When I was in school, I don't bother myself cooking during weekends. On weekends I'll get my Native dress starched and ironed with my friends and we'll go to any party around the street, sit down like and invited guest and have our share of the food. Yoruba Owambes remain the best. 12 Likes 2 Shares |
Sports / Re: Cameroon Vs Nigeria: Is Rohr The Right Man For Super Eagles AFCON 2022 Campaign? by Taye4j: 2:42pm On Jun 10, 2021 |
Rohr is the most useless coach I've seen. For five years now, he's been doing various permutations and combinations. We don't have a recognized first eleven despite the fact that we have some of the best legs in Africa at the moment. The best thing is to let him go before world cup qualifiers and Nation cup begin. 1 Like |

I may not like Buhari or support him, but if there's anything he has gotten right, it's the infrastructure. Although insecurity has overshadowed his achievements, he remains the best president when it comes to infrastructure. Yorubas are reaping the fruit of voting for him. However, thunder will still fire him. 5 Likes |

humilitypays: Why am I not surprised ! An Igbo man will blame everybody except himself. When your forefathers were romancing Hausa / Fulani, it was all good then. Your Nnamdi Azikwe removed the secession clause in the Constitution just because he felt Igbos had Nigeria it their call and beckon. Igbos were the first tribe to massacre the generals in the army from other tribe while leaving their own to live. Igbos will always cry foul and marginalisation if things did not go their way but will do worse if they were to be in the position of the Hausa Fulanis. Pre- Independence, Yorubas were the most marginalised group in the country despite the fact that they generate the highest revenue in the country. You will never see the Yorubas shouting up and down about marginalisation, but will work harder and improve the lives of it's people. These foolish Igbos blaming Yorubas equally voted for Atiku another Fulani man from PDP but failed woefully. Shameless fools! This fool claimed other tribes have been subdued except Igbos - I laugh in tongues ! Igbos have been subdued since 1970. They lost over 3million souls and they were told sarcastically told that " NO VICTOR - NO VANQUISH". That is why everybody uses them as a stool politically because they must bend the knee. Your cry has just begun ! Blame your forefathers who sold you into slavery. |

By 2023, I most vote out this evil party, even if that's the one and only vote I'll cast as a Nigerian. A tyrant has no joy in anything endued with excellence; he sickens at the sight of it, he turns away from it; as an insult to his own attributes. 4 Likes |

I won't be surprised if Nigerians decide to take to the street in the coming weeks, and this time, Dem go hear am. Sorosoke protest will be a child's play to what is coming. I joined Nairaland in 2019. I was on kick off South Africa before our semi final match against South. One of the fans on that site mentioned that South Africans should check out Nairaland and see how Nigerians were roasting Soutys. I quickly logged in and since then, I've almost laughed my lungs out. Love the comments, the bashings and the tribal war that goes on here. Any lady from the Carribeans also mentioned this site and asked why Igbos and Yorubas are always on each other's neck, talking one another to the cleaners. I can't go a day without checking this site and my Twitter. 3 Likes |

If northern states can ban Alcohol and enforce Sharia despite the fact that Nigeria is a secular country, the South equally has every right to do as it pleases. I still get confused when people are shocked that Nigeria has refused to progress. Please tell me, how you want a country to move forward with these set of people as leaders? Imagine somebody in this position spewing such bigotry and trash in the public. The earlier the South understands that Northerners will stop at nothing to show disdain and play partisan politics, the better. 1 Like |

Jones4190: That land never belonged to the Arabs. Majority of people are looking at this issue from 1948 Othoman empire rule-world war 1 and British colonialism of the area. The land has always belonged to Israel before they were scattered all over Europe and after Holocaust, decided to move back to their ancestral land. You claimed we don't need to be a Christian or Muslim before condemning Israel. Going by your assumptions and logic, how do you want a person who is rational in thinking to condemn Israel for defending herself when attacked. Palestine started hitting Israel with rockets and missiles and you expect Israel to sit back and watch? Have ! If someone had attacked your family and you have the power to defend your own, will you sit back and watch? If Palestine or the Arabs were angry, they should have taken their issue to the UN or even the World court. By the time Israel begins it's full offensive, Palestine will be wiped out in days. You don't start a war you can't win. 6 Likes |

There are videos and records everywhere, I'm sure Palestine is not denying the fact that they fired the first rocket. Stop crying more than the bereaved. I don't know why our Muslim/ head slamming brothers don't think. Just sit down and think about these things for once: Why is it that Christian nations are the most advance militarily? Why is it that the Christian nations are the most developed economically? Why are the Christian nations the most developed politically, socially etc. Surely, there is a force that works for/with them. Just sit down and think about it for once pls. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Palestine should know they are biting more than they can chew. Israel has not even started with them and they've taken out all Hamas' military commnders. If the world does not come in to douse the tension and Israel decides to go full throttle against Palestine, they will be wiped out. I don't understand why you have to go into a battle you know you can't win in the first place. Obi1kenobi: Lol. I know you like reeling out the narrative that best describe your own interest. Did you know that that blockade is from both Israel and Egypt because it's being used by Hamas and other terrorist organizations to fire rockets and endanger the Israelis? When you claimed Israel has dropped more bombs than other Arab countries combined, have you asked yourself who started the war? Please, try and see this issue objectively. 8 Likes |

Olameen1713: But in all you wrote here, Israel never fired a rocket at them, Israel only invaded the mosque with his police. Maybe you should read up what lead to Israel I invading the mosque with it's police. In all of this, Israel never used a rocket or even it's army. Yet, the first thought if response was for Palestine to use rockets and you expect Israel to look on. Who does that ! 5 Likes |

Quelme: Maybe you forgot the part where I said there was a dialogue geared towards that which the Palestinians rejected in 1948 believing they could go to war and win. After the war, Israel harnessed the whole place. Just like the way Yorubas handed over Ilorin to the Fulanis with the help of Afonja, and up till date, it still belongs to them even though there are 80 percent Yorubas leaving there. So, are you now telling the Isrealis to hand over the land they spilled their blood to win? As the saying goes... You keep what you kill. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Obi1kenobi: You what your problem is? It's the fact that you don't read. First, read about the organisation 'HAMAS'. Read up why Israel decided to blockade the Gaza strip. Also read up the connection between Iraq, Iran, Hezbollah and other terrorist group. Then come back and tell me if what Israel is doing with the help of the western world is right or wrong. Stop reading with your emotion high up. Nigeria closed it's boarders with Niger, Chad etc just to curb the influence of terrorists who are not as sophisticated as Hamas. Now imagine what Hamas would have done to Israel with the help of the Arab world if Israel did not take her own destiny into her own hands. 6 Likes |

Quelme: You have to understand that their was a minority Jewish population controlling the east while there was a majority Palestinians controlling the west. It was Isreal's land but majority of them were scattered all over Europe and with the Holocaust, decided to migrate back to their land. It can be argued that there was no recognizable/legal state as at 1948, you can't rule out the fact that there are people who are indigenous to that land and as such, call it their land. 5 Likes |

Obi1kenobi: Good ! If you are ready to fire your rockets from a civilian environment or a demsely populated area, you shouldn't cry when your adversary decides to respond and hit your location. Since you can't find a jungle or a desert in the whole country, or even a military camp, then, you have no business crying foul when the chips are down. After all, all is fair in love and war. 6 Likes |

Empiree: What you said about Israel walking off the dialogue table is pure trash. In 1948, Britain proposed a treaty, Isreal accepted while Palestine walked off. Palestine which was backed by the Arab world declared war against Israel and were soundly defeated. Stop reading selectively while interpreting subjectively. Knowledge is power ! 6 Likes |

shogsman: Look at this stupid cretin, always allowing your fingers to work faster than your brain. It is all over the news that Hamas fired 130 rockets into Israel on the first day before Israel responded. As at now, Hamas has fired over 1000 rockets, killing 3 Isrealis. Stop playing the victim card. Isreal will never attack you if you don't attack them. 5 Likes |
