pls senior mamas in d house, I went to antenatal today yet I was given another edd. the first edd I had on October was 29Feb, d 2nd was last month 3rd March and today they gave me 12th march...I had d 2nd scan in a different hospital.

D date calculated from ur LMP s most accurate. Late scans are nt reliable in dating a pregnancy.

1yr may nt b enough o. D recommended tym is 18months after cs. So dat u ll increase ur chances of having a vbac. Its very possible, esp if d indication for d cs isn't a recurrent one.

@hajarahbadmus, u can get educative toys at delightful toyshop at illupeju. They also deliver to wherever u are. How old s ur baby? U can get stacking toy for him, puzzles, building blocks. For d building blocks, don't bring all out at d same time, bring out like 5-8pcs. Then show him wot to do wt it. As tender as he is, don't let him always have his way. Gv him paper and pencil to scribble.etc

Very OK. I wonder y u were asked not to bathe him after penta1. Bathing no dey do anything to vaccine. Just don't rub d site.

@tatacherie, welcome to newborn thread. Clean ur nipples often wt olive oil. Ensure baby latches on properly. Apply a lil of ur breastmilk to ur n.ipples. Takes lots of fluid and pap. Continue putting baby to breast.

Water, formular, then cereals suitable for her age. U can gradually introduce adult food from 6months.

Lol. Unlike u, my threshold for pain isn't zero. D major thing I can say I did was pray. I wanted short labor and I got it. just tell God wot u want and He ll grant ur heart's desire.

My dear, no screaming and shouting o. Maybe dats y they didn't believe me initially wen I said I wanted to poo. By d tym d pain became quite unbearable for me, I was fully dilated.

On Thursday evening (7th), dressed up, went for our church crusade wt dh. As I got down from d car, I felt dis gush like pee on my undies. Was surprised cos I had just peed b4 leaving d house. I told my dh I wanted to use d bathroom. On getting there, saw my undies was soaked smhw, and d kyn pee dat came out was just small. I decided to just put tissue and watch. Went bk to d crusade ground. It then occured to me dat it cld b my water breaking and dripping small small o. I shared my tots wt my dh. I stayed for d rest of d crusade, got home, still experienced little 'gushes' of fluid. I was meant to stop work d next day(8th), wch was also my bday. So I went to work on d 8th, (I had put pad tho, to avoid embarrassment), dh even took me out. All this while, no serious contraction, just this vague waist pain, very minimal. So arnd 5pm on Fri I decided to go to d hsptl. Was examined and it was confirmed dat d fluid was my 'water'. Was admitted and given antibiotics dat nyt(since it was up to 24hrs d 'water' had started dripping). A CTG was done and d result was ok. My dh went bk to d house. Contraction then started in d nyt, off and on. Was waking me intermittently. By early morning, it had quite increased in intensity. I managed to brush and bathe arnd 5am. Had breakfast and Lay down. Contraction by nw was stronger, lasting longer. My dh came bk arnd 8am or so. By then, I was already having d urge to poo. Told him to call d nurses. Cos I wanted tokno ow much I had dilated. because of d liquor I was draining, no v.gina examination had bn done. Wen d Dr finally came to check me, she said I was already fully dilated and shld b moved to d labor rm .Was told to push wt d next contraction.D first push, nothing nothing, d 2nd push na pee I use bathe d midwife(lol), wt d next push , my Prince came out. He weighed 2.8kg. I had told d midwife not to gv me episiotomy, unless it was necessary. And she didn't gv me. My baby tore me a little tho, bt it s nothing compared to d epis I had wt my first baby.
I really thank God for answering my prayers and making it all end in praise. He ll do same for all mamas in this thread and our sister thread(TTC).

Ur pcv isn't soo bad. Just eat healthy. Increase fruit/veggie intake. plus ur prenatals. For baby weight, u don't need to worry. At 36wks, scan showed my baby wt as 2.3kg bt he came out at 38wks weighing 2.8 wch s OK. abi u wan born 4.5kg?

Morning mamas, congrats to all the new Mamas and los. Pls I need help o. I urinated yesterday night and wiped with tissue, only to see a thick mucoid discharge, but colorless. This happened for about 3-4 times. I even inserted a white towel in my pp, but no discharge. The discharge is colourless and odourless. Hobby and I have been so scared since then, and Lo sef has not been kicking well. All I feel is heaviness on my pelvic bone and pp. Pls am just 35 weeks, should I be scared?

If u feel baby isn't kicking well, u cld do a scan to b sure everything s OK. I don't think d thick discharge s anything to worry abt. Also had same experience.Stop inserting anything o, biko.

hello mums,I don't know if any mum have gone through this here.but I need advice on behalf of my sis in law,she is a ftm she gave birth to a big baby and during delivery one of the shoulders of her baby was broken in the process of bringing the baby out.what can we do to fix the shoulder back.should we go traditional or orthodox??

The baby shld b taken to a good hsptl, preferably tertiary. D damage s usu to nerves arnd d shoulder(brachial plexus). D traditional pple ll most likely cause more harm than good.

Don't gv any drug. Improve ur own diet and breastfeed her more often.She ll b fyn. Relax.

For me, it's 15 days to EDD. Yeah! we gonna drop our babies bumper to bumper make dem no rush us @all.
@ Nurses in da house, pls at ANC to in my urine test today glucose was positive. So, I was advised to check my sugar level and the lab lady said it was 143. She told me it's not high and advised I produce another urine for a second test glucose was still positive. Wanna know if it's something I should be worried about. Though, she advised I do another test next week.

Nothing to worry about at all. D kidneys excrete glucose in pregnancy. As long as d level in d blood is fyn, u hv no cause to worry. Also having same in this preggy, some times, up to 3pluses bt bld levels hv all bn normal.
