Oh and guys using the playbook, how will you rate the device? I'd like to hear first hand experiences as regards performance, entertainment, battery life as well as durability.
PhonesRe: Blackberry Playbook: Anyone? by TCD: 5:31pm On Mar 15, 2012
aieromon: Actually it matters a lot.You would do well to get a 3G phone if you intend to share internet access. The other determinant is the consistency of the network provider proving 3G BIS in that particular location.
yes I very much agree with you. What I was saying is something like You use a Curve 3 and then a Torch 4 to bridge (both 3G phones) , should there be a difference?
PhonesRe: Blackberry Playbook: Anyone? by TCD: 4:45pm On Mar 15, 2012
Also interested in this....don't think the phone type used to bridge should matter , should It?

Dudugirl01:
People keep telling me not to lie on my back, that my child might develop a cross eye because of that, but sometimes, my back hurts and I just want to lie on it, is it really true that lying onur back makes ur child cross eyed?
Lol, lying on your back doesn't cause crossed eye. Its a myth. Just that if you lie on your back, the enlarged uterus compresses the Inferior vena cava (which is a very big vein that transports blood from the lower part of ur body straight up to the heart.) Can cause reduced return of blood to ur heart, u'll can have hypotension (low BP), dizziness , breathlessness. even fainting and death.

Pregnant women are advised to lie laterally on their left side as the IVC lies just right to the right side of the spinal cord behind the pregnant uterus. This prevents them compressing the vein.

So so sorry for your loss, please take heart and stay strong. Your story reminded me of a family friend here in Australia who had a similar experience to yours. I could not believe it when the Ambulance people informed her that she had to be AIR-LIFTED to the nearest General hospital that her case is quite urgent (driving would mean she would get to the hospital 5 hours later and that was considered too risky for the baby). That very day within an hour she was delivered of the baby otherwise the baby would have died. I dont understand why your doctors did not see that your wife's case is an urgent one and that delivering the baby should be the first step. May the Lord comfort you and your family, and answer your prayer for more children IJN.
I
sister, you want her doctor to deliever the 30week old fetus, put in a basket or food flask? You don't understand  why his doctor did not see that his wife's case is an urgent one and that delivering the baby should be the first step? . No offense intended but You're not supposed to understand, that's why people spend over 10 years in medical education to understand what to do based on different situations and circumstances.

Rockamania:
My wife was in her seventh month of pregnancy when suddenly one night she woke up and alas there was fluid all over the bed. i was scared to the bone cos i've never seen such a sight in my whole life and i don't pray to see such again. i immediately rushed her to a hospital nearby where she uses for antenatal. there the doctor on duty said she had premature rupture of the membrane. they administered Ergometrine in a bid to stop the bleeding little did they know that it worsen the situation cos the baby died in her womb hours later without their notice. at dawn i observed that no test or scan had been carried out and i called the medical director's attention to it, all he could do was to give me a referral letter when he knew he was not a specialist. i later got to a specialist doctor who confirmed the baby dead after series of test and scan and he opted for evacuation. it was really a sad scenario.

my point however is that getting pregnancy tips is one thing while getting a qualified doctor who is ready to work is another most especially when things don't go as planned. the doctors i met that night knew she has a contraction and they would have just carried out basic delivery methods possible but they didn't blaming it on lack of incubator and other flimsy excuses
Sorry for your loss sir but you need to stop blaming that Doctor and calling him incompetent. Your wife had pprom. I believe that doctor did his best based on what was available.

Your wife was 7months pregnant, that's about 30weeks. You want him to initiate basic delievery methods, after that, what next? Without an incubator or NICU? The age of fetal viability in nigeria is 28 weeks, even at that some teaching hospitals have a problem keeping alive a baby born at 30weeks talkless of a small private hospital. You say he didn't do any tests , scan etc. What tests do you want him to do? If he doesn't have a scanning machine should he manufacture one by magic?

It was very late at night. I believe the doctor gave the basic first aid to keep your wife and the baby, pending transfer of your wife to a specialist center. That doesn't make him incompetent or unqualified. What happened is unfortunate, such things happen. but its definitely not the doctors fault.
FamilyRe: Letter Written To My Rapist 29 Years After by TCD: 8:07am On Mar 09, 2012
Just a thought, a girl you had consensual intimate intercourse with or no intercourse at all 29years ago all of a sudden comes up and starts accusing you of violation. Your are disgraced in the view of your whole family, friends and colleagues. Random people from the internet get your phone nobr, call and accuse you of being a dog. You are attacked , stoned and your legs hacked off for what you didn't do. Your life is over with this allegation, you can't prove you didn't do this, neither can your accuser prove her claim. Nonetheless you are ruined. An innocent man destroyed because of the allegations of a scorned ex-lover.

Nairalanders, the man might very well be innocent. That is why the law is there. A random girl cannot just come with a glorious tale and accuse a man of Desecrating her and we all assume he is guilty, get his name and number splashed allover the internet, involve his friends and family then issue death threats to him.

For every man out there, remember it could be you facing these unfounded and unproven  allegations. For the ladies , It could be someone accusing your father , your brother. Would you like to be harassed, condemned and treated this way? Everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. That's the way it should be.

EducationRe: Do Doctors Really Smoke Too Much? by TCD: 5:08pm On Jan 24, 2012
As human beings and adults, we have a right to choose what and how we live our lives. So let them be. As a doctor he knows the full risks of taking cigarettes and is probably taking preventive measures such as periodic screening for lung cancer. Many things we take day to day can kill you over time, not just cigarettes. Fried foods, sugars, sodas, processed foods for example all build up cholesterol/sugar levels and overtime cause debilitating conditions like diabetes, hypertension even stroke and heart attacks due to atherosclerosis. I wonder why we don't see people screaming my doctor drinks coke and Mr biggs therefore he is classless an immoral man.

BusinessRe: GTBank Shuts Down HiTV Premises & Puts It Into Receivership by TCD: 8:20pm On Nov 24, 2011
Jimmy Boy:
@Shinor I don't know this Toyin Subair guy, but I know if someone has not experienced business failure before he probably has never being in business before or not for too long. We need to understand that we go into business based on projections which in turn are based on assumptions. The truth is that many things just happen outside our projections. I want to belivie that GTBank's Risk Management guys must have studied HiTV business plans properly before disbursing N9b, you also need to know the loans of this magnitude are beyond even the MD/CEO of the bank , it has to go to Board Credit Committe.

So, I don't think is fair to suggest that this guy was dumb when he was concieving the Hitv idea. I just pray he recovers from this debacle.
In that case, the GTB risk assessment people are dumb, also the board credit committee.

HITV came in banking on only the EPL to sell decoders, seeing as they snatched the rights off DSTV, people starved of their regular dose of football ran to them in droves. They soon discovered that apart from football on weekends, the rest of HITV's content was total waste, nothing with real entertainment value.

HITV should have seen the handwriting on the wall. During the Off-season of the EPL, 80% of subscribers never renewed subscription until football starts again in August. They keep sending texts and calling , dear subscriber, why haven't you recharged? Like Duh?

They kept banking on the EPL, even the EPL quality was zero, sometimes sounds go off, mic too high and so on. Well, subscribers still endured coz we want our football and HITV was still smiling to the bank. Then the unthinkable happened! They lost the rights.

Eye still no clear them at that point, instead of going back to the drawing board it was still the same old rubbish Channels and promise of "more". Do you know that when DSTV lost the EPL rights to HITV, they went back and formulated channels like Afmag yoruba, afmag hausa, and others, Opened a supersport studio in Naija, and so on. Those improvement even increased sales without EPL. Ofcourse house wives loved it and most people who had HITV also had Dstv at home.

So yea, Tony subair is totally dumb and an incompetent CEO/business man. Even a 3 year old would run HITV better.

Here we go again! grin
From everything l have read so far and your clarifications concerning "your needs and your marital affairs", l will make some summary!

Now,l got to be brutal about these; many women would not fancy my position but they are all entitled to theirs as well. wink

Need: Your own biological child. End of story.
From your submissions, you dont need a wife in the actual sense. Your wife #2 may come across as selfish but that is human nature: Humans are selfish by nature! Simples!!

For me, what your wife does is actually not totally within your control, thats a bitter fact of life nowadays! If you marry her for the next 30yrs and she does not want to bear children for you (for whatever reason, which l think she should have been able to convince you of, in 8yrs!) SHE WOULD NOT EVEN GET PREGNANT, how much more bearing a child!

So, whats YOUR OPTION(S)?:
1.)Would your wife change her mind? After 8yrs, l dont think so. Infact, forget it, you cant have a child by her!

2.) Wife #3? A dangerous possibility but then "you're falling in-love with her" and men are stewpid when they fall in love; they cant think rationally and like someone pointed out, what if She wont/cant bear you kids nko?
What will you do? Wifey #4? Naaah, stop hopping around man, you no be Grasshopper now, abi?

3.) My suggestion: Since l am convinced that what you need is your own biological children, IMPREGNATE A WOMAN (any sane woman) and LET HER DELIVER THE CHILD FIRST and FOREMOST. Dont give yourself out again on this one o! Rein-in your emotions.
Check me out properly o!

a.) I did not say marry a woman or the woman (dont complicate your situation with further marriages right now.)
b.) I mean just "impregnate any fertile woman" (adult and of-age, of-course! grin ). Support her till baby is delivered.
Then ask yourself and herself, if marriage is for both of you afterwards!

Advantages:
1.) You will have solved your biggest headache.
2.) You could still keep your "wife #2", (if you still want her or if she still wants you; Thank God its not a legal marriage, she for show you pepper! grin).
3.) The new "mother of baby" might even decide she does not want to marry you or just wants to be paid-off (like surrogacy)
4.) You can shop-around for a wife #3 then (if thats your wish), without the pressure of "l want a child", maybe just for pure love and bliss!
5.) At times, one cannot get all we want in a "single product".
(I like Volvo cars for strength but l like Toyota for fuel efficiency and l like the ruggedness of Mercedes cars but can l get all these attributes in one car? Dont think so! So, l buy a Volvo first and sell it later, buy Mercedes next and sell  it later and now that fuel is getting costly, maybe its time to get a Toyota! wink ). Since wifey #2 cant give you your won biological kids, get it elsewhere and she can remain if she wants or since she is not even "your real wife" (women consider the first wife, the real wife, right?), she can go back to her being a widow.
(Who the heck came-up with the car-analogy on this thread! shocked shocked )

But please, be careful in jumping into another "marriage".  It can cause you a lot of grief!
Marriage should be off-limits for you. You can have a child without being married (White peeps call it "partner" or "cohabiting", No strings attached! wink

Remember the saying: When disaster comes, it does not come singly! They come in droves!
You have a 90% probability of making another mistake, as per marrying another wife!
In your position, your judgement about marriage is just no longer reliable (it is beclouded by your "need"wink and you will likely make another fatal error unless you sort out that "biological need" first.

See why l say its not going to be "ice-cream, lovey-dovey" stuff? Brutal stuff!! grin grin wink

Lastpage.

BTW: Be careful, if this "possible wife #3" knows you're desperate for a child, you're finished! That your "weakness" would be used against you, all the remaining days of your life and it wont be amusing at all.
I pray that you will use wisdom, even from above.
Cheers.
If I were impotent, and my wife wants her own baby, I'll by any means necessary give her one. I believe being a parent is a basic need that shouldn't be denied to people who really want them.

^^^ Actually, you have two options for delivery.
1. Either you pick up from the closest park ( sounds unprofessional, yet the most effective, cos you can get your items in hours)
2. By courier, a little more expensive, and could take days. FEDEX, DHL can get this done.

More or less same cost, All works. Let me know,

Thanks,
