Well! Judging as a developer, you did a good job but as designer your job is overall bad.

I gave up using the app immediately I was on the homepage. The user experience is zero. I clicked on players and almost believed you're good with Arabic style of writing if not why is Marquee text scrolling from left to right instead of the other way round.

Like I said your job as a developer is fine. Keep it up.

I do frontend too so if you need my service just holla
Thank you very much brother, I agree with you about the UI, even I know also that it isn't good as well, I'm just getting into designing deeper as my main focus is developing a functional website. I will PM you. Thanks once again.

Hello guys.... Been working on so many projects for some time and just want to drop some here for feedback and critics(usually needed to improve your work). So I will be dropping the links to the apps and if needed, I will drop the source code as well.

I develop using python, Javascript libraries such as React, jquery and many more, I use django for my backend application.

The first app I will like to drop is a sport app I developed, in which you can search for players and teams of your choice to get their details. Not every player is added on it yet as I just made it simple because of other projects I'm working on.
Link: www.sporty.netlify.com
Please take a look at it and drop your feedback.
Thanks.

From their requirements, they say the job you get has to be related to your qualification and work experience. Even if you want to be a masseuse, you need to show proof that you have the certification for that.

togobingi, thanks for updating the thread, have been following up with this thread for a very long time but I'm still skeptical about my move tho... Please I want you to enlighten me, I am a graduate of Agricultural science in which I major in Economics but I'm currently in entertainment DEPT. Can I get a job seeker visa and look for Agricultural related job over there as I don't have experience in my field for now only the intern period. Please I need your advice on this.

What Mrbrownjay1 said is true to an extent, I wondmt deny the fact that they do humiliate or delay Nigerians at POE of some countries but it has never occurred to me before. Holders of Nigeria passport are not allowed to apply for some visa categories but at times if you are a resident of some countries, it might be allowed but in the case of OP, he didn't check if Nigeria passport is allowed to apply or if you are only a resident of the country.

This is what I'm most especially weary of. The agent never told me about sharing a room with three others until I asked him. There could be other unfavorable conditions he is yet to disclose to me.

I'm having premonition that this country is more propitious for me to succeed in life than going over to Dubai. Unless I find a more paying job there with far better perks.
If you have UAE experience or rather a skill/professional. Doctors, nurses, engineers and graphic designers have better chances here than other skills. I will implore you if you have something good doing over in Nigeria, don't come here to start all over again.. Many have come, some are lucky, some are unlucky, Alhamdulilah for mine. About the acomodation, my company gave me a good acomodation, three in a room with good facilities, it depends on your company.

The thing is the accommodation given isn't suitable in a way for me. 4 people are to stay in a room. The pay also isn't encouraging; N200k per month for two years.
200k job is not encouraging in dubai? If you know how much some people earn here, you will understand that everything is not glitter as they used to show it on social media. 200k without paying for acomodation and transportation, list both private and government organizations that pay that unless getting it through corruption and bribe means. Also don't trust your agent much cos most of them do tell lies and when you get there, the salary might not be what he said.

Just little contribution, UAE is not heaven on eartj when it comes to job but it is better compared to Nigeria, most of what New comers are seeing in terms of job scarcity or discrimination is because of our fellow brothers soiling our image here.. We re known to be greedy and selfish, thinking about ourselves not thinking about good legacy or impression you will leave for others coming. Right now, in Abu Dhabi they have banned Nigerians from security job, and mostly discriminate Nigerians from good jobs now unless you have good experience and verifiable company you have worked with. Agents don't have good jobs cos most good jobs require you being present for interview.
In conclusion, jobs are very hard to get in UAE for Africans especially Nigerians but with luck and determination, you can land a good job, before coming do your homework very and decide for yourself if it worth it cos nobody know yourself more than you do.

Though, there is no denying fact that there is discrimination against Africans but we all need to know that UAE generally is for Filipinos and Indians, so they take most of their people at work and employ from their neighboring countries.. Africans working in a good place prefer taking money from his fellow people to fix them at work and this limits our domination here. So don't blame UAE for that rather our people that does everything because of money.

The OP might be right with some of his points but at the same time he did a poor work by tagging individual names, cursing each and everyone living in the country. As I have traveled out of the country, I am not happy with the situation of things in my dear country but at the same time, I can’t curse my country of origin simply because of what I saw outside the country, most of this European and American countries were built by their citizens’ taxes, they paid a lot for it before it look like that but here in Naija, there are few who pay taxes and many multi billionaires prefer making money off the country without paying their taxes, how do you expect growth and development in such occasion. Our politicians and leaders are corrupt, we know, but average Nigerian is more corrupt because he hasn’t attained that position yet, dimeji bankole is a perfect example..Nigeria was great before is an excuse, during that time, Nig. Population was 60 million plus, now it’s more than 200 million with the same infrastructures and basic amenities being in place then. I am not against who wants to travel out of the country before some people who won’t read meaning to post starts ranting and abusing me, you are free to leave the country but don’t curse your country, paint her black because of what you see outside the country, we have black people making great things within the country and outside the country, at times there might not be opportunity to showcase your talent in your fatherland, if you find that kind of opportunity outside doesn’t mean you should be cursing your country...there are some of this Europeans migrating to other European countries because of job opportunities and better livelihood but you won’t see them coming online to shattered their country’s images and citizens....Nigeria might not be great now but with our collective effort, she will soon be great.

Guy, don’t just because you went to Italy and saw beatiful roads and good infrastructures, that will mean everything is good with them including job opportunities, if you know how some Nigerians fair abroad, then you will know it is not easy at all. Even Italians are migrating to neighboring countries because of job opportunities and you are here in your own world talking about good roads and good infrastructure, maybe that’s what op will be feeding on when he gets there.
PS: you think if there is a sure job of 500k monthly salary been assured for some Nigerians abroad, you will see a lot coming back including me

The Nigerians there should all come back to Nigeria then since Nigeria is better than Italy. Any Nigerian abroad who is advising a fellow Nigerian or African to remain in Africa is more wicked than the devil. Op even the politicians in Nigeria all have foreign passports. They give birth to their kids abroad and yet they tell the commoners to believe in Nigeria. Believe in what. You are bright and young leave ASAP. I finished school and no job in this shithole called Nigeria. To run a business or raise funding in this hellhole is as hard as rocks yet I kept on working and believing in the continent. We have suffered so much that we see abnormal as normal. Op flee if you can flee.
He should flee without proper planning when he is earning half a million in Nigeria, I’m not against him Travelling because at some point in life, you will need to experience the outside community. At first, going for masters degree in USA or Canada will not guarantee you automatic job after graduation because you will join bunch of jobless immigrants seeking job opportunities also because I have like 2 friends that ended up in Nigeria after their masters degree. Secondly , if you plan on doing any kind of work(hustling) over there, then I can implore you to move but a bird at hand is worth a million in the bush. The kind of salary that even Nigerians in abroad are even dreaming of is what you are debating on...

@OP, please follow your mind. I have been to most part of these countries and the standard of living is good but if you have good thing you are doing in Nigeria I don’t see any reason for you to relocate.

To anyone that care to listen:
Nigeria is not a shithole. If you call Nigeria a shithole so shall it be for you and the rest of your family still living in the country. Stop the negativity. Our leaders are bad!!! we all know that but your negativity would not heal the country either.
thank you very much, that’s what I’m saying; if you have anything good doing in Nigeria, just stay back and don’t think of relocating because things might not work the way you want over there... I’m not trying to mock the dead but there was a thread here about someone that traveled to Khasastan and couldn’t make it over there, committed suicide. All the people telling you to not think twice will reject you when things go south. I’m not against any one traveling for greener pasture but if you are doing better thing at home, don’t just take the assumptions from your friend and hop in to the plane.

Bro. I didn't Generalize my opinion just as you did. I have given different Options. Going to Canada with PR route means you are not just educated but a professional. So there are opportunities for you because that's what they need them for in Canada. I don't want to bring up examples of people that I know and so close to me who traveled to Canada through this route but believe me 500k monthly is not the best pay in this Nigeria economy.
Did you just say 500k monthly is not good or the best pay. Different strokes for different people, when some people are wishing to earn half of that. The main point is how we plan our life with the amount we re earning. Some people are earning less and have the basic needs of life because they planned their life accordingly, I am not against traveling out for greener pastures or betterment of thyself but if you are doing perfectly fine in your country, why leaving for the uncertainty. Like I said everyone is opinionated, who am I to tell OP to stay back.

Now I can counter this... The world is not meant for business alone. I hope you know what career satisfaction is. Its not everyone of us that will establish a business for himself. Some of us just want to live comfortably and practice our profession. The Nigeria mentality is fighting you. An average Nigerian believes that Money is the root of happiness in Life so can you see this orientation has not erased from you.

To the OP. Weigh your Option. If you want to live comfortably and secure a future for your Kid to live their life, Migrate to Canada. But if you want to secure a future for your kid to live on your Opulence, you can remain here and invest in a business... But a 7million naira life in Nigeria cannot be compared to 50,000CAD life in Canada...
Not everyone is doctors, Engineers or professionals. You are talking about uncertainty in Canada and known fact in Nigeria. Someone is earning 500k plus in Nigeria, wants to migrate to Canada with uncertainty, there many factors at hand; what worked for A might not work for B, the Op might have to start from the beginning again. At times, the grass is not always greener at the other side. We look at bright side of things not bother to check the bad side. Well to the OP, he has the larger part to play out.

Bro. The topic is not about Nigerians abroad coming back to Nigeria or contributing to Nigeria. You have not answered the OP's concern. You are only bringing up epistles that does not relate to the topic... Are you saying the OP should stay back or travel out of this country? I have not had any experience of being an immigrant but I want to learn from you and others and that does not make me inferior(Mentality) or less patriotic... That the OP wants to travel out of the country does not make him less patriotic...
With all what I said, you can make it out that I’m advising OP to stay back in the country and try to establish his own business, it might not work out at first but with determination and faith, things will fall in place. Most Nigerians have good ideas and innovative but don’t have the means to carry out things but as soon as the opportunity set in, we tend to forget all that. Nothing is small, OP should start from somewhere, we can all make it anywhere plus the amount of money he is earning can sustain another business on a long run.

That part is the very beast part of you. "Problems with Nigerians" you don't want to be criticised for anything because you are a chauvinist, you believe your opinion is always true because you are not in Nigeria hereby thinking you are better than the Nigerians in Nigeria...

I will repeat my statement "Don't come here to teach us the spirit of patriotism because you are not". The OP needs your opinion if traveling to Canada is better than the 7miliion he earns here in Nigeria. Instead of you to give us concrete explanation on how Nigeria is best for his future and that of his Family, you resort to verbiage, telling us how Nigeria Mentality is hunting us down.

PS: Your opinion does not always hold true and everyone cannot live their lives the way you are living yours...

Modified: I believe India is doing better than Nigeria but Indians are inundating the US everyday. They are also Migrating to Canada, Germany and others countries. What are you going to say about this, they have India mentality also?
I The problem with Nigerians, criticical sense of judgement. Not all of us have the privilege of having capital to establish our ideas but when you are determined to make it happen, you source for capital and add value to yourself, then you can help your society.ere is no better future for my kids other than working hard, showing them how to give back to the society. Talking about Indians and co, mostly Indians are economic migrants, they migrate to another country, establish their business, improve the economy of host countries but same can’t be said about Nigerians. Indians, Lebanese and Chinese are trooping in to Nigeria to establish their various businesses here, I know that Nigeria situation is not that good but few of those people that is making it outside the country are not helping the situation also, coming back home to lavish money on frivolities, showing off, not to give back to the community. We hate to hear the truth even people outside the country doing drugs, scams and all sort are not left out, they can help their communities, at least their people will know they doing bad thing in a right way i.e Pablo Escobar until he became a terrorist.

My question is, Why did you leave Nigeria... With your sense of jingoism, you shouldn't have left Nigeria at all. Nobody ever said they wouldn't come back to Nigeria but how can we make it in Nigeria. The OP is one his 10,000 mates that earn 7million naira in a year... So please don't come here and teach us the spirit of patriotism when you are not.
The problem with Nigerians, criticical sense of judgement. Not all of us have the privilege of having capital to establish our ideas but when you are determined to make it happen, you source for capital and add value to yourself, then you can help your society. Most of us were born with no silver spoon and can’t make enough capital to start our various businesses but at the same time most prefer to be lazying around, be ranting, yelling at the government without making things happen. I left the country because I want to make things happen, gather enough money to start my business, not everyone is cool working for bosses, I want to be my own boss.

Nothing being worse than being a Nigerian with Naija mentality, Nigerians talk ill about their country whereas there are other countries worse than Nigeria but because their citizens cherish their country and wants to do anything to make the society a sane one and improve their standard of living make a difference. I’m outside the country also but my mind is made up after few years of working here, I’m going back to Nigeria to give back to the society, establish a business, it might not survive at first but with determination I hope it will be a success, that’s how it supposed to be but our Naija mentality is about desperation of making it big within short period of time and leaving the country for good. Hadn’t been the citizens of those countries we re moving to were also migrating and not coming back to add value to their communities, there won’t be anywhere to visit. Let’s change our mentality, you can always make a difference. With faith and determination, you can move mountains.
