How is Adeleke a Dr without a WAEC?

Please, can u also give the external diameters? This is to make us know if it will fit into our sizes of land that might be lesser than the expected size.
Your designs are lovely so far. That bungalow is sweet. But, I been dey think say 7m go fit build 4 bedroom, make God help us o.

For those saying it's not up to 50k, I have already counted up to 26k for the 1k notes already(the ones I can see). I think that cash could be up to 70k.

There are two ways you can do compaction of your filling.
1)Natural compaction( when the said potion is filled up with sand then you wait for rain and sun to act on it in other to compact naturally on it own.....this take longer period of time,but with zero cost.

2)Mechanical compaction; this is by using compacting machine to do the compaction. less time but it will cost you about 15-20k although the cost depends on the size of the foundation.

more so if you can't find meachine in your area go for locally made iron and use it to do the job. ...also this depends on the size of the foundation and nature of the job.

*once you have done your compaction next day start your dpc.


I will post the floor plan once the client show me green light to do so.

Thanks for the education. Why I asked is because, a friend of mine did compaction but still decided to pour two trips of Granite/chippings on it. Guess what? The compacted areas sank in. That's why I asked if it is okay to give a retention time before doing the dpc. Maybe his compaction wasn't done well. Thanks.

Oga Rotecch, please, how many days did u leave the filling before adding DPC. Or, how long did u wait after compacting before DPC? I love your job so far. Someone also asked for floor plan, u go fit wet our appetite with that one?

No na, that's not a good thing to say. He has decided to share with us. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I'm here to learn 'cheaper safer' ways to get a building done.

Let me sit and learn cheap ways to do my own when the time comes.

you dont need columns, but i'll advice you have a beam to tie them all together..... ie the Polysterene and your structure... you wld still require beams even if you had columns,,, so columns aint a deciding factor.

Columns in building serve a lot of purpose and it helps you to transfer majority of the building load ( roofing materials, beams e.t.c) directly to the ground without putting much pressure on the block walls. Most buildings without columns tends to have cracked walls easily than the ones which there's columns at strategic points

Thank u sir. I intend raising a 3 bedroom flat bungalow on a dry ground. Most people do not use any columns with the reason that, it is a small building and they are not using parapet. And, I'm considering going that same route that's why I asked if it can be used on a bungalow without columns.
That being said, is it also okay to just use columns only on the four corners of the building to help carry the load? Reason I'm asking this is because, my two bedroom flat I'm building in my home town that I have left for now has up to 6 columns. Plus the design pillars making 8. I don't want to have a repeat of that experience again.
