- Arewa Consultative Forum says South West launching Amotekun will break up Nigeria

- Middle Belt ready to launch their own Amotekun too...

Guys, there's something about this Operation Amotekun that is scaring these people that they are not telling us. What are they afraid of? ‍♂️ ‍♂️

Divided we fall but united we stand. Please there is no need for any one of us here in the south to be arrogant. We all need one another.
[b]It was the lack of unity among the souther Region that brought about the defeat of BIAFRA
If the whole of the south had supported or were sympathetic to the BIAFRA people, for them to find their part, I do not think the Northern region only could have defeated them. Even with South East fighting the war alone, it took the Nigeria Govt three years to end the war by using the starvation technic in wining that war. i am from the Niger Delta. We need one another.
' @ First bolded.... we don't need anybody's help to fight the fulanis. we did it before in 1840 at oshogbo on our own and we shall do it again when we are good and ready.

@ second bolded........ you are partly right to an extent. Awo told all and sundry that the impending war was between the east and the north but that was until Ojukwu in his infinite wisdom decided to bring his war to our shores. wtf do you expect us to do.? Stand akimbo whilst ibos and fulani soldiers decimate our land in their war of supremacy, ba.

Beside what happened 50 years ago was as a result of the first Military Coup that was carried out by your wicked people . So go n read history bf coming here to make senseless posts.
Thank you, o jare!!! Agba oni ton ni 'le yin o!

I get exasperated when ever these duplicitous folks keep chanting "what ojukwu saw 50 years ago", twaddle like as if we were not alive to our responsibilities when we warned them before, not to form one fake nigeria with those marauders from futa jallon but their slimy father zik insisted on going ahead with absurd notion, saying we should all forget about our glaring differences. Even the sardunna was averse to the idea (of one nigeria) but zik and his greedy covetous yaminris begged him to relent and bent backward to give him the leadership of the country on a platter......thinking in due course, the "smart ibos" will snatch the rug from underneath him.

The cantankerous and shady Ojukwu saw nada when his homeboy Ironsi, snatched the mantle of leadership of the country in Jan '66 o thru the back door! Infact, the same Ojukwu was hyperventilating like an inebriated newt, boasting about exporting his people to all nooks and crannies of the country to fill up all the civil service posts that will become available courtesy of decree 34 promulgated by Ironsi against sound advice from the rest of the country, then. The barbaric response from the northerners against this decree which saw many ibos slaughtered in the north was not enough to make the ydiot (Ojukwu) see the light o. it was only after his brother Ironsi had been brutally removed from his undeserved post that he Ojukwu started seeing biafra with the minorities oil in his gaze.

Like i wrote earlier, "na who presidency epp"? Didn't we move presidency from the north during the time of obj? Was that not the time that mor.on from Zamfara decided to start this sharia nonsense? How many southerners did they slaughtered in the course of implementing their sharia? Despite Obj being the president then, were yorubas excluded from the victims recorded in the senseless killings? So having Osinbanjo as president, come 2023 does not guarantee that these animals in human clothing will not continue killing us in our homeland, with great impunity.

Hell no!!! Our main priority here and now is the safe-guarding of the lives and properties of our people in this fake one united nigeria by fulanis , ostensibly from mali, niger and wherever else they are supposed to come from.

Also, while we keep talking about Jan 15 coup, we should also keep talking about July 29 coup that was a clean and clear anti north coup. We can't be talking about Jan 15, yet conveniently ignoring July 29(which happened after the anti North killings that was going on in the northern part of the country)
Ol' boy, don't befuddle yourself. The july coup was obviously anti-ibo after the latter had murdered most of the northern leaders in the jan coup.

The killings in the north was nothing new, afterall they killed ibos in 1945 and 1953 yet it was the same ibos who were desirous about the notion of one united nigeria.

The killings of ibos in may 1966 was the response of the northerners to Ironsi's unification decree which they were obviously opposed to as they believed these will afford the ibos the opportunity to dominate them in their own region and dilute their culture and religion.

Read Maj Gen David Ejoor's "reminiscences"
Former Military Gov of Mid West

Gowon himself, and another officer, i've forgotten, came to meet him to orchestrate a coup against the government(after the sham of '64 elections).
Even the civilians were hoping that the military would take over, and this was why "there was wide spread jubilation nationwide" after the coup.

Gowon and his band could have carried out the coup, they didnt, situation got worse and the junior officers did
You got your wires crossed, matey. That officer was actually Ojukwu but neither Gowon nor Ejoor had concrete proof.

After the sham '64 election, banjo was actually plooding Ironsi to take over govt whilst Zik too was mouthing similar suggestion till the heads of the armed forces put him in his place by reminding him that they were answerable to the PM and not a figure-head president of the country.

Banjo was not a member of the Jan 15th coup but somehow found himself in prison in the eastern region two days after, on the allegation of another ibo soldier who claimed that banjo was trying to topple the new military govt of Ironsi. Apparently, banjo was supposed to have in to see Ironsi with his service pistol to hand. you guys always believe you are smarter than everyone else in the country whereas all you possess is juvenile mischief.

Sorry no, point of correction. After Nzeogwu's coup, Ironsi was Head of State, and despite Brig Babatunde Ogundipe, a Yoruba, being CSSHQ, Awo wasn't released until Gowon came into power. it was Gowon who released Awo, not Ironsi. and if memory serves me right sef, the coup plotters were all in jail then. So, how did they being in jail, make Gowon release Awo from jail?
Awo wrote to Ironsi pleading his case but Ironsi refused to release from jail citing the dumb excuse that such act may not be couter-productive to his administration bearing in mind that a military HOS was not in our nascent constitution then.

Considering the coup was a federal crime and most of the coupists were easterners, somehow they were all jailed in the eastern province.

Now it is the same loudmouthed touts who are making mockery of the Biafran Air Force they literally created overnight. Yari.ba! Yari.ba!! Yari.ba!!!
Haba! uncle dede, why are you such prolific liar ? Are you saying that Ojukwu did not have the Biafran Air force at the commencement of the war or that they did not carry bombing raids in lagos and other parts of nigeria? Pity, am unable to load the images of the Biafran invaders who dropped bombs in ebute-meta, killing innocent yoruba civilians and the flare generated can be seen as far as Onipanu bus-stop.

August 1967 proved to be a busy month for Biafra’s Invaders. Bombing raids were made, sometimes alone, sometimes in company with the Dove and the DC-3 on Lagos docks and industrial areas, a bombing raid on Kaduna airfield killed a German civilian of the Dornier Company whilst attacks on the airfield at Kano damaged recently arrived Nigerian Air Force MiG-17’s . On the 12th of the month both Invaders bombed and strafed the Lokoja ferry on the River Niger and, four days later attacked columns of federal forces crossing the Ofusu River.

Biafran airgunner, Tony Alaribe, states that the aircraft became unserviceable in late August as a result, it is thought, of wheel brake trouble, so the emphasis was transferred to Invader No. 2 which had been undergoing modification to carry rockets. The original Invader did not fly again and was captured by the Nigerians at Enugu when the town fell on the 4th October 1967.

Biafra's second Invader was an RB-26P, formerly 44-34312 and carrying French registration F-BMJR. Its sale to the Biafrans was, in company with many of their arms purchases, engineered by French arms dealer, Pierre Laureys.
The above shot shows Jacques Lestrade at Enugu on June 29th 1967 after the aircrafts arrival
The strange nose on the above aircraft was as a result of radar trials whilst serving with the French Air Force.
The front gun was operated blindly by an african crewmember, with a length of rope tied to his foot. When Zumbach wanted him to open fire, he yanked on the rope.
The nose gun was a Czech built tripod mounted infantry weapon. A second weapon was mounted in the tear of the bomb bay pointing down.
On one occation the plane attacked an enemy frigate while home-made bombs were thrown from the bomb bay
