Silverb: Hello mama's and all the preggy ladies out there, greetings to you all.I made a post here some months back when i got my BFP,am 35wks plus and this is my second pregnancy. I had my first child through cs(she will be 2 next month) reasons cause her heart rate was high. recovering after my cs was long and painful,I don't wish to go through another cs as long as i and baby are doing fine. Am seriously considering having a vagina delivery this time,I need encouragement from all the mama's here and i would also love to here from mama's who has gone through vagina birth after cs. hi dear. so sorry no one responded ealier.Since d indication for d previous cs is nt a recurrent one, u hv sm chance of trying vag*nal delivert this tym arnd(as long as there is no indication for cs again.) Just b positive and tell God wot u want. Generally, we advice mothers who had cs to stay abt 18months b4 conceiving again so dat their body heals well. |

Gboliwe: Shirt kwa? I don't think that's necessary. If there has to be a uniform, a white shirt on a blue jean is ideal. We don't have money to start printing shirts. If there is money for shirts, let's channel it to paying for medication and eating our patient healthy fOod i agree wt u. u spoke my mind. i dont c d relevance/importance of d shirt. d money shld b channeled to smthg else. Even d video may nt b necessary.If a media house is stepping in, then i think they ll b d ones to do d filming. |

chaircover: Thank you for your suggestions. You are absolutely right. We need a definitive diagnosis and we havent got one yet
The passport is however important for the following reasons;
- If it turns out that the diagnosis is an emergency and he needs to be flown out, we dont want to be waiting around for the passport, thus causing delay. We say 6 hours, but you know what it can be like in Nigeria. The machine may break down and he may be asked to come back in a few days etc Its best that he has it ready in his hand so he is ready to fly out as short notice.
- We dont know DJ's medical state. We thank God that he is still strong enough to move around and this is the time to do it now that he has strenght. We dont know what medicactions he may be put on when he gets into treatment proper and that my make him drowsy and may affect him. So we need to be ready. okk. i undstd ur points. thanks for responding. |

@chaircover, i commend d way u ve been trying to organise things.God bless u.Just want to mk a suggestion.I think djdola shld first b properly assessed in a good hospital b4 d passport is obtained.Let a good dr see him, do d necessary tests et al and come up wt a definitive diagnosis first.Good a thing d passport stuff wouldnt tk more dan 6hrs as we ve bn told.And sm1 @ d passport office has already bn contacted.Wot do u think |

chioma134: Pls, I need links to the original thread so I can know exactly what happened and how the diagnosis was arrived at. Looking at this picture, looks to me more of a liver pathology than kidney disease. If kidney disease is involved, it's probably hepatorenal syndrome, and definitive treatment is liver transplantation. Instead of rushing him to a dialysis centre, I would suggest a proper assessment at LUTH or LASUTH to get a working diagnosis, then it can be taken up from there. My thoughts only. However, as I said earlier, these issues may have already been dealt with earlier on in the previous thread, so someone should please post the links. Thanks. from wot was gathered, health workers are on strike so luth/lasuth or any oda govt option wont b a good option for a case like dis.Dats y they started looking for a good private clinic. |

MojAyo: anyway,dis is about how u want to care for ur baby,so everybody is different with d way they care for their baby,if u re a nigerian,I think ur parents or ur mother in law won't like u to nt give a little bit of water to their grandchild,cos that's how they care for us ,and nothing happen to us of course, our some of our mothers and grandmothers may want to stick to old tradition, bt dat does not nullify scientifically proven, WHO approved facts.My problem was just wt d way u asked her 'y she shld do wot her dr said' |

MojAyo: ha,pls did u want to hurt ur baby,why would u listen to what d doctor said about nt giving water,try and give him 5ml of water ,3 times a day,the baby is thirsty for real,u see me,I started giving my baby water at 2weeks after I gave birth to him,the body needs water to flow freely,pls just try and give him d amount I mentioned,pls dnt give him too much water o,the water she drinks when u re bathing her indicates dat she is vry thirsty,even the doctors and nurses advising nt to give babies water,they give their baby little water,bt nt much,dnt just give him any water,let d water be warm nt cold o,good luck And y shldnt she listen to wot her doctor says? Pls mind wot u say. u re free to gv ur suggestion bt pls dont discourage sm1 frm following her dr's directive. Who told u 5mls of water 3x/day s wot a baby needs. If u dont do EBF, then its perculiar to u.Mothers hv done it and reap d benefit. Abt 70% of breastmilk s water, and yes, breastmilk alone is enuf to sustain a child for d first 6months of life. |
