investnow2013:
I hope you understand my view and this happens to be the view of many Ndi Anambra that prevention is better than cure!. A big gully don't happen over night but it can happen only if the govt & its officials are not responsive to their job of planning and safe guiding our environment there by wasting billions of our scarce resources!. It cost less to plan and safeguard the environment by creating artificial lakes and planting trees arround the state more especially in erosion prune areas than lack of it!.... INVEST NOW FOR A BETTER AND MORE PROSPEROUS FUTURE! Udo dili Ndi Anambra.
All the visible erosion sites you're seeing today started many years again if not decade, Ansg has done some degrees of work in some threatening erosion sites just that most of the projects failed after some years or months while few survived . Controlling of erosion its not an easy project and it can collapse even if the project is handle by julius berger and the likes. Just this afternoon as i was watching channels tv programme on environmental matters(it may even appear on news this night) A community called ukeh in edo state are losing their ancestral homes and farmlands to gully erosion, i was moved to tears when i saw one old women seriously weeping because erosion has already surrounded her compound both front and back making it hard for her to access her house. Edo state government was aware of the disaster but said they will nothing about it because its raining season . But in Anambra state, the governor in conjunction with world bank are currently tackling erosion that stretches from omagba to ogidi not minding the implications.

Though more preventive measures needs to be taken in environmental management in Anambra ,i will still commend Ansg because they are trying.
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by TabletMan: 3:57am On Aug 15, 2018
∆∆∆ investnow , you don't have to blame Ansg for neglecting any erosion currently because they have alot of erosion tackling projects going on around the state and each of the projects consumes money more than constructing a standard road. Tackling of erosion this raining season is very hard because with just few drop of rain, the contractor will lose millions spent on the work that day. Yet Ansg bravely award contract for many disastrous erosions site across the state to be tackled. No state has solve environmental problem like anambra because in some states erosion is seen as cliff or under ground mountain forming.

It's not surprising of this counterfeit christian denomination. Most Catholics don't see visiting native doctors as sin, much less masquerades. In most of their events/ceremonies, masquerades are paid to perform.

Light and darkness have nothing in common. Only counterfeit light exists in catholism
ignorance is bliss.
What is bad celebrating someone's cultural heritage? The white wedding you always attend, was it written in the bible?

It's not a crime to be ignorant but it is pure foolishness to display it publicly.

Did I call it a bible ? Don't you know how to read again? don't show me how stupid and senseless you're. The prayers in them and the hymns in them are from different chapters in the bible.
I still insist that you know nothing about Roman catholic church.
The pope Leo x you're using for your stupid and senseless attack was a pope when the church was still divided and being a pope that time is more of roman politics than church appointment because of the crusaders war across the globe.
After the crusaders war, Roman Catholic Church got rid of all the ties it had with Roman or world politics, so Mr unintelligent and uninformed atheist, the Catholic Church we have today is a reformed Church .

GEJ destroyed our military by introducing nepotism instead of merit. Just to assuage the 5%, he gave the position of CAS to them, and as typical of the jews, the CAS settled down to loot and fill sensitive positions with fellow money-hungry jews. After the jews looted to their satisfaction, a riverian kinsman was given the position to loot on behalf of the water people. All these while boko haram captured large swathes of territory under the nose of the clueless commander-in-thief. Our military bore the brunt of it all and suffered a dip in standards and it would take some years for their gallantry and professionalism to be restored.
Buhari that hates nepotism appointed only Fulanis to head all the security apparatus in this country.

CATHOLICS HARDLY READ THE BIBLE.... HARDLY.

FROM AS EARLY AS 2 WE WERE INTRODUCED TO BULLETINS.
THESE ARE PRINTED MATERIALS THAT CONTAIN A FEW BIBLE VERSES.. YOU BUY THEM EVERY SUNDAY MORNING AT THE BULLETIN STAND AT THE CHURCH PREMISES.
EVERY PARISH HAD THEIRS WITH THEIR NAMES AND LOGOS IN FRONT.

THEN CAME THE WEEKLY BULLETINS, WHICH CONTAINS VERSES FROM THE BIBLE THAT WILL BE READ IN THE NEXT 7 DAYS.

FOLLOWED BY THE MONTHLY BULLETINS.
(IT'S NOT COMPULSORY TO BUY THESE BUT.. CHURCHES MAKE MAD SALES AND LOTS OF MONEY FROM SELLING THE PIECES OF PAPER).
BECAUSE OF THIS, PEOPLE WENT TO CHURCH WITH ONLY THEIR PHONES AND HANDKERCHIEVES AND HARDLY OWNED BIBLES (BIG, BULKY STUFF, STRESSFUL TO CARRY AROUND).

YEAR IN, YEAR OUT.. THESE SAME PARTICULAR VERSES ARE BEING READ EVERY SUNDAY. NOTHING NEW..

SO EVERYTHING ABOUT CATHOLISM THAT IS NEEDED BY THESE GUYS IS HEARD FROM THE PRIEST'S MOUTH.

CENTURIES AGO CHRISTIANS WEREN'T EVEN ALLOWED TO SEE THE BIBLE.. LET ALONE READ IT. THEY HAD TO LISTEN TO THE WORD OF GOD FROM THE REVERENDS WHO WOULD TWIST AND MODIFY IT'S CONTENTS HOW THEY PREFERRED.

SO YOU'RE CORRECT ABOUT A LOT OF "PEOPLE" NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THE BIBLE.

THE NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT PEOPLE, BE BRAVE ABOUT IT. DON'T DO UNDERGROUND STUNTS LIKE THIS...

YOUR COMMENT CONTAINS NO TRUTH.
Ignorance is another name for this post.
You are one of the Ex-Catholic forming atheist that knows nothing about catholic. Bulletin does not contain few verses but it contains required chapter and verse from the daily readings. The catholic church have three calendar year and each year have its own chapters for daily masses so tell me why catholic won't cover its 176books withing three years? You are obviously one of the back sitters and late comers who come close to church only on Sunday claiming to know everything in the catholic faith. FYI Catholic church also have belivary(book like bible) where we draw all the chapters about hymns and praises from the bible and it is mandatory to sing one particular hymns each day, the book serves as guide to know the hymns for each day.

You're expecting much from something that will give you less value of you expectations/imaginations. That nsanaso guy is honest and updated enough with awhum waterfall. That waterfall is not a tourist site for everybody, it's a religious tourist waterfall being monitored by the catholic monks. You will meet different religious groups on the trip to the waterfall and the part to it is hardly lonely. Before you get to the waterfall you will sight an altar(blessed virgin Mary) inside a cave, When you finally get to the waterfall you will see different people making noise inform of prayers and this alone will take out all the fun you came to have.
But don't bother going there because it is currently not accessible. The monks has barred people going to that place because people have desecrated their shrine and water .

Guy, I still say you have not seen many inter-ethnic groups for you to be able to draw an accurate conclusion. sad I grew up in Lagos and met couples from different parts of Nigeria, who had an inter-ethnic marriage. And for many of such couples, their relationships worked.

In many divorce cases, hardly would you ever find 'tribal differences' cited as grounds for divorce. undecided You would hear of lack of money, sex, infidelity or violence. And such causes are not specific to a tribe, but are based on an individual's shortcoming.

Only unions where parental consent was not properly sought on either side, before such marriages were contracted, suffer from such dysfunctional status, that their children would end up NOT knowing their paternal or maternal relatives. sad The same thing also happens when parents come from the same ethnic group, but parental consent was withheld or grudgingly given before the wedding took place.

Growing up, I used to shuttle across different parts of Nigeria to spend holidays with paternal and maternal relatives, in various parts of the country. It was a lot of fun! grin Till today, I don't pay hotel bills in many places, because I always have a relative somewhere, who offers me a place to stay. cheesy
Maybe the reason why I don't know much of inter tribal marriage is because I don't grow up in Lagos but my short stay at Abj and my long stay in my state of resident, 70% of inter tribal marriage I knew don't go well with my life philosophy.
My guy, you're just lucky to be a good product from inter tribal marriage.

Lol... you are even fighting and throwing jabs with my tribesmen and preaching inter tribal marriage with your second finger.

Oga, what you have said is very, very untrue! shocked Did you conduct a survey or census, on the causes of marital break up, or inter-ethnic marriages? huh What stats are you talking about? Post them here. I know both my paternal and maternal family members, and they come from opposite ends of the country! shocked The values imparted to children in order to make them good citizens or individuals, are the same across board. Values such as honesty, integrity, respect for others, hard work, accountability, responsibility etc! Is there any tribe that frowns at such things? I don't know who has poisoned your mind o, but it is highly unlikely that you know a lot of inter-ethnic couples. Are you saying people from the same tribe do not marry and get divorced? shocked
The only reason why you're defending it, is because you're a product of one or let me say good product of one. people from the same divorce but it's always on the high side in inter tribal marriages.
You're just lucky to know your relatives both paternal and maternal. Believe me, majority of people involved in inter tribal marriages are just patching up a lot of burdens and most who can't stand the heat, go their separate ways in the end .

And I asked you how many inter-ethnic marriages do you know, for you to have reached a conclusion that such marriages lack focus. shocked What kind of focus, do they lack? I can understand 4 Nigerian languages, and I am even trying to learn more. If you cannot speak English, who told you that a prospective wife from another ethnic group, cannot learn your language? My grandmother learnt my grandfather's language, even though they came from opposite ends of Nigeria. Even if you can't speak English, can't you speak pidgin? Abeg, poor language skills are an excuse. If there is a will, there is always a way! cheesy
Focus when bringing up their kids, the children will always grow up not knowing either paternal or maternal family members and for some others divorce will be their end result. Check stats and you will be surprise that divorce is common with inter tribal marriage.

Not true. sad How many inter-ethnic marriages have you surveyed? Five? Ten? Twenty? Or a hundred? huh I am a product of an inter-ethnic union, and so were my parents, and they are the most focused and understanding people I know. One common feature of inter-ethnic marriages is that both partners learn how to adapt to situations, families and events. In marriage what matters most is not just love, but respect, tolerance, sincerity, support, trust, loyalty and understanding. These are the things that foster compatibility, and not tribe. A person may come from your tribe, and yet may never understand you, but another person from a different tribe may be willing to die for you, in addition to understanding all the deep things that reside within your heart. undecided Communication is the key!
I am not fluent with English language, so how do i communicate with my wife especially when I am angry? I clearly see the reason you like/supporting inter tribal marriage .
Majority of inter tribal marriage I know lacks focus.

unfortunately I won't settle for love in marriage rather I will go for understanding and compatibility. you know how complex inter tribal marriage is , and I am not the emotional or lovey type. 75% of inter tribal marriage lacks focus and understanding.

Lol, Do people even think before talking? How do they make profit if they are selling less than what they buy? Is this how you plan to discourage people who want to get into the BDC business?
The guy is 101% right, 70% of Bdc operators are billionaire while the rest are millionaire. The majority are still hanging on to the business because they have customers who get to buy their dollars without inquiries and moreover they source their dollars from anywhere ie (you want to sell the dollar your bro sent you from USA) they are just hanging onto the biz because of their expensive license which if you don't operate for a certain period will be penalize or revoked.

Happy anniversary...

But on a serious note, a two years anniversary is not worth celebrating. Years ago people use to celebrate their wedding anniversary when it's up to a decade or they will celebrate silver jubilee when it's up to 25 years. But due to growing rate of marriage scandal and divorced cases , people now see 1,2 and 3 years as a big deal and in the upcoming generation people will start celebrating 1 week wedding anniversary.

Thank God for the presence of Mustafi and absence of Mertesacker.

During the time of Gej, 13 billion dollars grow wings and fly and now we are have a GMD awarding a contract that is bigger than the country's yearly budget. Nigeria wants to borrow $30 billion from China while one junkie is out there awarding contract that doesn't reflect on a common Nigerian to the tune of $26 billion.

Abagworo:
In rural churches the indigenous language does matter a lot. My personal view is that the origin of the Priest doesn't matter but since this is a rural area he needs to be able to communicate with the natives. There is also this complaint of not allowing Mbaise born Priests head Awka area which can be eased off by just appointing an Mbaise to preside over Awka to promote unity.
Evil man, when you don't understand something just keep shut. That okpalaeke is from Anambra does not mean that he sleeps or work in anambra as priest. He was ordained a priest at Mbaise diocese and you can only get to the top of your career in the priesthood from the diocese your from not from the native place or place of birth. From junior Seminarian to Senior Seminarian to deacon to Rev Fr and from Rev Fr to Monsignor, all these was under Mbaise diocese and not anywhere close to Anambra. just being a catholic priest will take you minimum of 16+ years and only God knows how long it took him to become a Monsignor all in Mbaise diocese and you're here yapping about native language.
