with hinn own gbosa... Ashland uni no even be 3 building sch...And when I mean 3 building schools, gigantic 3 buildings with with 4-5 levels, don't get me wrong o |

solihp: There's nothing wrong with that ranking. There are several schools that are not even ranked nationally (the ones ranked regionally) and people here have gotten their visa from there I used to say the school you want to apply to does not affect your visa and I will still say it again...I got my visa with Ashland University "a school in one small community in Ohio" that one random person was telling me ehn the school was ranked 800 bla bla...I was only concerned about the school being accredited or not..so far it was accredited and it was offering what I wanted to study, and I fit pay their school fee and they sent me admission letter,I fired down...So sometimes when I hear red flag schools, I always want to ask, how people know it's a red flag school..In Saint Paul here, there is Metropolitan State University, they have about 3 buildings or so from my own view o, but the have a lot of International students....Forget ranking, if the school is accredited is the Koko, if na ranking, why we no all apply go MIT or Harvard |

Go with the ingredient and the recipe instead or check youtube on how to make it . ALso cooked meat is a major problem as it is prohibited , some POE dont allow indomine due to the chicken spice how much more the actual cooked chicken or meat
