So I was minding my business checking around activities on LinkedIn, I came across one heavily engaged thread, this touched my heart and felt for the lady after resigning from her former place of work. Please read and share your view. If you have similar story, please feel free to share. I'm posting this here with her permission, hence this is not my content.

Further check also reveals that the said organization had floated another job vacancy for same role.

I can never understand how, an employer will state that accommodation will be provided for you, and this is what the accommodation looks like below.

I want to rant because i'm super upset and i feel like employers need to do better.

So a month ago, i got a job, to work as a private chef for the CEO of Infinion Technologies, i got the job off here on LinkedIn , I sent my portfolio and I was called up for an interview in Victoria island lagos.

So I was told accommodation will be available for me and that was why I even accepted the job in the first place.

I started the job June 3rd, last month, only for me to see the shitty accommodation they provided for me, wasn’t cleaned or fumigated prior to my resumption and I had to make arrangements for the cleaning myself and assemble the bunk bed that was provided. I complained to my employer(twice)about the state of the room and how I wanted it painted and the floor fixed, at least to make it more conducive to live in, asides from the fact that I had to share bathroom and toilet, with 6 other staff in the same bq accommodation,that I was never informed about.

At the end of the 1month prob, they decided to terminate my contract, because they felt that if I wasn’t okay with the working conditions, then it was best. So sickening because, all I asked was that the room be put into good shape and that I couldn’t be walking under the hot sun to take his lunch( my ex employer) , to the office, everyday because it wasn’t stated in my contract.

Today makes it exactly 5days days since, and I haven’t been paid. They say that I’ll get my money this week. But I’ll be dammed if I don’t share my story. It’s just crazy how this employers think in Nigeria! JustCrazy!

Am not a religion bigot but at times it's annoying. I once lived in a neighborhood like that one woman will come from God knows where by 4.30 she is already close to our house with this public address system. Wouldn't be able to sleep until later on in the day. Am always not happy about it but I can't do anything to help just had to live with it before finally leaving the area

My format house was facing an major and busy Tjunction. Busy for passers by but not too vehicles. Nah there this guy's they always mount the speakers including the chosen guys. It got to a point that they started a battle of first come first stay. Untop wetin nah.

Hello airsay, I see you've received numerous mentions and regardless of your time constraints, you did well to honour them. Thanks a lot. People like you do not come a dime a dozen. I know this because of my personal experience.
Late last year, I completed my path as a data analyst through an online course I took where I learnt a lot. I put up my LinkedIn profile and started applying for jobs. Most jobs in the Nigerian space however are too keen with the experience aspect requesting level entry candidates with four years of experience with meagre compensation. I have applied for numerous jobs both home and abroad, and even though I have a rich portfolio, I haven't had any luck being called for an interview save for one. The one however, didn't go through. While they acknowledged I did well for both rounds of interview, they sent a mail explaining that they made some "internal changes". Ever since, I have been in an endless stream of learning and applying to openings. I learnt data science and still learning many more things everyday yet, no interviews.
Yet, I see people who have entered the learning path after I did, get numerous interviews and even land jobs. In a bid to change my situation, I have reached out to these people to let me in on how they are able to do so—Maybe there's something wrong with my CV,or I'm not positioning myself well. But I never get any responses from these people (I guess people will rather connect up the ladder than below) hence, why I said people like you're not common.
So I humbly ask, what avenue do you get these job openings and how are you able to seal the deal? I am at my limit and quite frankly, depressed. I am happy to share my resume with you if I could get some inputs that will better set me up for what I desire. It is exhausting putting so much efforts without anything to show for it. I apologize for this lengthy post. Thank you.

Fast foods supplies contain alots of maggi and onions, it makes their stool watery to pack. Honestly this country is so messed up that the pets are already feeling it hard.
