Hi, so happy I found this thread, pls my 4 month old baby hasnt pooped in 8 days. What can I do to help him poop? This is the 1st time this is happening. He is exclusively breastfed.

u can gv him orange juice. Squeeze d orange into a cup/bowl, remove d seed and oda particles and gv him abt 2-3 spoons. U cld also insert ur lil finger into his bombom and just turn it round. Rub vaseline on ur finger first b4 inserting. 8days is a long tym, even for EBF babies.

My birthstory was a long tin ooh, after 41 weeks I decided to do self induced myself. On tuesday at exactly 4pm I used a teaspoon of castor oil and added it to fresh juice. I drank it and at about 6pm I noticed my contractions were getting heavier but it was painless, I went to d clinic @ aout 8:30pm and it was confirmed to me that my cervix was still close. On getting back home around 9:05pm I saw my show. I decided to spend the night in my house, all thru the night the contractions kept increasing on getting to d clinic @ 7:30am I was told I had dilated to 2cm and I should wait small. @ 3pm I had dilated to 6cm and my water was ruptured. At about 5pm I was fully dilated and then at exactly 5:35pm my pretty princess came forth. It was worth it. She weighs 3.89kg. D tear was sometin else but in all I thank God.

My dear I was also in ur shoes though am married bt didn't want d baby because I hv a bby less than 2yrs of age and am presently serving. Abortion is not the answer. I am keepin my child because it has d right to live. Wat if ur own parents aborted u. Jus be strong. U will pull through

She has blocked nose,and when she breaths u could hear some funny sounds, but no mucus comes out.some say its normal for newborns,but i don't think so

ur baby s fine really. if no mucus, then no catarrh. his breathing ll b fine wt time. Just try nt yo expose him to cold, and of course, dont overcover him.

Keep d pregnancy. d mistake has been made already. dont commit another crime.It may nt b easy initially bt u ll pull thru if u re determined.Who said u cant finish schl because u got pregnant? U most definitely can.Cheers

I have always visited this thread on and off. I will say this thread helped to calm my frayed nerves, when my wife enterered labour.
On Friday 14th my wife was delivered of a baby boy. I give all Honour and Adoration to the most High God. To Him alone be all the Glory.

4wks? Wow. Been complaining of waist pain for over a week. Even went to my doc last week he did a scan and couldn't find anything. Gave me antibiotics just in case of infections.
Who would have guessed.

Hello mamas ,Good morning all...hope we r all doing fine..I thnk God so far that I'm having a stress free preggy..sometimes it borders me if all is well...I'm in my 9th week now and i just feel normal..if not just some on and off cramps den sore nipples noting more..I don't know if I should b worried or thankful for that,I can't wait 4 my scan next week 2 see my little bunny so i'd have my mind at rest..well,I just say make I hail u guys cuz it's been a while I posted here...tnks.

Abeg when is this cramps going to stop cos I panick whenever it starts I've bn vry careful to make sure my stress is minimal and again my doc is yet to prescribe drugs 4 me o I'm in my 6th week and he said no self medication so I dnt knw if I should go ahead and start taking folic acid or jst abide by his rule.

i cant blv a dr asked u nt to start taking prenatals. Pls start ur folic acid, its very important at this stage of ur pregnancy(stage of organ formation). U cld still doublecheck wt ur dr(mayb he meant u shldnt tk oda meds, definitely nt F/A) or better still seek a 2nd opinion.D cramps will stop wt tym. Its ur uterus expanding to accomodate d baby

congrats dear! EBF for 6months no easy(talking frm xperience). I ll advice u start wt rice based cereals, they re easier to digest. then gradually introduce others. Goodluck

07:40am - The doctors came to check him during the night. He is still stable.

I am with him right now and he is conversing well.

He says thanks to everyone and keep praying for him.

Just confirmed I'm preggys two days ago and I'm overjoyed though hubby is giving me the blank face. I guess he's worried about the financial commitment. I'm guessing I'm about 2wks gone though I'll see a doc tomorrow. Is it too early to start antenatal ? No blame me, first timer tinz lol...

Cograts dear, happy for u. U shld b abt 4wks gone.U start counting frm d first day of ur last menstrual period. U can start antenatal frm ur 2nd month.In d meantime, start taking ur folic acid and other routine drugs.Wishing u a stressfree 9months.

What ever the case, if there is an unfortunate need to progress to this stage of costly transplants, then ensure you apply some best practice in supply chain costs management.

Make sure you get some kind of competitive bidding into place.

Get as much health providers to put quotes in and let them know they are in a competition.

One easy approach I like to use is to email them in bulk. Let them all see each other and then ask each of them to kindly send their lowest quote for the job. Make sure you spread the geographical spread of the bidders (e.g. India, SA, Turkey, Czech Rep, Morocco, Argentina, Ireland, Malaysia, China etc), don't only focus on the "norm".

From there, select the 10 lowest bidders/quotes (now emailing them individually), assess their competence and then play them against each other to further reduce their initial quotes until you are able to select 1 and keep 2 others as back up.

Ensure you get a kind of official, contractual and definitive agreement with the selected choice in terms of total cost, with some agreement of maximum additional, unseen costs to get the full intended outcome (his complete well being) before committing to use their service. By having 3 suppliers giving you details of their costs and what they plan to do, then you can easily compare what services are needed and are going to be provided.

So there is no hidden costs of surprise services they throw at you once he is in their country, the maximum you will pay beyond the "quote" is that in the agreement, which was put there as a worst-case contingency. Even when paying that, all additional costs would be carefully justified as necessary and scrutinised for rational of why it was omitted from the initial quote. If there is no justification of why it was omitted, then they potentially have to take the hit for the costs. If it works well (and I know it is difficult), ideally you will not pay more than the quote agreed.
