Congrats to those that have received invitations. Over 4,000 candidates(can't remember the exact figure now) made it to the interview stage. Firstly NNPC recruitment in based on quota system. Almost equal number of applicants will be taken from all the states and FCT. This implies that you are competing against people from your state. And this will in turn go down to LGA by LGA.So if you have a family member or a cousin in the race it means u are virtually fighting for one slot. Under this system situations arises where a Candidate from State A with 50% score in the interview will be employed while a candidate from State B with 80% score might not be employed. So those of you from educationally developed states should brace up for the challenge.I am sure you know those states What to equip yourself with: When NNPC was established and under what decree NNPC's Core Businesses NNPC Subsidiaries and their operational functions The Refineries and their various Refining capacities Which of the NNPC subsidiaries u'll like to work with and why? Why do you want to work with the NNPC. Why do you want to work in the Oil industry Why do you want to leave your former place of work(if you are already working) Where do you hope to be in 10years time? Understand your discipline and how you can apply it in the oil industry Know the name of the current and immediate past GMD Expect that you’ll be asked atleast one basic question about your discipline Know where the head quarters of each of the Subsidiaries are located say Benin, Warri, Lagos etc. Research the operations of the Subsidiaries so you’ll know which one you can fit in.(I am currently working with the subsidiary I mentioned during my interview so take your time to research, though it does not totally follow) Look smart and composed. It’s usually a friendly interview and note that your line of discussion will mostly go in line with your responses so be sure of what to say. But please don’t be too confident else you’ll sound arrogant. I’m speaking from experience. The above where questions asked me and some of my colleagues who I am working with now. So expect most of the questions to come from them. Know that NNPC will not take everybody. Best of God. I hope to meet you as colleagues soon. |
Nigerians self I tire for una. The other day it was said that Ghana has the highest increase in GDP and people were raining praises on them. Now it has come to the fore that in the last 9yrs Nigeria withnessed the 4th fastest economic growth and you are saying trash. Look at some people saying oil does not creat Jobs. Do you know how many Nigerian companies, workers and Contractors that are benefiting from our large oil industry? Abegiii. |

honeric01:I did not say prio to 2005. Messi joined the Argentine Senior Team in 2005.In 2006 he featured in the Senior World Cup as the youngest Argentine ever to play at the Senior World Cup. |
Milky jude:What it takes? Just 4 simple steps: -Step 1:You being focused when you are in school -Step 2:You graduating with a very good grade -Step 3:You being able to pass aptitude tests -Step 4:You being able to prove your worth and outwit even the best brains at interviews And there you are with your Dream Oil Company Job. |
Jarus:How does this tally. You people like posting things based on hear-say. @poster what you should be asking is the interview format. I have gone through the SRD and I can assure that it was the most challenging interview I ever attended. If you finally get the offer it is not automatic employment 'cos u'll pass through the SITP for one year.If you meet the requirements then you'll get the full employment. So you see you still have rivers to cross. Best of God. |
Thers is nothing wrong in him playing for all three teams. Ahmed Musa is 18yrs old ordinarily he should just be in th U-20 team but because our older teams lack power upfront we need a right forward that can bring that sparkly and Ahmed Musa is the best for that position right now. After-all, players like Oliseh, Amokachi, Okocha, Amuneke, Kanu were already Super Eagles players before they won the Olympics in '96. Infact if Abacha had not pulled our flying Eagles out of Qatar '95 Kanu would have been in the same position Ahmed Musa is 'cos he was in the U20, U23 and Super Eagles then. Messi was already a full Senior team player when he played against Siasia's U-20 team in 2005, he still played for the U-20 team in 2007 with Sagio Aguero's set and still featured in the 2008 Olympics this implies that as at 2007 he was in the U20s,U23s and Senior Team! So please leave Ahmed Musa alone. He is our hottest kid in the block right now.At least he gets his match bonuses, he go soon build house for him papa for Kano. ![]() My question is y is Joel Obi not in the U20 or U23 team? Brown Ideye is 22, Elderson Echiejile is 22, Victor Moses is 22 but they are not being considered for the U-23 team.Y? |
The soccer rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana is brought once again to the fore as the nation's Dream Team V will file out against the Ghanaian Under 23 team at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin-City today. This match is the last round of qualifiers for a place in the football event of the All African games holding in Mozambique later this year. The Ghanaian Team which is made up chiefly of the players that won the U -20 world Cup in Egypt arrived Benin-City yesterday. We cannot but wish the Dream team V a resounding victory today as the return leg in Accra will surely not be an easy one. I encourage the fans of the Green and White jersey living in Benin and it's environs to storm the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium today to cheer our boys to Victory. |
madoba:I cannot disprove you my sister. But the topic says "most" not "all". From my experience also, in my place of work most female corpers or ITs come in with the mind set that they can find a man to marry from among the male staff buying courage from stories of one friend or cousin or the other that hit jackpot by marrying from the company where she served or what ever. I know there are some good descent girls out there that take there destinies into there hands but most ladies still believe the only way out is to marry a rich man. |
I currently use a 4Runner of the early 90s for my business and I can testify that the SUV is a king of both the town/city roads and the off-roads.Chief Nyrol, for how much can you arrange a 4Runner of 2000/2001 year models for me. |
I was listening to a radio conversation one morning and the topic I can't figure out again. What a lady who was a guest on that show said was that "most ladies rather than look for jobs these days look for financially buoyant men to hang on to for marriage". Many have seen marriage as a means of breaking out of the chains of poverty and joining the class of elites. She also mentioned it that parents go as far as encouraging their daughters to bring wealthy men as suitors so as to lift their family from poverty. In as much as I would not completely want to agree with this but I see some elements of truth in it. People what do you think of this? |
honeric01:If identifying with your country translates to eating poo to you then i weep for this generation. Ossai famous:Nobody is saying we have a super team yet.We all know we are in the process of rebuilding and that is y we need grade A friendlies like this to further boost the team.I can assure you that the outcome of the game will not be as bad as you think. There is still some quality in that team. |
Guys, I have been reading all your posts and have been laughind aloud all through. I understand what you guys are going through,I mean the suspence, 'cos i was in a similar situation years back.Particularly the guy who said he shines his eyes . Some of you are already chosing departments. ![]() Congtrats for having made it this far.I wish you guys all the best. After getting the job, come back and read your comments and U'll make fun of it all. I see a future CBN gonernor from among you. |
@ poster, you are a fresh Electrical/Electronics graduate that just finished with a 2:2 abi? Not to worry, the did is done already. I didn't graduate with a 2:2. All the same, I have some ex-class mates that graduated with 2:2 that are highly placed today. The truth is If you make a 2:1 and above you stand a better chance of picking up a high profile job, infact it has solved your Job search problem by more than half. Take for instance in my graduating class of 8yrs ago 7 of us(out of about 80) made 2:1, and today 5 out of the 7 are in major Oil companies both here and abroad and 2 are in Banks. There are also a couple of my ex-class mates that made 2:2 that are in Oil companies, Banks and Telecom but it took them a longer time various means to get there and there are still some that are still jobless to date! What I am pointing out is if you make 2:1 and above you stand a better chance however if you make a 2:2 that is not the end of the road. You just need to work extra harder,.And hey! with God all things are possible, you can graduate with a 2:2 today and get a job before some1 that made a 1:1. ![]() But if you graduated with a third class or pass? ![]() And for those of you that are still in School work hard and get a very good grade. |

The next thing now u'll see some not-do-well Nigerians carrying thier Nigeria-must-go bags to Ghana for "greener pastures". |
I hope this growth can be sustained? |
This is y we cannot practise true federalism in Nigeria. ![]() |
Ileke-IdI:There she goes again. ![]() The aim of establishing the NYSC scheme is already defeated. The program should be revewed. It is one of those seeds sown by the military regime that we have refused to do away with.It is begining to outlive its usefulness in our society today.Like eg what do you need all those paramilitary training for? |
It's everywhere in the country. For Benin-City, people please avoid the Oando Filling station at Agip Junction(facing Country Home road) along Sapele road and Total filling station along Sapele road, Ekae area. Those guys are thiefs. What they do is you'l tell them you want to buy fuel of say N3,000 they'l put one for N600 and stop and will say they thought you meant N600.They will then reset the machine to Zero and put N2,400 extra. But I tell you ,you would have been cheated. They have a way of programming their machine to pump in air when such happens. They've done this to me before and my wife has also experienced such. DPR PLAESE TAKE NOTE! If any fuel attendent sells a little amount for you claiming he thought you ordered for that little amount. He's about to cheat you. The only people I trust are the NNPC Mega stations |
Can we have a picture of the boot space please. And y is the owner selling?Am interested. |
A soveriegn national conference is becoming inevitable ![]() |
^^^ Thank you. ![]() |
Good news but I just hope those poor girls were not violated? ![]() |
honeric01:Show some sense of belonging man. Or are u not a Nigerian? |
honeric01:honeric01, quite unpatriotic for a person like you ![]() @ poster forget, that Ghanaian team is simply over-rated. |
Holy-Holy, Holy,Holy-Holy, Enugu Rangers another champions. Those were the days. A good result for them. This same Uche Nwofor guy that demolished 3SC in Ibadan. No wonder he was highest goal scorer at AYC. Destination Barcelona and Super Eagles for him. |
chidexy:Gabon made the list after beating Mali 1-0 in Bamako this evening. |
babazinnih:The price of an EOD cannot even fetch you a brand new Elantra not to talk of Sonata. You need say 1.6 to 2M to fetch you an EOD.If ur budget is less than 2M just go for a good Honda or Toyota tokunbo. But if you are well loaded there nothing like a brand new Mercedes, BMW, Honda or Toyota. ![]() |
List of qualifiers for the round of 8 in the qualifiers: Nigeria Algeria Morocco Egypt Senegal Cote D' Ivoire South Africa Mali/Gabon Only 3 will qualify for Olympics from this lot. |
