ilugunboy: Any false move by GEJ now can definitely precipitate impeachment move against him.....

It's not looking nice for him......the north is now more determined to get him out.

He made two costly and strategic mistakes that exposed his gross naïveté

1: Treating the Yorubas as inconsequential

2: trying to bribe the north with heavy..juicy political appointments and other political patronage in the hope that they will soft-pedaled in their determination to produce the President

To me...he should have treated the whole South as his constituency and not just the SE & SS, by now the Yoruba media propaganda would be working full blast to support him against any Northern political maneuver.

His own choice of words and those of his aides too messed things up for him.
O ni ku ni kekere @ ilugunboy..

He missed it by daring some important figures in the party. Being a leader is not by position alone u've got to know how to manage the resources (human and other) at your disposal well above average.

The popular statement that is credited to pdp being a FAMILY PARTY is obviously broken under his leadership. He has a lot of work to do.

He also explained that election was cancelled in some polling units because of snatching of ballot materials; delivering of coded ballot materials to wrong collation centres and the non-arrival of election materials at polling units.

With so much security personnel and more than a year planning (sigh) . Leadership is a skill and not academic certificates, Jega has done his best, he should be relieved of his duty for another competent,strict and experience person to take up the leadership of this so called INEC .

wondering why she told you in the first place,it's not like you caught her red-handed. I guess you are a prayerful person to get such revelation from a girl.

Guys do it and get away with it but there is something that is not just right when a girl do it. I'd ask you to forgive and carry on with her if you can because you can't imagine what a stalker man can do,especially when there is enough dough to flaunt at girls.She probably fell into temptation and couldn't help it before it gets too late.

On the second thought,you are going to find it hard to trust such gurl ever again. It's hard to let go but do it if you can cuz she's got to face the consequences of her bad choice/greed. It's your choice,make the one you can live with for the rest of your life. Good luck.

@dyt, Dettol mixed wit jik n hot water? lwkm4h.

Guy the chick is no more attracted to you anymore,she is still with you cuz of some good attribute you have and she hasn't got any guy who could give her such yet,as soon as she does,she is outta your league.

Do this check: Take her shopping and get her few interesting things that get her happy,then try to kiss her,if she does not refuse you but give it to you big time,trust me the story is not about her lips,she is not just attracted to you anymore. The check is only to turn her on and create an environment that bring alive the love for each other. If she refuses you kisses when you guys are back on this shopping while she is still in a good mood,then you've got to find out if there is a problem with you.

No follow dyt advise o,my hand no dey o.

What the heck,you girls are trying to hide this abomination from my name-sake? God forbid, give me the dude's number and I will ring him now.

Tell him and let him make the decision himself. It's heavy but it's the best you can do.
RomanceRe: Am I About To Make A Wise Decision Or Wrong Choice? by tblacker(m): 9:44pm On Jun 23, 2011
OP
Your heading and contents got me confuse. The heading suggest to me that you are about to say yes to someone that is asking your hand in marriage but the content is only talking about a relationship. I'd go with the content anyway. I assume you are already double-dating with all you have said because there is motive. You can plan your life around the yankee guy if you feel safe with him and he is treating you just the way you wanted it. Giving another guy some chance into your heart is just what I can not fathom in this your case,the guy that is not doing well and you already have your fears for him.Have you imagine how miserable the dude would feel if your heart is a mirrior and he can see all the thought running in your mind as regards him?

My advice,if you are still going back and the yankee guy is for real,turn whatever you have for the modest 9ja guy into friendship and face the man after your heart.

As for the age,I can't imagine calling a graduate a kid,so that is out of picture for me.Getting married at early age is an advantage as far as am concern.

P.S if you have a doubt in your mind about the yankee guy,roll on with the 9ja guy and ignore all the drama from your brother and encourage your guy to brave it out. Good luck dear.

don't be carried away with whatever wealth he might have amassed when he comes back and obviously some new swags.Having said that,i would ask that you don't write him off totally,someone you see everyday can leave you for another person let alone a dude that lives across the sea.

Test his motives and see how genuine they are.Let him know that the legs are close for now and the keys to them is wedding(if you see yourself spending the rest of your life with him).

I guess he was just carried away with the new environment plus you girls do play your insecurities out like there is no tomorrow when your man is away from you. You are definitely part of the problem if you can be sincere with yourself and look inward.

As for whether he would do it again,I doubt if he would stand that chance if you truthfully close them legs.But trust me,don't push him away.I feel you still have a thing for him that you have to come online and seek for some encouragement.Unless-of-course you have someone better now and you guys are seriously considering settling down together. My little piece.

MADNESS!

[s]D army comander should b sacked for incompetency in control over his subordinates[/s]. While d rougue soldiers should b arrested and be made to face the jail term. D foolish trigger happy policeman should b fished out and charged for manslaughter/murder.

Ds lawlessness should b stopped by ruthless punishment. No soldier has any justification to malhandle a cop, not to mention hunting dem down like games. Just same way no cop has right to shoot at any unarmed civilian, no matter level of provocation.

Great thread,bring on the excell right away,if you need help on how to go about it,please ask,am sure you will get as much help as you need. I voted for GEJ not because am a pro-GEJ but that does not stop me from scrutinising how he delivers his mandates,at least he is my president either I like it or not. Bring on the excel man.

P.S,this is not a thread where some low life is expected to make comments,only patriots are invited into this thread. If you think a state goverment,local goverment chairman etc threads are neccessary,please bring it on and don't start derailing this thread. God bless Nigeria.
RomanceRe: Should Women Change Their Phone Numbers After Marriage? by tblacker(m): 4:46pm On May 24, 2011
It's not compulsory but it is important in some cases. If you have been around hot gurlz then you would understand how hard it is for them to deal with stalkers. Some ladies I know can't wait to get married,not because they are wayward but just because of the loads of attention (victimisation)they get from guyz. Without a rethink,such gurls would change their numbers. I have few of them as friends so if eventually I get married to a gurl like that,I think I will understand if she demanded to change her number.

Remember guyz,different folks with different strokes. Don't be too quick to condemn a husband that asked his wife to change his number,it is too small a price to pay to save a marriage.
PoliticsRe: Ajumobi Is An American, So Akala May Still Be Governor Of Oyo State by tblacker(m): 7:04pm On May 20, 2011
I don't know that of Nigeria but the oat of citizenship of US is just too strong;

Excerpt from oath of citizenship of the US:

I hereby declare, on oath,

that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;

•that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;

•that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;

•that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law;

•that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law;

•that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law;

•and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.
In acknowledgement whereof I have hereunto affixed my signature.

I hope Ajumobi scale through this because I can't just stand having a looser like Akala to remain in the office of a governor for the next 4 years. Meanwhile,law is law,if he should be found guilty of this breach of constitution then he should be sent of without wasting of time.

But,wait a minute,what was INEC doing,were they not suppose to vet every candidate b4 election proper? This is a huge slap on INEC. Well,there is room for improvement,mistake like this should not repeat itself from an institution like this. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

This require a national attention,their(nothern elders) elder statemen knows this babarians and should call them to order otherwise a military action should be sanctioned against them.We can't continue leaving in fear,may God forgive me but I hate anything that has to do with the nothern part of this country;regards to the learned notherners who is not part of this though.

My problem with them is that they do not have a course they are fighting for.Militancy in south-south is the outcome of the maginalisation of that region, but notherners huh ? The fools want anything western-like to be eradicated and they are not wrapping themselves in leaves or animal skin rather they are wearing jeans,designers shirts and the rest. If I become the president of this country,more prison will be built and large chunk of money will be invested into psychatric homes because most of this mofos are definitely not right in the head. I hear they smell suck-away to get high,imagine that  angry .

Our new government has a lot of work to do,I just hope they are ready for the task ahead of them.And as for GEJ,am still watching! God bless Nigeria.

Good point but too many negativity,he should just creticise what has happened and not what is about to happen,GEJ has a whole 4 years to go and a lot of expectation can be met.

Sound so much like attention seeker. I pray GEJ government works,we really don't have much time for test-running anymore.God bless Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Is Sanusi Mad?. . Cbn Now Into Building Hotels? by tblacker(m): 3:58pm On May 18, 2011
Whatever his reason is,I think he is not facing the real reason he is appointed as cbn gov.,there are fundamental issue like inflation,stability of naira against hard currencies,reasonable balance of payment among others to deal with. There is virtualy no federal government establishment working perfectly in the country as of today,Nitel,Nigeria Airline to mention but few,this is definitely out of tune. Instead,I think he should advice federal government on the kind of establishment it should go into and not cbn statrted building structures up and down,

I have not been to the outside world but I doubt if this is a practice anywhere. Someone should please talk to this aboki to re-trace his steps. It's only a proposal I guess and I believe federal gvt. will never let this fly angry

PoliticsShocking Revelation Of Fmr. President's (musa Yaradua) Financial Status by tblacker(op): 4:15pm On May 14, 2011
http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/may/14/national-14-05-2011-010.htm

Last week, when the Federal Government and, indeed, Nigerians marked the first anniversary of the death of the late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua, not many knew that for the family, there was not much to cheer about the former number one citizen of the country. This is so because he did not leave anything, in terms of material acquisitions.

For many, this will appear shocking, going by the positions Yar’Adua held. But it’s true. Yes, between 1999 and 2007, Yar’Adua was the governor of Katsina State. While in office, he was hardly in the news. The reason being that apart from his health challenges, he was not given to rabble-rousing or attention seeking.
After his eight years as governor, Yar’Adua became president in 2007. Even as president, he still maintained a low profile and austere lifestyle. All these are common knowledge. But what many may not know is that despite all the years he was in high public offices, controlling enormous public resources, Yar’Adua did not build or buy even a single house. While his colleagues were acquiring magnificent mansions all over the world, he was contented with the family inheritance.

Saturday Sun investigation in Katsina revealed that the late president had only one house when he was alive. The house, it was gathered, was a gift from his late elder brother, General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua. It is located in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Katsina, near the Customs and Excise office.
Checks revealed, however, that while Yar’Adua did not build a house, his wife, Turai, acquired one when the former president was governor. The property, a white bungalow, located on Queen Amina Road, Katsina, is where the former First Lady and her children now live.

Sources revealed that before Yar’Adua died, some friends and associates, apparently scandalised that the president of the country did not have a befitting house, was building one for him behind Katsina Government House. The project, an elegant duplex, which is only waiting for fittings, was abandoned shortly after his death last year.

Those close to Yar’Adua told Saturday Sun that the late president’s simple lifestyle was legendary. Particularly, they say that he was not infested with the theft syndrome. They linked this to his background, having grown up in a family, where his grandfather and father, though comfortable, did not believe in excessive wealth.

It was gathered that when Yar’Adua was governor, he could hardly be distinguished from ordinary folks. Top government officials in the state, who worked with him when he was governor, revealed that the late president used to stroll out of the Government House to maitaba (cigarette shop) to buy Benson and Hedges cigarette. They said that he would light the cigarette and smoke leisurely, as he returned to his office or residence.

Offering insightful perspectives into Yar’Adua’s life, a former aide, who wished to be identified simply as Alhaji Bako, said: “When he was governor, he used to send his caps for re-treading, due to old age. Rather than buying caps all the time, which he considered a waste, he used to send his worn caps to be refurbished. He was that sort of person.”

Bako also said: “At the time Yar’Adua started to campaign for the office of president, he did not have more than 10 pairs of babanriga. It was a Katsina businessman, who sewed dozens of babanriga and gave to him. Even things as ordinary as clothes meant nothing to him.”

This is extremely amazing to me.
