You are angry with him because he does not support your candidate? Don't blame him. Many Nigerians are tired of APC, they want to try something new. Many are disappointed, they expected so much from APC, they voted 2x for the party, yet they have nothing good to show for it. So don't be angry with such people.

Love ya analysis...even in lagos Obi will win substantial amount of vote there believe me..tinubu can not I repeat cannot win lagos with 70%..
Many Yorubas are not going to reward APC with another 4 years after these terrible 8 years. The majority would still vote for Tinubu because he is their Brother but a good number don't care about him.
As for the north, Tinubu is not sellable. After 8 terrible years under APC, what reason does the average Northern have to vote for Tinubu? Remember, Atiku is from the north.

Lol . Keep living in delusion .I’m Christian and I’m voting Tinubu and so are many of people I know.

All this noise of Yoruba Christian not voting Tinubu is only an online things, and it’s being propagated by Peter obi supporters. If a Yoruba person won’t vote for him it won’t be because he’s Muslim or not. We’ve grown past that .
The truth is Tinubu would win the west but Peter Obi is also quite popular here. Many Yorubas would vote for him. At the end of the day, Tinubu would win the SW but Peter would come second with a good number of votes.
If the election was contested only in southern Nigeria, Peter Obi would be the clear winner. He would easily win the SE, come second in the SW and the SS would be between him and Atiku. But the North, I give it to Atiku. In the end, I see Atiku getting over 50% of the northern votes and up to 40% of the SS votes. This would be enough for him to win the election.

The truth is that this Peter Obi's movement is a strange one. No one knows what to really expect. He could come 4th or he might just win the thing. We have not seen a political movement like this before. The party has no structure, and Peter isn't pumping in money yet many Nigerians are warming up to him.

It won't work for 2 reasons.
1. There is political apathy in the SE. alot of individuals are not interested in Nigeria talkless of peter obi, that is why Atiku picked is running mate from the SS and not SE.
2. There is disunity among the upper class in the south east who thinks peter obi is just wasting his time. And some people will look at Anambra as a case study of what he has done. And alot of people don't like the few things he did there. At least Tinubu did somethings in Lagos and southwest which made him very very influential. But none has been reflected by obi. Hence. "A house that is divided can never stand"
You are wrong about Political apathy in the east. Lets company PVC collection in 5 western states (excluding Lagos) and the 5 eastern states
Western states Eastern states
Oyo 2,176,352 Abia 1,729,943
Ogun 1,694,867 Anambra 2, 071,714
Ondo 1,478,460 Enugu 1,787,537
Osun 1,266,587 Ebonyi 1,229,048
Ekiti 666,591 Imo 1,702,178

Total 7,282,857 Total 8,590,420
I did not count Lagos because it's hard to figure out what percentage of Lagos is Yoruba or Igbo. From the data, you see that SE is leading by over 1.3 million collected PVCs

Politics › How Peter Obi Became The Most Popular Politician In Nigeria In Just One Month by tctrills(op): 1:44pm On Jul 08, 2022
Just a month ago everyone was talking about Tinubu. The APC primary was just around the corner and Tinubu was battling to win. APC was the ruling party and the biggest party, so it made sense that everyone was focused on their primary. As for PDP, it was already clear that Wike had no chance so no one really cared.
Then Obi left PDP for the Labour party where he became the presidential flagbearer. At first, people spoke about him in whispers. Many saw him as an Igbo candidate. But gradually, we began to witness the rest of Nigeria accept him. He is now a major contender.
Its too early to know who would win but right now, its impossible to rule Obi off.

It is no longer news that Nigeria is at the crossroads. The people groan under economic hardship and insecurity.

Who do we blame for this ineptitude? Is it the sitting president or APC?

However, we must be objectivity in our criticism. It's an individual who is in charge at the centre and not the Party as an entity.

APC may be a good party but with the wrong choice at the centre. But you cannot completely condemn the party.
You guys are funny. You mean a good party produced an evil president and sold him to Nigerians, not once but twice.
If APC is such a great party, why didn't one single leader from the Party oppose Buhari at any time? Why didn't any APC leader stand with the rest of Nigerians during the endsars movement?
Why should any Nigerian trust APC this time?
Answer these 3 questions, my brother.

The latest release from INEC on 30th May, 2022 put voter registration as at the time as follows:
South East- 10,574,956;
South South- 14,226,471;
South West- 17,419,669.
Total South- 42,221,096.

North Central 14,388,386;
North East- 12,025,167;
North West- 21,215,186.
Total North- 47,628,739.

Gd Total- 89,849,835.

The last update of No of INEC Registered Voters of the Igbo of the South East with PVCs are as follows:

S/E Igbo with PVCs Residents- 10,574,956;
S/E Igbo with PVCs resident in the 19 Northern States + Abuja - 12,800,226;
S/E Igbo with PVCs resident in South South- 6,125,525
S/E Igbo with PVCs resident in the South West- 6,505, 555.

Total Igbo population nationwide with PVCs is 36,006262.

One can see that the Igbo of the South-East with PVCS nationwide are the highest in voter strength and spread. Well coordinated, the Igbo nation including the Igbo of Rivers, Anioma, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Kogi, Benue, and the very few in Bayelsa can almost alone produce the President of Nigeria.

.

Our friends,His Excellency Senator Kwakwanso and Sen Dino Melaye who have been speaking derogatorily to the Igbo, please take note.
This is fake news. INEC never released numbers based on tribal lines.

Willie Obiano was Governor under Buhari led Federal government amidst poor GDP, Oil, and Economic meltdown yet he was able to increase Anambra GDP from N3 trillion to 4.2 trillion in a space of 5years (from 2014-2019), and as at 2020 Anambra had a GDP of $12 billion and per capita income of $1750. Obiano kept Anambra State at top of the chart in fiscal performance (even more than Obi's administration); attracted highest foreign/local investments in the entire Southeast and southsouth region. Delivered series of capital projects which are today yielding immediate returns to the state.

Growing the state's IGR is just one small aspect. The IGR is the amount of money that goes to the government. If a governor increases tax the IGR goes up. It's no big deal. Obi saw no need to increase tax. He took the state to fiscal responsibility. Obiano remains the only Anambra governor with an EFCC case. he is a disgrace

Before Peter Obi, Unizik teaching hospital was the only accredited hospital in the state, when he left, 4 hospitals were accredited.
Before Peter Obi, there was no single foreign company in the state. He brought one to the state and 8 years after Obiano, it remains the only foreign company in the state.
Before Peter Obi, Anambra state was a gangster paradise. A sitting governor was kidnapped. For the entire last 4 years of Obi's rule, Anambra for the first time became the safest state in the country.
He improved Anambra's quality of education. The state became number one in the country. Obiano could not maintain that.
