abiodunalasa:Those are REVA MRAPS. Purchased from South Africa. In the last picture is the Chinese caprivi MRAP. |
Said it no once that policing secured area in North East has not been managed well by the authorities. Rann recently got attacked and 3 UN workers were killed. Casualties on both sides too. Now tell me, as a relatively safe area with IDPs, how was BHT able to infiltrate? Bokoharam shouldn't be able to attack military outpost /FOB /IDPS in areas where military has control of. |
dvkot:x-squad and others are the ones Incharge of cyber crime and investigation. MOPOL /NPF SFis the equivalent of SWAT. As bad in behavior /etcas they seems to be, they have specialized teams under that same unit too.
|
abiodunalasa:You can initiate detonation of any size with through a remote link. |
bidexiii:Remote controlled IEDs seems to be common over there. |
Pipedreams:Everything isn't about shithole please. |
I'm lost here.

When the guy tried burning the vehicle, the reaction of the people around ![]() |
Donlijez:Haven't watched it but I'm doubting it already. With budget thst hasn't been approved yet and others still defending? |
abiodunalasa:That's definitely his area. Some are fighting along with the military and some are deployed in communities liberated to police the area. Plus the military last year established a presence 20km or so from every police outpost for fast response. Just like the director of information said this morning "we have other duties so once a town is safe, we always handover to sister agencies" Your big brother looks young. May God protect him over there.
|
abiodunalasa:I refuse to agree that the entire NE AOR is under the military. I know of some guys who just came back. A former orderly to my. MOPOL have little presence in NE compared to CTU does and some are on the battlefield. They even armed them with LMG. Thousands of police officers are currently being deployed to NE. Their job remains safeguard the communities. They're not deployed to highly tensed area and plus the MOPOl squadron performed woefully against BHT which is why they were being replaced by CTU. MOPOL have most of their arms looted by BHT then which caused an issue between them and the military on whose weapon is bokoharam using at a point. Plus, BHT were mostly seen with their bullet vest. A town like DAPCHI had a police team in it with military presence only at checkpoints. Even towns that are very much affected by bokoharam still have police presence. One of their deployment was when BHT ambushed their convoy few months ago. DAPCHI was a safe town before the abduction. |
newafricaken254:8 fighters for what? All these people and military show off. After all only one will be there to shoot down the jet if there's need . |
maasoap:The guy had a gear on. Which can't be removed easily by the mobs. If the other officers fire 4-6 carnister of tear gas, you'll all leave him. If you don't, they'll be forced to shoot which is totally acceptable as per law of engagement. Do you think if it was the military, several heads won't be rolling already? Life is something precious so it's never adviceable to argue with an armed officer. Plus that's lagos, it won't take long before more police backup comes into the area. |
On DAPCHI. This isn't the time for the military and police to start accusing each other. As a relatively safe place, the Nigerian police has failed woefully in securing that community as the main law enforcement and para military agency in Nigeria. As a community, the Nigerian police desierves to have the fastest response time in such circumstance and the military failed woefully because of a poor response time. Watching the director of information live call on AIT this morning, he claimed they never heard about it and immediately they got notified of bokoharam presence, they immediately deployed officers but informations didn't get to them very fast. He said military detachment could have intercepted them if they had passed through roads but as group of attackers, they passed through open spaces without checkpoints. Here's why the police takes the biggest blame. The military detachment in such area was deployed to a town around the Nigerian border. As a community, police presence should always be available with or without a military checkpoint. If there was a police presence in such area, immediately after observing the presence of BHT, you don't even need to engage if you're not capable. There's a reason why the man with the radio is the most dangerous in a battlefield as he can turn around any situation. Send a radio broadcast to your own team if there's no interoperability. The police HQ can contact the theater command which will deploy military operatives immediately. This scenario shows why bokoharam still has the gut to attack towns being liberated by military or being declared as safe. There's a bad policing of communities and town. |
jakeporeshenko:Said it here before. Have met with some of them before as my school has a good affiliation with PLAAF. We also have engineers over there too. |
Nigerian law enforcement agencies again? They are very unprofessional in communication with civilians. Putting more emphasy on their uniform and guns than their duty. The problem is most Nigerian play into their hands. At Lagos island few months ago, I was approached by some officers and then requesting to search my bad. Looking at the DSP who was Incharge, I responded by addressing him by his rank and name Sir, you have no right to do so and if you're willing to continue forcefully, which is against your employee ethics and PSC conduct then be ready to dance to the tune. It was all a way to get back at him with no idea about the damn code of conduct. Once you start addressing those officers with oga, boss, smiling face etc, then you should be ready for their inhumane part. |
lionel4power:This is the Nigerian Airforce. You are ordered to land or we will shoot you down. ![]() |
nemesis4u:I don't even know how NAF maintenance is being done. 4-5 A-Jets were recently deployed for their search while the F-7s are in Markurdi AFB for 3 hours maintenance. Plus they just deployed 3 ISR platforms. 2 ATR and 1 beechcraft so I doubt those aircrafts were not available to be deployed. Should take less than 30 minutes to deploy to Yobe from anywhere the ISR is being housed. |
Half Of Dapchi Schoolgirls Taken To Niger Republic https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/half-of-dapchi-schoolgirls-taken-to-niger-republic.html Can someone tell me how long after the kidnap ops started did the military get to know about it? ISR should have been deployed immediately. IMO, first response should have been immediate deployment of ISR platform. Later deployment means we will need additional Intel especially HUMINT which may not be readily available. In as much as I praise the Nigerian military for their action and grounds towards ISWAP and BHT, it's no doubt that they really flopped. An abduction will either lead to a SWAP or ransom except you're willing to make them a statistics of collateral damages. |
jakeporeshenko:According to the Nigerian firearm act and law, the inspector general of police doesn't have the right to ban the use of licenced firearm throughout the country. Only the president can issue such order. The IG reserve the right to either issue or not to an individual and the c-i-c order stays above his. The President if he thinks fit may at any time by proclamation prohibit the possession of or dealing in any firearms or ammunition, either throughout the Federation or in any part thereof, and either absolutely or except subject to such restrictions or conditions as may be specified. Such proclamation from the President may require the surrender of firearms and ammunition within a specified time and to a specified authority, and any person neglecting to make such surrender, or being in possession of or dealing in any firearm or ammunition during the period that such proclamation is in force, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a penalty of one thousand naira or imprisonment for two years, or to both such fine and imprisonment. |
jakeporeshenko:Abeg, this is the same news like all road blocks are to be removed, no police checkpoint should be present on highway except patrol. Still same thing. |
LordIsaac:No intelligence gathering? What are those aircrafts for? Those are ISR aircrafts. |
![]() Nigerian banks were facing several cyber security threats so Henry had to concentrate on his work to avoid a billion naira slip off. ![]() |

It's obvious OP is a private university product. ![]() @Topic Who gives a damn about the certificate you hold? There are alot of polytechnic / college of education graduates doing better in terms of practical knowledge than University graduates. Nigerians and unnecessary arguments. |
jteku:Let see review from the military. Apart from that, that's some intimidating MRAP out there. ![]() |
Odunayaw:NNSBS is a standard SF. AFSF standard sef never reach their own. NAF SF squads in my opinion are just officers trained to be highly skilled than the rest. Someone ones used this statement here "all operators are SF but not all SF are operators" I guess this summarise it. |

jakeporeshenko:Yes. Looks like some sort of warhead. |
jakeporeshenko:Another question. Where did bokoharam get that? |
