Michael547:Hell |
Michael547:Are you saying that his body was the symbolic temple and not the literal temple? I disagree with you. His body was the literal temple. The Holy Ghost dwelt in him |
Michael547:Oga, it did not state were they would be thrown that's why I am asking, did your translation state where they would be thrown? |
Michael547:He was talking about his body. I hope you know that his body was literally the temple of God and that's no parable. Right? |
Michael547:I am not sure that was mentioned in my translation. But I welcome your translation. |
Michael547:Please explain your question better. I am not sure the verse spoke about that |
Michael547:Oga we are literally the temple of God. That the people did not understand doesn't change the fact. So as usual, you are wrong. |
Michael547:I don't get your question. There is no connection. The moral lesson of Luke 16. 19 is for you and I to do the right before it gets too late and we no longer have the chance. That's what the story of Lazarus and the rich man is about. You can add your insight too. |
Michael547:No they did not but you and I know so what does that have to do with our topic oga. |
Michael547:This thread is one of the funniest I have ever experienced. You guys came to teach your doctrine but now you all are learning from me. I am now the one resolving your concerns and answering your questions. Imagine you go out to preach and the person you are preaching to takes over your mic and starts teaching you and answering your questions. ![]() |
Michael547:Did he need to? Is his body not the temple of God. Please explain your point? Why do you think he needed to tell them when in truth and not in parable, your body is the temple of God. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. |
Michael547:Oga have you not been reading. I keep saying that I don't know if it was a parable or not. Now Luke 13.28 was not even a story so it is easy to tell that it is no parable. The other verse is a story so one may not be sure if the story is a parable or a true life story. |
Michael547:Are you trying to be dishonest or ignorant. But he spake of the temple of his body. Or don't you know that your body is literally the temple of God? |
Michael547:I said I don't know if it is a parable. If Jesus Christ used the word parable then I wouldn't say I don't know. |
Michael547:Another foolish question. Jesus Christ said the born again will enter heaven, he did not say right now or give any timeline so how does this your question make any sense. |
Michael547:Lol see how dumb your question is because. What Jesus Christ said was very literal. |
Michael547:If I get your question, you are asking me to align what could have been a parable (did not literally happen) with what was not a story or a parable right? |
Michael547:Again you are talking nonsense. I can't align what I don't have evidence to where the evidence is clear. For example, you asking me to align the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to the parable of the talent. Only a mad man can do so. |
Michael547:Now to emphasize, even if you are telling a story of something in the future, it is always reported in past tense. Example It was the year 2080 that the third world war began If I say, the third world war will begin in the year 2080, it no longer qualifies as a story. I am helping you both spiritually and with your use of grammar ![]() |
Michael547:As I said, I don't know if it were a parable or true story. But Luke 13.28 was neither parable or story. Please let's use our education here. There is a reason why our parents paid fees |
Michael547:Oga, you don't tell a story in the future tense. The moment Jesus Christ said There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. It could no longer be a story. Please you went to school. This is very simple use of English or is your own bible in Igbo? Some of the previous verses could qualify as a story but the moment he began to speak in future tense, it stopped being a story. |
Michael547:And I answered it na so let's move on |
Michael547:Luke Luke 13.28 was not a story. Do you even know the meaning of a story oga. Please how is this a story. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. At least you went to school na |
Michael547:It was Jesus Christ that told you so, I only quoted his words. Again what in particular do you want me to explain please ask a clear question. |
Michael547:I don't understand your question. Why should I align them. That have very different messages. The story of the rich man and Lazarus could have been a parable but John 3:13, Luke 13:28 are clearly not parables. Why do you think the should be aligned? Do they tell the same message? Please explain yourself clearly. Wait oh. Are you saying that nothing Jesus Christ said was literal is that your point? |
Michael547:You have a great point here and you see I don't argue when you make good points so should I start asking my questions now |
Good....if the story of Jesus words are to be taken literally in Luke 13:23-28 as prophecy of a real life event, we can also also take all words of the story of Lazarus and the rich man as a real life event. If the story of Lazarus and the rich man was not a parable then it's literal. Do you think it was a parable? For me I don't know. But Luke 13.28 is not a parable So if the Abraham was not among the saints that resurrected with christ, please how can we align the statement of Jesus in John 3:13 and luke 13:28 with the parable of Lazarus and the rich man? As I said, we don't have the names of those who arose with Christ so this question is irrelevant. If we had the names, then we can entertain this question. Let's not ask foolish questions please |
Michael547:Oga, you are clearly over thinking and missing the truth. Is Enoch and Elijah are in heaven then you have no argument. This should answer your question. |
ok.....Reading from Luke 13:23-28, in verse 25, Did Jesus really mean that people would literally go to heaven and start knocking at the doors of heaven to get in and start crying outside the doors of heaven when they are not allowed go in? Do you think he was joking? Ok....you claim that Matthew said that it was after the resurrection of Jesus that saints began going to heaven to fit the idea of what Jesus said in John 3:13. Is Abraham among those saints that went to heaven after Jesus resurrection? If yes, when did Jesus story of the rich man and Lazarus and Abraham happen? If no, How do we explain what Jesus said in John 3:13? Where was Abraham in the story of the rich man and Lazarus?[/quote] Another foolish question. The names of the saints were not given. I never said Abraham was among these saints. I only gave this as a question. Please go back and read what I posted. Below are my words since you are too lazy to go back and read them. Remember, it was only after the resurrection of Christ that the saints rose from their grave. So Gods timetable isn't the same as your. How does your question relate to the topic please. |
Michael547:Again, is your game here to filibuster me so you never get to explain your beliefs. Oga at least, I have tried na. It's your turn to answer questions. Let's do it turn by turn. Biko ![]() |
Ok in that verse, Jesus Christ was talking about a future event so it is a prophecy. Is the Prophecy a future real life event? Does Jesus Christ give fake prophecies? All his prophecies are real. You claim that Luke 13:28 is proof that Abraham and other faithful men of old are born again and therefore Christians and are with christ in heaven......So it is important that we know when they went to heaven since Jesus statement was clear in John 3:13. So If We take Jesus words to be fact in John 3:13, When did the story of Lazarus and the rich man happen unless you have evidence that the story did not happen? It's of zero importance to know the date they went to heaven. I am a Christian too and I don't know the date I will go to heaven so what's the importance of knowing the date Abraham will go to heaven. Please explain how knowing the date Abraham went to heaven is evidence that the words of Jesus Christ is true. I really don't get your point here |
Michael547:I have been patient in answering your questions and teaching you. Don't you think it's only fair you start answering questions ![]() |
