Hello mamas nd papas hope you had a lovely weekend? my 9 month old son hates milk , tried the yogurt to no go area, yesterday I was taking hollandia evaporated milk,while I was with d can he struggled with me so I gave him a sip nd he LOVED it ,

Pls is der any baby milk dat has almost same taste cos I've tried nan nd sma .

I've also tried sneaking it in *for where* he doesn't take pap nd his basic diet is yam, carrots, butter, chicken or liver puree den I add a lil spice.he also takes fish nd egg.d only milk he takes is bossom milk.is it OK?

pls ow do u prepare d chicken puree? Does blender really gring d chicken well such dat baby can tk it? Sorry i dont kno any milk wt similar taste to hollandia.Pple say its good.

Yes o, as soon as baby starts walking. Some start @ 9 months, they just put the baby there to teach him how to sit on it. The toilet seat should be for d older kid tho. From 2yrs.

Wow. You started late o. Step 1- buy pants , she has to wear it during the day. Keep her potty near the toilet door. First week is tough, once she poos on her pant u let her know its wrong then gently take her to her potty and show her where to poo. First thing every morning put her in her potty, she will def wee. Every child is diff, my first was challenging to train. It usually better to Start as soon as your child can walk. Don't forget to introduce the words poo and wee.

Wen s d best tym to start potty training in terms of age? Or shld it just b as soon as d child starts walking regardless of age?

Do I need to add sugar or glucose to my LOs pap? Just about to start him on it. He's already eating mashed bananas, potatoes, rice, plantain & oranges.

i add sugar to my LO's pap and he tolerates it . i dont add to his cereal

Oh Yes! you are right, this is her first time. But she is already 40weeks and 2days.
We rushed to the hospital cos she felt an unusual contraction pain.
We were told its false alarm after putting her on monitor but she still feels pains at home,
though the pains some times comes and goes.

pls try to b calm.As @MrsAwesome said, for first timers it cld tk some time. There s no need to panic. There may b no need to spend d extra cash o.i blv those at d govt hsptl kno wot they re doing.She has nt 'overstayed'. By say 10days postdate, her docs ll probably induce labor. For nw, its just eatchfl waiting as sm1 said. wish u all d best.

bros nao, y u talking like ds? we all know dt cervix dialates to a max of 10cm before a baby can come out,( pls note dt it is not d uterus dt opens up, its d cervix dt dialates) and 50% of 10cm is 5cm....so wat are we saying? .......anyway I believe she must av put to bed by now.

there s something called 'effacement' during labor. d 50% here was referring to effacement, nt cervical dilatation. they re 2 different things.u cld look up effacement.Btw, i no b bros o.

@bossladyMo, i has membrane sweep done for me wen i was in labor and it help hasten my labor.i wasnt induced.

My wife is suppose to give birth today according to the doctor's prediction
but she was sent back home this morning despite the contraction pains.

She was told her Uterus or what ever it is called has only opened 50% and needs to
open an extra 50% before she can put to birth.

How long does this Uterus takes to open to its normal stage and what is really happening, is
their an explanation to this? I really don't understand anymore and i am getting sick here.

did u say 5cm, and she was sent back home? pls kindly post d name of d hosp abeg, because she is supposed to be admitted immediately, wat if d labour progresses fast...anything after 2 cm is active labour, I beg to be corrected by senior colleagues in d med profession...some hosp are actually supposed to be scrapped off.....

pls read thru his post. he didnt say 5cm. d 50% mentioned s nt synonymous wt 5cm. nobody ll send u home wt 5cm dilatation.

1. I had OCAITIS( not sure of the correct spelling) when I was 16. It was treated and I was given some drugs.
2. I later discovered that the testile on the left side of my manhood started shrinking in size and later disappeared.
3. to compound the whole thing I don't release sperm anytime I have sex but I do have "wet dreams"

sorry abt ur case. was d orchitis treated well by a specialist? ow long ago did u notice d disappearance of one of ur tes.ticles, did u report to a specialist? I kno there re supplemnts dat boost sperm count bt dont kno if they ll b helpfl in ur case. Pls see a specialist. wish u d best.

I had a miscarriage in july and ever since it turned my system upside down. I dont get egg white mucus, i dont ovulate, my mense became heavy with pains. normally its 4-5 days but now it 8days. Through out the month i also feel bloated especially after eating. It always feels very hard like am pregnant.

Please doc what could be the problem and any drugs to correct all these?

so sorry abt ur miscarriage. Try to relax, miscarriage has a way of 'disorganising' ur system.Let ur body heal gradually.Eat well and rests well. cheers

Hi docs

I had contact with my man's precum on the 21st of August, which was day 9 of my cycle. That was the only thing that I had contact with, infact there was no attempt at penetrating, all he did was just caressing. I was scared so I took postinor 2 on day 11 ( less than 48hrs after the act). Exactly two weeks after taking the postinor 2 (which is my day 25), I had my menses (no difference in colour and/or duration) and I was relieved. The week after I was placed on triple therapy for ulcer treatment (omeprazole, amoxycillin and metronidazole) for 2 weeks. This span to the third week of my cycle. The problem now is that my period for this month, by day 26 I started having pms just like I normally do for say 4-5 days before the bleeding. However up till now, my period is yet to come. I took urine pregnancy test and it came out negative. is it the postinor that is messing with my cycle or the triple therapy thing. This is my first, no prior experience like this n my normal cycle is 28/29 days.

@zeedward, wow congrats again. its normal to still hv v.aginal bleeding. it may even last till 1 month or more.As u breastfeed, a hormone s released dat causes ur uterus to contract more as it returns to its pre-preggy state. so its normal to even feel slight pain in ur tummy whike bfeeding.
@lovinam, wot u did for zeedward s really commendable Im encouraged. May God reward u bountifully.

u re welcome dear. abt ur appetite, just tk it easy. Eat little @ a tym just dat u may hv to eat for up to 4-5times in a day bt small qty per tym.Tk plenty fruits and veggies.Try as much as u can to tk ur prenatal meds, very impt. wishing u an enjoyable preggy ride

sorry dear, pregnancy is really nt easy. is dis ur first? For d spittibg, try chewing on ice. u can also kp bitter kola in ur mouth, u dont need to chew it.. For d oda complaint, try nt to eat late at nyt and dont lie down imm after eating. jisike

bossladyMo: You can mix it with anything he eats, just as you are already doing. Make beans for him, veryyy soft, almost a puree and add formula. You can also make mashed potatoes and add formula.

That way, you will realise that at the end of the day, he will be getting the required amount of milk he needs.
