Todays address by pres. Jonathan focused squarely on national unity. It was a full blown attack on politics and dividers of the nation. I noticed he focused exclusively on national unity and condemned those who divide the nation. He also linked the extremism of boko haram and other rebel organisation in nigeria to the war in syria, he futher refferenced the college of agriculture killings and condemned it. Promising nigerians that he shares our pain and concern but assures us he and his government are doing all they can to fight extreamist.

He also thanked our armed forces for their sacrifices and hard work against boko haram. He ended on a patriotic note, urging nigerians to rally beind him and the nation as we face threats, he futhur rededicated himself to our service and promised that the transformation agender will continue to yeild results, he said nigeria's place in the world is "strong and secure"

The worst france could have done was to back cameroon up with weapons and tactical advice like they did in libya. It's so shamefull that most of this francophone african countries are just independent in name only. They can't sneeze without the permission from paris. Is it actually safe for a man to be in the delivery room with his wife. My uncle was in the delivery room with his wife for their first born some months ago. She asked him to hold her hand. When he did and she started pushing, she almost pulled his arm off his shoulder, he recalled it as the firmest grip he had ever withnessed. He could'nt get her to let go. She drew his arm and even used her hands to crush his fingers. Months after the birth, he is still undergoing therapy for his arm and he can't even hold his new born in his arms. The funny part is after the birth and his wife was told what she did to her husbands arm, she could'nt remember doing such, i've even heard of some wives who openely abuse and berate their husbands, blaming them for their labour pains, and for passing on their big heads to the child......is it advisable for men to be with their wives during birth?

this is why nigerians are suffering. They are blinded by raw stupidity. If ameachi was loyal to the guys in abuja, do you think they will attempt to probe him? Why have'nt they probed odili? Rather they appionted his wife to the supreme court. Why are they not probing seriake dickson of bayelsa who runs an over 200 billion budget but does'nt have a single flyover in his state capital. The republican are stupid to think obama will delay his healthcare law or repeal it. John boehner and do all this grandstanding for his tea party folks, or he can pass a clean bill in the house and save his gun poweder for the debth celling war which promises to be bloodier.

Well, i'm currently studying law which i love so much and want to be a gaint in, but i will also go into the financial sector...i already have roots there as my mum works with j.p morgan and the NYSE. Futhermore, i also want to go into politics. I'm tired of always talking about the bad things going on in the nigeria. I want to be part of the change or better still, instigate the change which my country desperately needs.

That is due to the shambolic state of nigeria. The disorganisation in the country has exastubated the whole issue...if not, which sane country will stand by and watch a bunch of illetriats build a house without proffesional and learned supervision? It cheats the proffesionals and that house might not be safe.

But i assure you that as things get better in nigeria, a division of labour takes root. You'll know the value of a degree. Overseas, not everybody goes to college. Some just finish high school and learn a craft, they by no means suffer. So you'll ask yourself why every parent wants their kids to go to college. That distinction i pray as we grow will take hold in nigeria.
