Has Buhari ever honoured invitation for debate? Even while he was running for office so how much more now that he isn't running?

Don't insult BABA JUSTWISE in nairaland. That's the number one rule you should know.
As for Emma, he's being too vocal. Somethings are not meant to be said openly because you don't know who is who. Just like you don't know who Justwise is when you are using those words on him.
Some of these embassies might have spies here in nairaland mentoring us but we won't know. And with those kind of advice, they might even deny a genuine person thinking that we all are fake.

After Endsars protests and twitter ban I noticed Nairaland became strict on things like this, so I have been suspecting that maybe government or its security agencies and even embassies may be putting eyes on Nairaland now.

But it'll be nice if Seun Osewa or his mods come out and give us small heads up let's know what's up,

the initial thing that attracted most of us, me especially to Nairaland many years ago was the fact that you could say anything, back in the day it was an open forum almost like what redd!+ is today to Americans but even better because people were more open, more trusting, more willing to help, people used to pay other random nairalanders transport fares, host small get togethers, it's sad to see how things have deteriorated and keeps deteriorating.

In travel sections people used to be very open they gave step by step info till they got to wherever they where going and they continued updating us even after they got there people like Tochi who went to Russia and I can't remember the names of others now, but today I cannot find most of their posts they've deleted them, deleted the pictures or blurred their faces, and nobody does updates like that anymore, Nairaland is becoming a news site nothing more, no more personal regular people stories like before now it's just celebs, politicians and bandits.

I hope they try and keep this thing alive, revive it to it's past glory, when I succeed I will try to find time, create thread and update others just because I enjoyed other people's updates especially Tochi's updates, its what even inspired me to keep pushing even when it seemed like all hope was lost and no cash. So I'll like to do it for others as well.

people like you are one of the reason Nigeria is not moving forward as a nation. someone is giving advice and information based on his understanding without asking for any form of payment but you are here tackling him. you can also give your own advice without been judge with the little time i joined Nairaland i have learnt a lot from DADDYEMMA'S POST. Please remain silent if you can't make positive contribution on this thread.
He is a Moderator.

I don't know if mods on N.L have their various threads or sections of expertise or specialty but I see Justwise mainly in travel section also he is the only Mod I see on this thread.

I'm not gonna lie it seems harsh sometimes, but he is doing his job and sometimes it seems he is throwing away the baby with the bath water, what I mean is he has actually kept out some legit scammers and agents but in the process normal people who just want to help have also been kept out as well, even people who helped unveil the scammers were also accused of being scammers.

There were some people who went a while ago one guy from P.H especially, I was expecting them to come back and tell us step by step what to do (in order of relevance so we don't waste time and money focusing on irrelevant things like some people spent time and money paying for return ticket which I was told is not relevant, I was hoping they could verify things like that for us who have not reached that stage) but they didn't come back mostly because of all the suspicion and accusations of being agents and all that.

Good morning , thank you for your reply , I wanted to ask again, is it a red flag if I go for bsc even dou I have done bsc in Nigeria , I got admission into a polish school for business management but it’s bsc not masters ,
I feel they may reject me since I have already done bsc in Nigeria ,

If you are under 30 years of age it shouldn't be a problem at all,
But even if you are above 30 if you give them cogent and compelling reason why you are changing career paths or why you need this new degree, they will surely accept you that shouldn't be too difficult for you, as long as the school has given you admission just prove to them that you will actually go there to study and you hope to come back to Nigeria and work with this new degree.
And please actually go there and study if not you will make things harder for those coming behind you.

StubbornWife:
good afternoon everyone.
I have a question, I have two study offers - 1 in Bydgoszcz (tuition 1620 euros inclusive of accommodation) and in warsaw (1750 euros without accommodation). I'm a healthcare professional and my intention is to work while I study. Considering language barrier, job opportunities, ease of arranging accommodation from Naija, living costs, etc, which option is better? I know this isn't the student page but felt since work is the motivation, and some people here already live in poland, I might get richer advice here. please offer advice. thanks.

cc daddyemma justwise szczescie

I am not in Poland yet oh I'm just starting the process

So take whatever I say with a pinch of salt, it depends on what you want both places have their advantages, from what I know English is more widely spoken in Warsaw than Bydgoszcz but cost of living is a little higher in Warsaw but Warsaw has more jobs especially for IT and healthcare professionals and even customer care and other fields which you can work without certificate or experience, A polish person told me in Warsaw especially foreigners who speak English have advantage because many multi national companies or big brands prefer people who speak English, some have it as a requirement for employment, also someone (a Nigerian) said Bydgoszcz has sizeable number of Nigerians to me this is both a good and bad thing knowing the notoriety that comes with large gathering of Nigerians.

Ultimately life is a gamble just play, I believe that in the end whatever you chose you'll be fine, Nigeria has prepared you for the very worst nothing Poland can throw at you, that you cannot endure or handle.

Also, pertaining unskilled job offers most of them are in Warsaw but there are still a few from Bydgoszcz, so my advice is if you have cash go to Warsaw, if you don't go to the Bydgoszcz. But don't be scared there are always adverts for unskilled labour in Poznan, Warsaw and even Bydgoszcz almost every day I see adverts for such unskilled jobs a few of them even prefer students for the jobs than full time workers. So fear not.

But your school fees is it yearly? because most of those jobs pay between 700 euros to 1200euros monthly after tax (some pay more but they are few), if that's the case it means your school fees is likely going to be more than your monthly salary so you will know how to arrange yourself financially if you hope to pay subsequent fees from your work while in Poland rather than sponsors in naija.

@lkman33,do you mean that you received your work permit without other supporting documents from your agent or employer in Poland? because the agent handling my own work permit process said that every documents will be sent to me altogether(work permit+other supporting documents).everything before ending of this month of August

I know that when it comes out some usually notify you usually by mail or whatsapp by sending you pictures of the work permit, I have rarely seen them sent pictures of supporting documents but usually people who have gotten there's say it's complete, based on that I'm sure everything will be shipped complete except maybe you ordered for just the Work permit alone I saw that arrangement somewhere of work permit alone without supporting documents

But if you asked for all I'm sure you'll get all no fear, if in doubt he can still ask them for the supporting documents and hear from them.

No major update apart from the fact that Polish embassy cancelled phone booking method when information of people being swindled started trending. Some pay as high as 150 thousand naira to some imaginary agent.

They simply revert back to online booking to be on a safe side. They cannot afford to have a dent on their image especially being a growing country economy wise. The other information deleted might be about those marketing about agent or unnecessary arguments.

Thanks for the reply

Las las we go dey alright, the online booking is far better than that phone call

My only issue is that Nairalanders who have succeeded in this journey have refused to look back and show us a glimpse of what life is like there

I've seen or heard from philipinos and other nationalities but you know that jollof cooked with firewood has extra flavour to it, the same way gist from a fellow Nigerian or Nairalander would have extra something to it.

There is a difference when a fellow Nigerian tells you what's up, example standard of living is cheap Vs when an American says standard of living is cheap or when a British person says life here is easy Vs when a Nairalander says life here is easy

But on the bright side maybe it will bring unnecessary attention and even more competition and applications than we already have now so maybe it's also a good thing some how

Nigeria hates young things, little things, start ups

Nigeria only wants you when you are already fully made

Nigeria doesn't want to grow you or grow with you

Nigeria doesn't water the shoots of young budding plants instead Nigeria waters the roots of dried up dead old trees

It's a parable, nigeria will rather pretend to celebrate fela than put policies or studios in place to train the next fela

Nigeria wants twitter to come open office in Nigeria but Nigeria kills ALL Nigerian start ups that can grow to even rival twitter
