Keep believing.....insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result! The same way your grand father kept believing and hoping....LMAO. Yet the misery and degenerative society keeps getting passed on from one generation down to the other!!!!! Look at the rest of the world! Look at countries that were literally razed down after world war 2 (Germany) and look at where they are now and compare it to your country. Even look at asian countries that got their independence around the time Nigeria did. I really need to do a case study on Nigerians....Perhaps its that hot sun that has fried your brains into docility!!!!.....Keep believing ok?
you are among those people he was talking about, must we always attack each other even not only politics, he said the right thing, we re blessed with bad leaders, Fine but we the citizens also are part of the problem because our enmity is grade one, we can’t agree on one thing. Those who went to Russia didn’t go through financial aid from the government rather they felt they have the financial autonomy to watch the matches in Russia hence they left the country, now they are now crying foul over there and the government wants to repatriate them, some people are still cursing, blaming the government. We re not ready for change at all because even if Nigeria becomes heaven on earth tommroow some people will still complain. Nigerians keep tarnishing our image outside the country, to even show your passport at the port of entry will be a torn in the flesh, drugs, illegal migration, fraud, that’s what we re known for and we keep blaming the government on everything, is Nigeria government ruling Nigerians outside the country also?. We need to change our attitude, money without hardwork is what we want. May God help us

Wow see profit margin! I doubt they were fake FAN IDs because Russians were very strict with its authentication protocol. However, it is very easy to get a legitimate one, all you need to do is buy a World Cup ticket! So these guys made bank. All the agents had to do was buy the cheapest ticket ($140-$160) once they did, they were entitled to a FAN ID and subsequently they pocketed the difference ($540!)

I bought my match ticket online, applied for a FAN ID online with the ticket number, uploaded my passport photograph that was it! and I got my FAN ID in the mail. No interviews, no need to show bank account, nothing.

Also, they caught some Morrocans trying to sneak into neighboring EU Finland.

Urgh! These people ruin things for people, I was so happy that I did not need to go through all the visa application wahala or pay visa fees. I am sure the next host city would have a list of counties where their fans would need to apply for a visa! To be honest Nigerian citizens do more harm to our passport than the leaders
you said my mind.. we all always blame our leaders for everything but we also need to check ourselves, we re well known outside the country for bad things; stealings, scams e.t.c to the extent of scrutinizing Nigeria’s passport at the port of entry of any foreign country..it is well with us

Someone insulted me up there before the post was taken down, the problem with we Nigerians is that, whenever we hear or see someone making it overseas, we tend to be jealous or be alarmed and want to do everything in our capacity to be like those people without even knowing what they are into over there. The grass is not always greener on the other side, we don’t want to listen to the truth, we prefer people telling us lies just to satisfy our eagerness, so many people have made wrong decisions in Travelling out of the country without proper plan, I said earlier that Kazakhstan is not a good country like that, he was saying I’m being stupid, what will make citizens of a country emigrating to another country in mass to do jobs with meager salary, is it not because they can’t afford good standard of living in their country ? But we won’t listen, we prefer people telling us lies, even Libya after hearing the slave trade and all of that our people are still going there on a daily basis...we suffer most from inferiority complex thinking all the white people or country are better than us, the one that insulted me earlier will still argue with his ancestors if I say we re better than the Filipinos because inferiority complex has overclouded his sense of reasoning, Nigerians are still learner compared to Filipinos in migration. May God help us

No country is perfect, don’t be deceived. America still battling with a lot of racism especially at this trump time. She will rush back to Nigeria in a few months. There are many poor people in America and the system is not designed for you to succeed if you are not white. Many people get stuck in the cycle of just living an average life and trying to survive. A lot of families cannot boast of 1,000 dollar in savings in America, think about that for a second and how many families are one health bill away from homelessness. Nigeria still gives the chance to create wealth. We just need to get our acts together. Nigeria is far better than countries in the west in so many respects. Though we lack infrastructure.
thats what we Nigerians don’t want to understand , because those countries don’t paint their countries black doesn’t mean they are all living well, the media is ruining African countries especially bbc and CNN... I pray we understand soon and act together to make our country great.
Celebrities / Re: Moni Osibodu: 'If You Are Not Mad, You Can’t Live In Nigeria' by Taofeekdboy(m): 1:11pm On Jul 05, 2018
She might be right but she is wrong for putting on social media when the world will be seeing it. Nigeria is not doing well fine but we shouldn’t be painting our image bad to the public because it will causing more havoc to the country and her citizens; new investors that have no idea about Nigeria before that see our economy is growing might be afraid to invest because of this bad image we re giving the country, even some European countries are not doing well either but you won’t see their citizens painting it black until you go there and experience the situation, e.g Kazakhstan, the country is so poor that their citizens are running to other countries but they don’t put this on social media, we should solve the problem within ourselves before going for the government. Tribalism and nepotism is killing us gradually , everyday on nairaland is about afonja, Igbos and boko haram banters and you expect the country to move forward when we re not united , only football unite us together. Let’s unite together and you will the way the government will cooperate because we’ll be speaking in one voice .Nigeria must be great again

franchasng:
I am sorry to say whatever I am about to say now but let us all reflect on whatever I am about to say.

The major problem Nigeria has today comes from the core northerners, how

These guys act wreckless like they own Nigeria and nobody can challenge them or their actions.

Northerners in the form of various military heads of states destroyed Nigeria by creating useless cow laws and constitution with wicked, devilish agenda.

These guys killed Nigeria with the wrong foundation. They laid down the wrong laws we have today that's ruining Nigeria.

They created leadership corruption and massive public fund looting that's now like a normal affair in Nigerian leadership from government to corporate organizations all over Nigeria today.

Okay we have made mistake as a nation in our past, let us forget out past and chart a new course for Nigeria by changing our government style, policies, constitutional amendment where necessary to give Nigeria a greater chance of prospering as a nation, northerners will still stand against it at the Senate and ready to kill to keep the failed situation and status quo.

Let us restructure so Nigeria can move forward, northerners will say no we must never progress, which kind people be this Na wa o cry

You need to see how these northern tanker and trailer drivers drive on the road and park anyhow without obeying traffic laws and u dare not challenge them.

They have no value for human life nor property.

They created Boko Haram!
They created religious discrimination and intolerance in Nigeria today using Sharia laws!
They created Fulani Herdsmen militant terrorists

They have never created any good thing that's transforming Nigeria to a modern world class nation.

They hardly migrate to Europe, America or Asia to learn how nations are moving forward and not clinging to barbaric religious practices.

They only loot, steal and save to go to Mecca and Arab nations to squander our joint looted fund.

Northern Nigeria is the major reason Nigeria is not moving forward like other nations. Remove northern Nigeria from Nigeria and Nigeria will grow in few decades to come, sadly angry
you said it all..they believe they own the country.tribalism originated from their end, if the president is not from their side then the country won’t be at peace. It is high time we started running the country unbiased

It is high time we started seeing more of ourselves than our skin and not to give these white people hope that they still have the superiority complex, I blame the stupid striker for yesterday woes, two clear chances and he couldn’t utilized it..Africa will be great one day and Black is beautiful...

Multi national companies in UAE don't discriminate against Nigerians. If you have the expertise they need, they will come for you. Junior Engineers in my company earn more than $6000 monthly. There is nothing fishy or bogus about the 23K AED salary. It just that most Nigerians here are yet to break into the mainstream professional cadre. When I got my offer I rejected it thinking that it was fake. For five months, the company was calling me from UAE to join before I finally agreed.
there is no where I said they discriminate Nigerians, what I said was that some companies prefer hiring expats from Europes and America and moreso wihin the country with a lot of experience, I work with a multi national company also and when I went for their interview they said they don’t discriminate at all and it is true but believe me bro; Nigerians and Europeans or American expats working in the same line of work doesn’t receive the same salary and that’s what’s happening everywhere not only UAE. I’m not discriminating, just saying things with what have experience in this country

I get you boss and thanks for the concern. First, like I said, I applied directly from the company official website (I don't patronize so-called agents). Secondly, it's absurd to pay for a job and I will be foolish to do so. Third, it's a billion dollar plus company, they have official email addresses, people working there (top management and co). It's not one small company where you can't do due diligence. My last interview was a culture fit call with one of the founders of the company.

Example, except Google was hacked, applying for a job on careers.google.com is completely legit. Same goes for shell or other top companies with official company websites. Regardless, I did my due diligence still.

I think I will stop replying messages about this authenticity thing.

Yes, it's a professional job. People in this industry earn more, nah me no carry myself up well. Hopefully, the salary increases fast.
bro, nobody is trying to condemn your fact or what your job entails, salary and all sort, rather concerned about you because so many fraudulent activities has been going on here in uae to the extent that some companies set everything up and it looks real that you won’t even notice they are about to scam. The reason why we think it is fishy is because, here in uae, they value expats from European countries, America than our continent and to even say from Nigeria, they will prefer someone that is available within the country and have many years of experience here. You might be lucky to got this job but we re just stating our reasons why we think it might be fishy. Once again, I wish you success on your new job.

Bro, the attitude of citizens towards government owned establishment is not good. We don't treat government owned business like we will treat our own. Hence there will be mismanagement. This cuts across all sectors not just aviation. There's no present leader who wasn't part of the citizen before he or she got elected into political position. If a leader spends time in office and doesn't embezzle money, it's still his people that will mock him for being foolish. No one expects you to hold political position and remain the same.
And that’s the reason i said if we have a good system that is working and they strictly enforce it, then at the end citizens won’t have any other choice than to abide. Nepotism is the common practice in our government owned business, so why will it grow when they keep giving job to people who do not deserve it. They should create a working system, enforce it and then see what happens. Rwanda, despite their political crisis 20 years ago, she is now taking the picture of how a working-system country should be. The Dubai we re even talking about was changed by a man which his name can never be forgotten in the history of UAE. I pray we find a man like that in our dear country.

Bro, as a Nigerian(which you claim) you are in Dubai, doing menial work and developing their country while leaving in bed space under terrible conditions. Bro, is that life? What have you done on your part to contribute towards Nigeria's development or you think it's to complain online that will solve our problem? If I drink water and throw the bottle out of the window of my car, am I not adding to the waste problem in my community? If I see refuge on the road, pick it and dispose it properly, am I not helping to solve the problem? One of our problems which you failed to remember is that we contribute little or nothing towards making our country great, yet we are part of the problem.
Get your facts straight, I ain’t doing menial job here and moreover if I’m doing menial job here it is much more better doing nothing back at home because the country is driving with no positivity on sight, you are here talking bad about people outside the shores of Nigeria where as they re trying to be a betterment of their self not to constitute nuisance to the country that is failing us. On the part of you saying we the citizens should contribute towards the growth of the country; if there is a working system in Nigeria I bet it, it might take time but everyone will blend the system at the later end. A good example is Dubai where they put every rules and regulations in place such as bypass walking route, where you must wait for the light to turn to green before you cross the road, same for the traffic light and do you want to tell me they don’t have Africans or Nigerians driving or walking on these roads, it is because they have a working system and everyone of us is abiding by that. Lastly, I was in your shoes last year but when I left the country that’s when I realized we still have a long way to go. God Bless Nigeria.

NOTE: when you are talking about we citizens are also spoiling the country, please can you please answer this question; our Nigerian airways that have gone down the rail, are we the citizens the cause of that also?

Bro, this is not true. I can sacrifice my left balls to say some places have constant light. This is why I said some people are comfortable. Do you know that some guys order custom made cars, some order direct from the manufacturers abroad, will such a person not provide constant electricity for himself or you think he will wait for government? Another thing is that those guys working in oil sector are making money. My friend working with NNPC has travelled twice to America this year, sponsored by the govt. I will never advice him to relocate because the guy is very comfort here. You speak of security, guy you don here say thief enter Banana Island before? Reason things na. You hear say robbers they enter Maitama or Aso villa? Try reason things na, even if e happen i no sure say such thief go survive am. I'm not saying it cant happen, but crime rate is low in rich areas. The rich ones try to provide all these things for themselves. No be Davido buy private Jet? Banky, Tiwa are all US citizens bro, yet them de make am here, dem no fit relocate to Yankee. As a hustler with nothing to lose, all man should try luck but if you are making it here, there's no point.
Cant believe someone is defending his country blindly, I’m proud of my country anywhere but let’s face the reality; nothing is working in this country, youare talking about banana island having constant light, in which the fraction of banana island to Nigeria community as whole is negligible. I’m residing in United Arab Emirates and I can say they have gone far ahead of us in so many areas, I wonder the country that was nothing 30 years ago is now the center of attractions for most tourist. Everything is working here; security; you are free to stroll around at any hours of the day and nobody will be targeting your purse or bag or the fear of being shot, infrastructures; good roads and modern schools, big government hospitals e.t.c, TRANSPORTATION; I find it so hard to believe that during the year 1984, Nigerian airways had like 15 or more airplanes while Emirates airline had just two but you can see what the situation is right now. My base point is Nigeria keep getting worse everyday with our leaders doing nothing other than embezzling our money and resources. I just pray Nigeria should be great again

Not only is Dubai beautiful, but it is well thought out. A big shout-out to the ruler of Dubai HRH (His Royal Highness) Sheikh Al Maktoum and the crown prince of Dubai HRH Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum for their insight and leadership. It is clear that their own executive meetings yield results (I don’t know what they do in the Federal Executive Meeting here in Nigeria but God will help us sha). I can’t really explain the beauty of Dubai other than to describe it as ‘Real Estate Money’ at its best. Dubai is Real Estate money but Abu Dhabi is Oil money. The president of UAE is also the crown price and ruler of Abu Dhabi while the vice president of UAE is the ruler of Dubai. From my research so far, they are exceptional leaders – of course, no one is perfect, but they are really doing great things for their nation. Let me digress a bit further and talk to you about Emaar Properties; yes, there are many construction companies in Dubai, but Emaar Properties is the ‘Olori’ or first of them all. Top construction companies in Dubai include Emaar, Damac, Nakheel, Meydan etc. and they are all making their money but clearly one’s balance sheet will be bigger than the other.

It is not uncommon to see many towers in Dubai with the Emaar logo on them; they are heavily involved in properties, malls, entertainment and hospitality. Their valuation as of 2017 was $14.6 billion and they aren’t slowing down. Emaar properties was instrumental in building Burj Khalifa and the Chairman is (as at when I watched the documentary) the 5th most powerful person in Dubai. How did the Burj Khalifa come about? HRH Sheikh Al Maktoum (the ruler of Dubai) called the CEO and said he wanted the tallest building in the world in Dubai. He gave him examples of all the tallest buildings as at then and HRH said ‘add them up and build one taller than them all’ and that was how the Burj Khalifa became a money making center for Dubai because there is an observation deck on the 124th, 125th and 148th floors (I haven’t been there yet but will get there eventually) where tourists can go and ‘observe’ (of course for a price) and there is also the a club on the 144th floor – highest level club in the world. There is an assess point from Burj Khalifa to the Dubai Mall. Dubai is really a product of vision and good leadership. What they don’t know, they source for it worldwide and bring such man power to their country, make them comfortable and the end result is magic!! The downside of living in Dubai is the smoking habit; because in every building, smoking is prohibited, so smokers just chill on the streets and smoke their lives away and the air becomes polluted.

My journey to and fro via the metro was an educational moment for me; I was able to connect with all the places I had read about but soon the train was back to Al Rigga meaning I was back ‘home’. I got down and went to Al Ghurair (but this time I didn’t enter the mall) where I proceeded to go to Burger King for lunch. I got a whopper burger for 23 AED – fries, burger and a drink before going to Juice world to try something new and believe me, there was something new. It was 3 different types of ice-cream filled with assorted fruits and almond (na wa o, these people here are living the life) all for a whooping 30 AED (hey, you only live once abi?’ I quickly made my way back to my hotel so I could devour the meal ‘Tobi Bakre style’. But immediately I ate, my head started pounding; I guess my body was dehydrated from the fast so I took a nap thinking I would be relieved but upon waking at 8.45pm I wasn’t relieved so I knew it was time for me to dress and go buy Panadol.
Stepping out of the hotel, I saw one white guy (he may not be European but he is sha white), our eyes met and I continued my journey. 5 minutes into my journey, I looked at my side and saw the dude! He asks me for my number and says he followed me from the hotel to where he intercepted me (na wa o). I didn’t have a UAE sim which I told him, and he asked if I was staying at the hotel to which I answered affirmative (imagine, we were both staying at the same hotel) and he asked nicely for me to call his intercom. I was just laughing. My people, night waka is wonderful ooooo. See people dining, smoking, shopping and chilling at past 10pm. Shops were showing no signs of closing even Banks were still open! People were changing money at that hour – that’s security and stability @ its peak! There was no fear or uncertainty over there. I was not left out as I did some light shopping too. There are stores along the road from Pierre Cardin outlet store to Philippine store to Mimiso and some restaurants – clearly Dubai doesn’t sleep. I must have some more evening/night trips. I returned to my room and had a peaceful night rest, tomorrow was Mall of Emirates adventure.

1st Pic is the ruler of Dubai
2nd Pic is the crown prince of Dubai (he's handsome ba? but he is a no nonsense person ooo)
3rd Pic is Emaar taking over
P.S. if you know anyone in Emaar properties, i am interested in a job there oooo grin grin
have you been to Abu Dhabi to see Ferrari world most especially their formula rossa because it is the fastest formula Rossa in the world and also YAS Waterworld, they are both nice places to visit

Am a tiler here in Naija, I went to dubai 2016 which I spent like 11 months working in restaurant so I tried to move forward when I get a contact of an agent and told me that he will help me with Canada employment visa that I should come home to submit my passport for processing which I did, since 8 October 2017 up to this moment visa haven't come out, he always told me to be patient that he doesn't know what's happening and d last time I talk to him, he told me to find another link which he introduced me the Cyprus thing. My people am fed up here and that make me to accept the option cuz he told me it's direct employment to company and I will be paying 800 euro Nd I saw it as beta offer, just not to make same mistake I made I purposely want yo ask people I the house to help me to get the correct details on that Cyprus.
Cus tru my searching I got the information that they are paying people with Turkish currency which is very low to Cypriot money. I was very confused to step in again cuz d agent didn't want to return my money. Pls people where do u think I can go to hustle as a guy of 33yrs old but not construction work because I tested it In dubai is like Stone. God bless u my people. I need best country to go for mania jobs
bro, my question is why did you leave Dubai when you have worked for 11 months, you can use that to switch to better offer in Dubai cos based on what I heard Cyprus is not a good country for hustling

Bro I'm still gonna say same thing we don't speak good English.

You hold a Nigerian passport with a degree in English from Nigeria University and I hold ordinary southern African passport. Then we both seek for english teaching Jobs in Asia I can bet with my life that the chances of me getting a job is higher than yours. Even the Asian don't consider us as a english nation but they considered some southern Africa countries.

Google is your friend
now I get your drift, you re definitely right about the passport issues when seeking teaching job in foreign countries, the reason is based mainly on accent, they think our accent is not as good as British and Americans English and they also take South Africans because some fractions of South Africans are white and their accent is different from ours. Google it also some countries don’t even ask for toefl or ielts from Nigerians for masters or educational programs because they know we speak English also. Don’t based your facts on that bro because I have seen some Nigerians teaching in those schools and even in the country I am right now, they are pretty much teaching there and they don’t have problem with their English.

i said 97% I didn't say all Nigerians maybe or maybe not you speaks well I wouldn't know.

If your interview was a white person obviously he wouldn't say it to your face that your spoken english is poor but rather praise you cos it never in their culture to belittle or make you feel low. But secretly they will gossip about it.

I don't know you and I'm not disputing you don't speak well as presently I will stand on my ground that majority of Nigerians don't speak good English and I rate it high.
bro what are you even saying, it is pretty obvious that your spoken English is so bad to be talking like this , you don’t have confidence in yourself that’s why you thought every Nigerian is like you. May God help you
