Inability to spell his or her name correctly shows where he is from omo atohunriwa . If he or she is Yoruba, he could have course spell Adeola over and over again irrespective of the level of education. Green snakes under green grass.

God bless you Adiola though you couldn't spell your name right.

Politics / Fuel Subsidies As Explained by TBrown77(m): 4:26pm On Jun 05, 2023
Fuel Subsidy: Making Sense of the Real Enemy

Many people do not understand the politics behind fuel subsidy and it's dangers to the development and growth of Nigeria.

The intension of the government to subsidise petrol was simply to make the product affordable for Nigerians and make life easier. So, the average price of petrol in the world can be as high as N590, however, the Nigerian Government will subsidise the product and fix price at N185 bringing total amount of subsidy per litre to N405.

The average consumption of litres of petrol in Nigeria per day is 60 million litres. However, Marketers of the product loads as much as 100 million litres and above per day.

This means the Nigerian Government is expected to pay as much as N405 × 100,000,000 (litres) as subsidy per day to the Marketers of the product to keep prices at N185 for instance. This brings the amounts to N40.5 billion daily and about N1.2 trillion monthly. Kindly take note that this amount can either decrease or increase following prices of petrol at the international market.

So, just try to wrap your head around it and know what Nigeria expends on fuel subsidy alone in a year - obviously some billions of dollars.

Here's the irony of whole arrangement

1. Petroleum Marketers (major petrol dealers with tank farms) usually divert larger quantity of the subsidised petrol to neighbouring countries to resell at the international market price. So, they make same amount of money the Nigerian Government has paid on the subsidised petrol at the neighbouring countries.

2. This makes the product relatively scarce in Nigeria as the left over becomes lower than the daily consumption in the country. The implication is that petrol stations will be selling fairly higher than the fixed price of N185 (some sells N190, N205, N225, N250 and so on depending on the area). And during peak periods of scarcity, which are also engineered by the marketers, Nigerians still buy same subsidised petrol for as high as N400, N500 and even N800 as the case was in first quarter of this year while sleeping in filling stations. Again, marketers make double.

3. Marketers also import above the daily consumption of 60 million litres as seen above and still force the federal government to pay subsidy on the excesses, which are usually part of what they smuggle to neighbouring countries. Again, marketers dupe Nigeria.

4. This entire scenario makes a mess of the good intention of the Nigerian government to make petrol affordable for Nigerians.

5. This scarcity and high cost of the product despite subsidy leads to arbitrar increase in the cost of living. Transportation for instance, goes up crazily.

Moves to Remove Subsidy & Reactions

Therefore, successive federal governments having seen the outright abuse of the subsidy policy have always tried to cancel the policy so that market forces can determine the cost of petrol.

More so, the huge amount of money paid into the pockets of Marketers can be channeled to other meaningful venture such as infrastructural development, agriculture, social security, technology, health, etc.

However, whenever the move to remove subsidy is made, the Marketers are quick to shutdown their filling stations and deprive Nigerians access to the already subsided fuel in their possession. This leads to instant scarcity regime and hardship (like we are already witnessing).

And while the marketers make more money on one hand, they force and instigate Nigerians against the federal government with the hardship created on the other hand.

Then, the innocent Nigerians who do not understand the politics behind subsidy goes on strike, attacks the government and force her to continue the subsidy regime. We pay more for our ignorance at the long run.

The marketers are happy; they remain the top billionaires in Africa. Everyone loves them, wish to be like them, and celebrate them. Whereas the federal government count her losses, takes the insult, bears the bad name and pity uninformed/suffering Nigerians like you and me.

Will you support Tinubu to break this barrier and give us freedom or you will remain adamant and spread the hate?

Politics / Re: FG Postpones Population Census To May by TBrown77(m): 8:20am On Mar 16, 2023
Why is that in the history of Nigeria. The seating president to conduct census is always from the North. Even this regime census should be postponed till a Southern president gets to power. This will enable true picture of the census activity.

MUCH COLDER FROM TODAY UNTIL... 03/30/2023...

REMEMBER: Starting tomorrow at 05:27, we will experience the APHELION PHENOMENON, the Earth will be further from the Sun.
We cannot see the phenomenon, but WE CAN feel its impact. This will last until March.

We will have cold weather, MORE THAN THE COLD WEATHER EVER, which will have an impact on flu, cough, difficulty breathing, etc.
We must increase immunity by consuming many vitamins and supplements to strengthen it.

The distance from Earth to the Sun is 5 light minutes or 90,000,000 km. The Aphelion phenomenon takes us 152,000,000 km away from the sun, that is, 66% further away.

The air will be colder, our body is not used to this temperature, the difference is great.
We must keep our health conditions to the maximum, it does not matter if it is cloudy or sunny, the increase in cold will feel the same!!!

- Please, share this information with as many people as possible so that they also take forecasts... WRAP YOURSELF WELL.

TIME KEEPER....... AS LONG AS THE CHILDREN IS NOT AFFECTED USE HEADPIECE.

justFEARLESS:
Hello Guys

I moved to a new apartment early last month, and everything has been fine; a friendly environment, nice amenities and all, but I have only one problem. In our compound, there is a building in front with three and 2-bedroom flats in front of the building my apartment is behind, and it has two rooms and a parlour self-con.

The issue is that the window of my room is directly opposite the window of the bedroom of the people living in the 2-bedroom flat in the building in front. They get a little bit too excited during sex which is like every day and multiple times during the night: yesterday, I entered the house around 9:30 pm, and I noticed they were at it (This one, they didn't even close their window), They were already done before I slept off like 30 mins later, but they woke me up with their weird noise around 1, and it was on like that for like 1 hour, I managed to sleep, but they started again around 4.....

I don't know if they are married(because they don't wear rings or dress like married people), but they are young and live together; alone, but I can't bear this everyday wailing again. So what do you feel is right? If I tell the landlord to correct them, they will still know I am the one that reported because of the proximity of our apartment, and if I try to reason with the guy, it will be somehow awkward because we are yet to really start greeting ourselves sef.

For the record, I am married and blessed with a child, but my family lives in a different city. I moved here because of a program I am running. I will be spending at least 2 weeks here every month. Our landlord doesn't stay in the same compound but stays on the same street.

spice123:

My brother, I hardly comment on issues on this simply because of wrong perception but I will share my own experience.
My wife chats with her ex from time to time which I am fully aware right from the time we started dating till we married (her ex is married now). I've equally had a WhatsApp call with the guy in one or two occasions (friendly talk). I've come to build some rapour with him.
When this guy came to Naija I and my lovely wife went together to visit him. You see eh, everything in marriage is maturity. As it is we're planning vacation to the States sponsored by this guy. I'm a PROUD SIMP but I'm still in control.
With the way you're going with full blown Alpha male attitude, you will loose your wife. Thread carefully!

I wonder how people are still have faith in Nigeria. If the ISWAP or Boko Haram can be doing this to their own brother Buhari, don't you think they will do worse for President Tinubu or Peter Obi? There is NO faith in this country than to Balkanise her. I love my able Father in the person of President Tinubu to be in power but this people from the North will crumble his government, either ceasing NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OR JUDICIAL ORDINATION to make law effective and efficient because you can not ignore them.

I will be happy to see Peter Obi in power not because I trust him to perform. or any Easterner but because I want to see how they will cry fowl by saying the WEST is just looking at them where ISWAP, BOKO HARAM, BANDITS AND OTHER ISLAMIST EXTREMISTS FIGHTERS WILL FINISH THE GOVERNMENT.

One thing I am very sure of is more is very much coming until Military cease power. Time will tell. Lobatan Fissietemmie

In the last five years we have wasted our time in football. There is nothing new we are doing any longer .To see a country with many professional players home and abroad struggling to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup is heartbreaking. Gernot Rohr is not a good coach and I don't understand why he is still managing Super Eagles.

When I Was Governor, he applied to become employed as Enyimba coach. He was brought to Nigeria by Oscar Udoji but I refused to employ him. I am calling on the Chairman of NFF, Mr Amaju Pinnick to wake up and to quickly find a replacement for Rohr .

We soccer lovers don't need further dissatisfaction in a game, we have the capacity to make ourselves proud. If the problems you have this year are the same problems you had last year, then you are not a leader. You are rather a problem on your own that must be solved.

My own solution is there are problems peculiar to the North, some are for the South and problems that is North and South.

Problems associated with North are; Boko haram, ISIS ,Kidnappings etc SOLUTIONS: leave these problems with them in the north and let them find SOLUTIONS to it by themselves ( other regions should stay clearly away) money to finance the security issues in the North should come from the North. Politics / Re: Power Minister's Claim: What's The Electricity Supply In Your Area Like? by TBrown77(m): 3:12pm On Jun 11, 2020
Power can only be measured by TRANSFORMER by TRANSFORMER not by AREA or state...... DISCO have so divide us through these TRANSFORMER. GENERATION supply TRANSMISSION and collect the revenue of their supplies, TRANSMISSION have adequate supply from GENERATION to Supply DISTRIBUTION (DISCOS) . DISTRIBUTION don't request for adequate supply to give each TRANSFORMER on the street not that TRANSMISSION didn't have sufficient to supply them but they didn't want to pay TRANSMISSION people's demand (usage) . E.g Let G stand GENERATION, T for TRANSMISSION and D for DISTRIBUTION

G generates and gives T and T pays for what was supplied.
T Supplies Should is expected to be given to D and will be paid for.
D supply will be given to the consumer (end user) and will be paid for.

G ------- T -------- D ----------- C. which each component demand and paid for by each component.

Now if G generates # 100 worth of power and this is the national requirement
T looks up to D to know how much power to demand and transmit
D knew that the demand of the consumer is # 100 to meet 24/7 availability of power at individual homes.
D will demand for #40 power which will make power that is available with G and T of about #60 to waste.

They do these to gain #60 which was not supplied by T
They also give consumers crazy bill estimates bill which they gain from.
They are to supply prepaid meter to consumers which they will not, will reduce their gains if they supply prepaid meter.
Faulty Transformer should be repaired or replaced but look forward to consumers to pay part of the bill after waiting for about a year.

The question is who control/OWN This DISCOS (DISTRIBUTION LANE)

ANSWER POLITICIANS
