An atheists view of the supernatural, whether its real or not to me depends largely on how exactly the person in question became an atheist.

If you as an atheist thought god(s) dont exist because of lack of evidence, i.e an atheist who believes in proper investigation of religions or supernatural phenomena to substanciate belief, then, such an atheist would lack belief in the supernatural.

Because basically, theres as much CONCRETE evidence there is for deities as there is for "the supernatural", none.

If you have a solid argument for the supernatural, present it to such an atheist rather than ranting meaninglessly about atheism.

The russian and chinese especially have very sophisticated weaponry that can rival the US. But due to limited budget, they cant build as many as the US can.

I think the only control hell achieved was the control over the profits and power the medieval Catholic church exercised over Europe. I don't believe we need a doctrine of eternal torment to exercise moral restraint.

The Greeks didn't have that doctrine but they were a model of ancient civilisation.
Look at untouched natives in the northern part of the country, even in the Brazilian Amazon, without any hellish belief, they still manage to live with peace and love, its now the European idiots with their so called hellish civilisation that actually brought hell to American natives.

If gorillas, prides of lions and packs of hyenas can maintain peace among themselves without any defined belief then I think we humans can do it without hell.

I agree with most of your points but, a belief in hell has always been a part of most mythological and religious traditions throughout history.

Albeit in most cultures hell might not necessary be a place of
eternal torment as Abrahanism teaches.

Hell made sense when it was needed the most. Atleast to some extent, humans can now maintain a level of control without being scared of eternal punishment.

Imagine religion without hell or heaven. There would be no reward to those who believe in a particular god and live a certain way, no punishment to those who dont believe regardless or whether they satify the moral standard of the said religion.

Basically, whether hell is logical or not to them, it is the ultimate tool that drives belief, it is a means of control that at the time it was invented, was necessary to ensure conformity to rules and laws, of which the utmost reward, a paradise.

The idea of a god was a geniune plight for early man to understand the world, but religion abused this god idea in all the various forms it has taken, ascibing complete human attributes and highly illogical concepts to a supposed supreme intelligence.

It was very easy for me to become agnostic by comparing this complex universe to most god ideas conceived.

If there's ever been clear cut proof for a supernatural regrowth of an amputated limb, no christain would have trouble providing it.

Evidence for such a thing would speak for itself.

We hear accounts of pretty much every kind of ailment been healed everyday, but the case of amputees seems to be very perculia.

Does god hate amputees that much?

Religion thrived and has continued to thrive due to limitations of the human intellect.

This perceived gap in understanding of man's world introduced us to various concepts of a supernatural force or control, which started from animism and evolved slowly to polytheism and monotheism.

This gap fueled belief.

And as similar to various cultures, abrahanism promises a blistfull afterlife to adrehents who believe or eternal torment for unbelievers/ or sinners.

The fear posed by these religions. had more of a political undertone to ensure conformity to rules and laws while hope , as a tyicall human desire( evident in most cultures) to live in a world much better than the present one when we die.

Abrahanism convienietly forces this BELIEF as the only means to to a heaven or a hell, which as you've righly pointed out is nothing short of a cheap blackmail to assure continuity and dismay unbelief

To the average religious person around, "belief" in God is not even in question, servitude or followership of the right God is what usually matters to them.

They've been programmed to see the world in only two ways, either a person serves God, or the devil.

Hence, atheism is such an absurd concept that to them can be only associated with the devil.

It is because of their manichean nature of thinking that they redefine, group and classify atheism as some form of cult, religion or way of life that is opposed to or anti- god.

Strictly by definition, to an atheist, there are no deities in existence.

And the universe exists in an immaterial space. I can't say how an immaterial being made life, but that doesn't make the inference to God less valid. i admire science so much and i acknowledge their profound accomplishment. But am i wrong when i claim they do not have answer to everything. There are invisible things our five senses cannot detect but can feel its impact. Am talking about partial paralysis where one is unable to move his/her body. I can tell you science' explanation regarding the causes is warped.

It is wrong to look at science as being omniscient. Science definetely doesnt have answers to everything but atleat its the best means we've got to understand and predict the universe.

That we dont fully understand doesnt mean we should guess or give up.

Totally false, they have not stopped evolving. Your misconception is that apes are primitive ancestors, or primitive apes. They aren't. They are the most advanced apes ever to have evolved.

Similarly, humans alive today are the most advanced humans to have ever evolved.

Evolution is an ongoing process of trial and error, of which all modern primates are still a part.

Actually, evolution must result into several variant of the same species related but not able to interbreed. Webmust necessarily have several variants from thebsame parent stock.
