Jobs/Vacancies / Recruitment Process Of Banks In Nigeria by SyberKate(f): 12:33pm On Jan 26, 2019
How long is the recruitment process of banks in Nigeria.

So my sister had a phone interview with one of our banks here in Nigeria and after the talk they told her they would get back to her.

This was last month so its been about a month now and still no word from them on the outcome or a next step.

So how long do you think she should keep hoping to hear back from them before considering the fact that they may not call her back for a job ever.

we dont care about potential anymore, because potential is just empty promises until it yields results. I cant gamble my happiness on a future possibility. I will rather have something i can work with
My dear see your life.
And what is potential again?
When you say you want something to work with, then that thing has potential

Romance / Ladies Please Who Did This To Us by SyberKate(f): 6:59am On Jan 26, 2019
So about 2 years ago when I was still dating my now ex I got a call from a family friend in the US, towards the end of the call she asked me if I was married yet and I said no but was dating someone and she was like "oh that's nice, what does he do" and I replied saying he's an accountant. She went on and said "wow that's great, and is he working" to which I replied yes. And she congratulated me and says "I hope it works out for you two"

Fast forward to today, I was at a Meetup with some old friends and one of my friends, lets call her ladyA was trying to hook up another of our friends ladyB who was single.

So ladyA says to ladyB that she has this friend who is single and searching and she believes ladyB will like him. The first thing ladyB says is "him get money" and I was shocked. Him get money, seriously that's the only thing that concerns you. You don't care if he has a job or a career, or a Christian or Muslim. If from a good family background you didn't ask any of that. But it didn't end there, so I forgot to mention we are 4 in ladies in this Meetup. So the forth lady, I'll call her ladyC now cuts in and says "what car does he drive? because me too I'm interested"

And I started doing some maths, we are 4 in a group and 2 of them only cared about material things to mortivate them to date a guy, that's 50%. Is that 50 percent or even more of Nigeria ladies think this way.

Now compare this to what I said in the beginning, my family friend in the US only cared about my guy potential, what he does.

I think I have said enough for now so my question is Nigerian ladies why don't you care about the guys with potential anymore?
Why do you think so much about material things and not what are more important.

The floor is open, oya start dropping your comments or excuses

Romance / I Told A Guy I Liked Him... by SyberKate(f): 7:45am On Jan 14, 2019
So last week there's this colleague of mine that I have been admiring, he's cool and all, dresses well and always neat, so we were in a group with other co-workers and I sort of didn't know when the words came out of my mouth and I told him I like you

But unfortunately he didn't say anything, he just acted like he didn't hear it, now I can't stand him. Anytime I see him coming this way I will just walk another way to avoid him.

I feel like I should ask him if he heard what I said and tell him I was just joking or something.

I'd love to join the IT department of a bank, lots of experience to gain since they use more IT infrastructure than any other industry in Nigeria

It shouldn't be hard for someone in her position.
1. She has access to seed money to start any business
2. She has connect to link up to good investors or potential customers

Me that I'm here don't I have good ideas?
I do but I don't know anyone who would support me either with funds or connections to float my idea(s).

I wish here the best on her quest.

Rebuke:

The truth? The only truth I see here is d fact that the girl is a spoilt brat with no moral standard or self respect, gosh!

That some are doing it doesn't mean everybody is doing it.

The hypocrisy I see here are those supporting the girl. How could yhu be seeing something very wrong n still support it?

If yhu really don't see anything wrong with this, I am afraid and ashamed for yhu....

Can yhu allow yhur brother marry dis kinda lady?
If she was yhur sister will yhu b proud of her?

I wonder how her sons n daughters will feel seeing this on the Internet in future. That's if she eventually secure a man to marry her though. The Internet never forget.
You just made my point crystal clear

Nigerians don't like to hear the truth. Every thing she said is already being practiced in Nigeria by Nigerians but we love to hide under the guise of being conservative so much that when we hear how things really are, they still sound alien to us

First let me sympathize with her before people will think I'm a bad person grin grin grin

Second, this is why I don't form unnecessary fan to any celebrity. If I like you, I like you from afar cool cool cool

Third, Davido is not Drake, I know Drake once stopped his show to caution a male fan groping a female fan. But know they are different people and therefore different ways their brain will process information

Finally, next time don't allow yourself run into debt because of any, I mean any celebrity. Not even Drake. angry angry angry

Properties / Can I Build A House In Legos With... by SyberKate(f): 8:36pm On Dec 27, 2018
Okay so my friend just got a very good job and he wants to build or buy a house in Lagos.

He's looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom bungalow with a budget of 15M.
But he's also considering building and was wondering if this same 15M budget can build a 4 or 5 bedroom duplex.
Now the cost of the land is included in the 15M.
I think it's possible because I do see some properties of the same specs for that price in Lagos but felt the need to ask the experts here.

So my question is can 15M build a 4 or 5 bedroom bungalow but preferably duplex in Lekki or somewhere else in Lagos.

Thank you all
