frumentius: Maybe the Jordan donation is from the 250 Ratels they have in their inventory after donating some to Yemen.
Seriously though, why would Nigeria collaborate with little poor Jordan to extend the Aqaba Process from East Africa to West Africa? ECOWAS has adequate security arrangements for West Africa. I really miss the days when Africa had real leadership in Presidents Mbeki and Obasanjo.
Obasanjo and Buhari are both retired military men but RTD General Olusegun Obasanjo is a man who still has that military spirit in him.
Buhari is just gentle now. He's still the same man that occupied Chad.
Odunayaw: Since you said/It's obvious our NAF doctrine is interception
Building an integrated Radar coverage system would be our best bet...presently I know of the p13,p35 GCI radar and p17 height finder. then the recent Tin Shield You would agree with me that we should actually be on the hunt for APAR radars
DHQ be looking at us like. We are on top of the situation.
Odunayaw: If the doctrine is interception then they had better start reviewing the radars we have in service
Chinese SAMs are affordable a full Sky dragon battery with 4launchers is about 120-150m(educated guess)
Man, interception won't help us. SAMS keeps pilots busy. And I guess for you to be able to pull some maneuver against a missile, you'll need to drop your tanks. Once you drop those fuel tanks and you're still trying to maneuver in our airspace with additional missiles fired at you, you'll become short of range which means if your current fuel can't take you out, you'll have to agree to being forced to land.
2) if interception is also the doctrine with people posseing EW skills now. Our radars can easily be blinded till our most important airspace gets hit from an almighty km away.
NAF needs to work fast on SAMS. Just look at Botswana.
TrueHeart365: Egypt aside, the French in our backyard is a worry we are not doing something about.
The Nigerian military doctrine seems to be interception.. That's why they're more interested in buying aircrafts. For the past how many years, has the airforce talked about purchasing an effective air defence system?.
When we're talking about aircrafts, I don't mean some 3 units jf17. Most of our air bases have no aircrafts stationed in them. One thing I'll keep saying is after this jf17, we still need another type of fighter to combine force and that's why I'll always go for a flanker or J-10 because I don't know who will be talking about a Mig 29 to complement a jf17.
Chinese SAMS are equally not cheap but we can do with at least 3 units for now.
The attitude of purchasing in small units is getting annoying.
DONADAMS: I know bro,,,cos its like championship and EPL...that's if u follow football...EPL players earn more buh seems the reverse is the case in boxing.. You didn't answer my question BTW
Anthony Joshua seems new in the game. I recently got to know about him so that should contribute to why Floyd is richer.
A quick search on Google couldn't show his net worth but this website claims he's got the potential of being the first billionaire fighter.
DONADAMS: Hmmmmm..but why doesn't this guy have as much money as maywhethercos I understand he fights in a higher category!...dunno know about boxing sha
At a time, when you're rich you will stop caring about being richer than someone else.
bidexiii: I don't know , anybody that can help answer the question....
Just curious what their work will be in operation python dance. You ain't firing at civilians with A-jets. More of show of force and not for any combat use.
In line with its commitment to national peace and security, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed some of its air assets, including the Alpha Jet aircraft, to its 115 Special Operations Group in Port Harcourt, to support the ongoing Nigerian Army’s Exercise EGWU EKE II (PYTHON DANCE II). The essence of the deployment is to provide the necessary air cover to the ground troops to enhance overall operational cohesion and efficiency.
It would be recalled the operation began officially on 15 September 2017 and was planned to cover the entire South East Region of the country. The wide expanse of the exercise area and the request by the Nigerian Army for close air support made the involvement of the NAF inevitable. Exercise EGWU EKE II is aimed at combatting security challenges in the Southeastern part of the country. The deployment of the air assets in support of the Nigerian Army is thus in fulfillment of one of the constitutional mandates of the NAF.
nemesis4u: let me tell u this with some degree of conviction
the refugee crisis in Europe, many blame it on me/rkel but she was forced
Europe will spend the next 50 years dealing with the refugee problems
america/n will never tolerate weakening of dollar , hint euro was being propped up as a alternative
u control economy -> u control information -> u control everything
as long as dollar remains the currency of trade , U/S economy will remain strong and hence influensive
only way ame/rica can fall is like that of USSR ie internally
even china is not a option our studies show africa/central asia will suffer most -the long term loans will bite back very hard
very short sighted measures on the part of the African governments
sri lanka , maldives etc r the best case studies of recent days to understand this. ru kidding me 100 years lease to wipe of loan debts , after 100 years what will remain ?
anyways internal matters is not my business , just saying my mind
Is the US forcing polices on her allies?
Still wonder how these sovereign nations are too clingy onto US rules. Israel seems to be the only one here capable of freeing herself from some US policies.
bayooooooo: Lol. If this is your understanding of what publications is, then why am I even having this chat with you?
1. In a publication process, you can't claim to have published what is under review be it a journal article or a patent. You claimed to have three patents which implied you had been granted the patents. So where can we read the patents? You seem to confuse a seal with an actual patent, is like a student who confuses a certificate with an academic transcript. A seal is one thing, the real patent which contains the description of an invention is another. Where can we find that?
2. A review process can take as long as the process entails, but once a patent is granted, it becomes a public property such that it should be accessible to public. You should at least have a copy of YOUR own patent. Why can't you share that with us?
bayooooooo: No. Truth is I don't even have time to write comments on Nairaland as I would have loved to do. But what he is doing is very dangerous, and if we leave people like him unchallenged, we imperil the future of genuine geniuses that might come out of Nigeria. We should stop promoting mediocrity with such nonsense byline as "let's encourage Nigerians, the young ones etc". You can't claim to be a superstar, and then play victim when you are asked to live up to expectations.
How can you claim three patents when none of it is accessible to anyone? Isn't it the same thing going on in our universities where a professor would claim tons of publication published in a remote journal not accessible to peers around the world? How has that helped us as a nation? Why can't we compete with the rest of the world?
Journal:a newspaper or magazine that deals with a particular subject or professional activity. Patent:a government authority or licence conferring a right or title for a set period, especially the sole right to exclude others from making, using, or selling an invention.
I own no journal neither do I have any publication on any. Do those professors own any inventions?
Common sense says: patents publications are being updated into database after up to 18 months. Is a patent sealed last year August up to 18 months?
You have access to the internet but and still lack knowledge?
bayooooooo: The guy is another fraud, or appropriately another Emegweali in the making.
1. Why is it that none of the claimed patents are online? I have searched everywhere just to read the patents, no links etc. 2. How often do undergraduates write patents? 3. Who are his research collaborators? How many patents are written by a sole individual? And how likely is it for an undergraduate without publications to solely write a patent? 4. If he is indeed a student in China, why is he filing patents in Nigeria? Why not China? What qualifies as patent in Nigeria might be classified as utter rubbish in China.
1)How many Nigerian patents are online? 2) How often do undergraduate write patents? Is patent a research study you write anyhow? Patents comes after inventions. The first one was sealed in 2016. 3) you need no publication to write a patent. 4) SAU aerospace engineering student China. Filing for a patent in my Nigeria is a choice. I am Nigerian and only acquired knowledge in China. Are unverified claims accepted as patents?
We are talking about patents with tested prototypes.
soleexx: Its nice...I currently have 15 accepted Innovation with me now without patent...I hope all works out well for me..
You can work on your patent. It takes almost 6 months for the original certificate with a seal to be out.
Make it a global patent as this will protect your IP anywhere in the world. The application process depends on what you need a patent for. At times, you might need a security clearance from the ONSA office if your innovation is security related.
Eke40seven: No, I am not talking about that, I just see some claims as bogus. Of course other things claimed to have been accomplished by the 18 year old might be true but largest telecommunications..... Errr..
Since I knew about Philip Emeagwali's bogus claims and scams I do try to cross check things, especially the ones that seemingly look to good to be true.
This isn't Philip Emeagwali. Telecommunications Equipment manufacturers in Nigeria please list them maybe the company can get your point. He holds 4patents with 3 on Radio frequency tech products and one on Radar Absorbing Materials.
