Politics › Re: APC Divided Over Tinubu’s Demand For Oyegun, NWC Exit by Tecno66: 11:47am On Feb 26, 2018 |
Tony Momoh should shut up. I thought he should have been stoned by now. On the issue of Tinubu, I think he is trying to pull the strings now he realises that they have suddenly remembered that they need him to cross the finishing line in the 2019 elections. nairavsdollars: *NWC Needs Not Resign For Tinubu To Do His Job — Tony Momoh *They Either Resign Or Not Interfere In His Assignment – Sagay Temidayo Akinsuyi and Ojo Oyewamide As the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu are locked in a battle of wits over the ongoing reconciliation of aggrieved party members, indications emerged at the weekend that majority of party members are divided over the request of the former Lagos State governor that the John Odigie-Oyegun led executive must vacate office to allow him do the job assigned him by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The president had on February 6 appointed Tinubu to lead an APC consultation, reconciliation and confidence building team toward improving cohesion in the party ahead of the general election in 2019. However, Tinubu, in a letter of complaint to Odigie-Oyegun, and copied President Buhari accused the party chairman of sabotaging his reconciliation efforts. The letter, entitled, ‘Actions and conduct weakening the party from within’, was also copied Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President Bukola Saraki and House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara. Odigie-Oyegun, who later met President Buhari in a closed-door meeting, said he will continue to give Tinubu all the needed support in his assignment. A source in the party, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the feeling of some members of the party is that while Tinubu should be given all he requires to carry out his assignment successfully, he should not take undue advantage of the situation to get even with Odigie-Oyegun and other exco members. “I can tell you that there is division within the APC camp over Tinubu’s request that the Oyegun-led exco must vacate office in place of a caretaker committee. Many of our members believe the reconciliation team should be given free hand to carry out its task without inhibition especially given the fact that the election is just around the corner. “Though we are not sure of what transpired between Oyegun and the president last week, we believe President Buhari should consider the interest of the party first and not allow some few individuals constitute an impediment to the peace building process.
“However, there are others who believe that Tinubu is trying to take advantage of the opportunity given him to punish Oyegun who he has been having a running battle with. These ones believe that he can carry out the assignment without asking the NWC to resign”, he said.
Also speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Prof. Itse Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), said the Oyegun-led exco should either resign or refrain from interfering in Tinubu’s assignment like they are currently doing as stated in Tinubu’s letter.
“Yes, I think they rather resign or if they will remain in office, they should not just interfere in what he is doing and give him a free hand in carrying out his responsibility. There is no doubt that the National Working Committee of APC will need very, very drastic changes for the party to win the 2019 election. They will need a very dynamic and different purposeful leaders if they will make an impact on both the party and the country”, Sagay said However, Prince Tony Momoh, a national leader of APC, said Oyegun and his exco need not resign for Tinubu to do his job. He added that Tinubu never insisted that he cannot do the job until the NWC quit office.
“Tinubu never said he won’t carry out the reconciliation tasks until Oyegun and other members of the NWC resign. The constitution provides for who becomes a member of the NWC and then provides for exit from office. So, if they are going to leave, it will be through due process.
“Tinubu never said members of the NWC must resign before he does his job. He went to the party secretariat, they held a meeting and they all decided to work together.
“Where did the people get this impression that unless they resign, Tinubu cannot succeed in his task? To me, resigning or no resigning is not a condition for doing the work of reconciliation”, he said.
DAILY INDEPENDENT had last week reported that the genesis of the current crisis between the two party stalwarts was a result of a request by Tinubu that the NWC vacates office and allow the setting up of a national caretaker committee which will be headed by Chief Bisi Akande, Tinubu’s ally and former interim national chairman of the APC.
A member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) said Tinubu during the closed door meeting he had with them during his visit to the party secretariat had asked them to resign as a way of finding a lasting solution to the intractable crisis rocking the party.
“I am not surprised by the current letter written by Asiwaju Tinubu. During his visit to the party secretariat, he had asked us members of the NWC led by Chief Oyegun to resign but we told him that is impossible since our tenure will end in June.
“We later understood he wanted to install a caretaker committee headed by Chief Bisi Akande, thereby having his structures in charge of the party. That I can tell you is the genesis of the crisis”, he said.

The lawmaker reportedly rejected the baby and allegedly said the lady can't do anything about it.
The matter was brought on social media in order to get the lawmaker's attention.

God punish Michael Enyong, he thought he can go free. This idiot arrested me and detained me for 5days because I exposed what he did and told him to go and carry his baby. Thank God for CSP Olugun Gideon, who spoke the truth, his money cannot jail me, he has failed.
This man impregnated this ladies and abandoned her, few days ago, the woman put to birth, all he did was to send 100000 through his brother Pastor Okokon to the woman at port Harcourt, as i was going to visit the woman, he sent police to track me and arrest..Michael Enyong is a wicked man.
Weeks ago, he arrested his cousin just because the cousin demanded money from him, the money that he worked for him. My God shall fetch you out.

Politics › Re: Senate Crisis: ‘rebel’ Group Emerges As Saraki Adopts Fire-for-fire Approach by Tecno66: 11:35am On Feb 24, 2018 |
Na now day break. yns4real: The crisis over reordered election sequence has led to the emergence of a ‘rebel group’ in the Senate, multiple sources told Daily Trust. The group which claimed to have the backing of the Presidency emerged after marathon meetings held at the residence of a former governor in Abuja.
It was gathered that the final meeting where the formation of the group was perfected held at the middle of the week. The membership of the group was said to have swelled from 14 to around 40 senators.
Daily Trust reliably gathered that the membership of the group was drawn from both the North and South. It also cut across party divide as there were claims that both members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are in the group.
The agenda of the currently-unnamed group, according to a member who does not want to be named, is “two-in-oneâ€Â. The emergence of the group has since created apprehension in the camp of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
It was reliably gathered that it was when the loyalists of Saraki got the wind of the formation of the group, they orchestrated the removal of ranking senator, Abdullahi Adamu as the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum (NSF).
Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State was removed as NSF chair, a week after he led 10 of his colleagues to protest the passage of the reordered election sequence. His removal was announced via a letter by Senator Dino Melaye, spokesperson of the NSF.
Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu who presided over the plenary on Wednesday announced the sacking. Before that, another opponent of the election sequence change, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege (APC, Delta) was marked for suspension.
Omo-Agege incurred the wrath of the power brokers in the senate over his statement that the reordered election sequence was targeted at President Mohammadu Buhari. He is being probed by the Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions Committee.
The point of order by Senator Malam Ali Wakili (APC, Bauchi) on Thursday revealed that a crack now exists at the Upper Chamber. He said the removal of Adamu did not follow due process.
Speaking to Daily Trust, a member of the new group said: “We resolved to form this group because we realised that the chamber has derailed. As elders, we cannot just watch. We’re over 40 now and we have gotten high-powered endorsement. The Presidency, Asiwaju and some key governors who are friends of the President have endorsed us.†He declined to name the key promoters and leaders of the group.
He said: “Our agenda is one, to promote the policies and legislation that would enable President Buharisucceed. A similar group will emerge at the House of Reps next week. They are sabotaging the President at the Senate and we want to stop this. Politics aside, the country must be properly placed on the right track of development.†He added that the sack of Adamu was part of the plot to break the ranks of the northern senators.
A source in the camp of the Senate President said they have adopted a fire-for-fire approach to confront the group. “They met on Tuesday and they were only 14. We are aware that they are plotting with a section of the Presidency. In power game, you have to assert your authority,†he said.
Saraki’s media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, responded: “There’s nothing like that. The Senate is compact, and there is no division.â€Â

Story. Reportmusic: https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/ep16-891x470.jpg A Lagos based nurse and mother of four, explains how she found her death certificate in the vehicle of her husband and father of her children.
She shared this experience with a Nigerian OAP Toke Makinwa who posted it on her Twitter account. The message reads: “I am in very sad mood, I feel used and rejected, I feel so terrible, I am married with four kids and I always felt I am married to the best man in the world.
I am registered Nurse in a Government hospital here I Lagos, while he is a dentist.
Our plan has always been that when our first child finishes primary school, we will relocate to the US.
About a year ago, my husband started dating a lady in her late 30s. I saw her messages and challenged him after which he appologised and I forgave him.
However, to my surprise, he came home late on Friday night and slept very early on Saturday. I drove his car out to refill the gas. I saw an envelope in his car.
Inside this envelope, was his passport with US visa on it and the lady’s own with US visa. I saw the form he used to fill his visa application.
In the form, he said his wife was late and my death certificate was attached and his wedding certificate with the lady was also attached.
In the form, he wrote out all our children’s name but he claimed their mother was late. I made a photocopy of all the documents and returned the documents.
I nearly ran mad. He observed that I have been so cold lately and he has been asking what the matter is.
What should I do? How should I accept this level of wickedness and traitor attitude?
Please Mummies, advise me before I do something drastic” https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/5BUNSET5D-10-9-768x925.jpg source https://www.reportnaija.ng/2018/02/19/wife-finds-death-certificate-husbands-car/

Politics › Re: 2019 Elections: Looters Using Stolen Money To Fight Buhari - Muslim Group, MURIC by Tecno66: 1:00pm On Feb 19, 2018 |
This, coming from a muslim group coupled with the fact that Ahmed Tinubu, Raji Fashola, Rauf Aregbeshola and co. are all muslims comfirms to me the conspiracy that got us where we are today. It is clear now that a yoruba muslim will rather go with a northern muslim that with a fellow yoruba man who is not a muslim. Power of religion you may say. stephanie11: @POLITICSNGR
The Muslim rights concern group has called on Nigerians to open their eyes wide as they approach the 20199 general elections, adding that looters are using stolen money to de-market President Muhammadu Buharij
In a statement made available to PoliticsNGR, signed by the director of the group, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the group disclosed that the allegations of bias, nepotism, and incompetence are all part of a plot by corrupt elements to demarket Buhari. The statement read;
"Former South African president, Jacob Zuma, was forced out of office last week for corruption charges. The South African Supreme Court had in October 2017 upheld about 800 corruption charges against Zuma before his party, the African National Congress (ANC) ordered him to quit. Although Zuma defied the order ab initio, he resigned on the eve of a parliamentary vote of no confidence.
Zuma’s exit from power is very didactic. It reveals South Africa’s mature democratic practice where a president is booted out for being corrupt whereas in Nigeria, our own president is being pressurized to leave office for fighting corruption.
Here lies the monumental paradox. The outside world must be laughing at Nigeria as they watch the unfolding drama. Two former heads of state have openly asked President Muhammadu Buhari not to seek a second term. The National Assembly (NASS) is also fighting tooth and nail to get rid of the president as many of its members are enmeshed in corruption cases.
But Buhari’s major selling point has been his incorruptibility. He has no house in London. None in Paris or any foreign country for that matter. Neither has any stolen fund been traced to him before and during his tenure. He has succeeded in blocking leakages through which our common patrimony has been siphoned into the private pockets of greedy politicians. Foreign countries endorse him as a leader of unassailable integrity and the naira is getting back its lost glory as a result of all these. Prices of goods are falling.
Diversification of the economy is turning other sectors into veritable sources of income. The railways are roaring back. Agriculture is once again taking its prime of place, electricity supply is witnessing unprecedented improvement while macadam roads are fast replacing the death traps which claimed hundreds of lives on a regular basis. Buhari’s social welfare scheme is already taking care of thousands of Nigerian youths.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) urges Nigerians to open their eyes very wide. Those who stole Nigeria’s money have become very powerful and they are using their stolen money to spread false propaganda to de-market Buhari. All the allegations of nepotism, religious bias and incompetence are tales from moonlight concocted by corrupt elements who want to bring back corruption.
For blocking their access to easy money, they wished Buhari dead. Based on their knowledge of the potency of the alleged gas poison conspiracy theory, they said Buhari was on life-support machine. They claimed he was dead and secretly buried. They made the claims with so much vehemence and total confidence that, with hindsight, we are constrained to believe that only those involved in the alleged attempt could have made such strong claims.
But when all that failed they are now trying to incite the populace against him. They claimed that herdsmen were killing travelers on Lagos-Ibadan expressway. They also claimed that the same herdsmen were slaughtering people like rams on Shagamu-Ore expressway. Now they are claiming that herdsmen have attacked workers in Ondo council office. But police debunked all these false alarms within hours.
We reaffirm our conviction that it was corruption that brought poverty and disease to the Nigerian nation. Corruption was responsible for the bad roads. Corruption robbed us of a reliable public health and transport system. Corruption brought death in the air via frequent plane crashes. Corruption wrecked the Nigerian Airways and the Nigerian Railway Corporation. Corruption is responsible for insecurity. Corruption caused mass unemployment. Corruption turned the education sector into a comatose environment. This enemy numero uno is now being tackled by the Buhari administration. Who wants all these evils to come back?
To cap the edifice, we testify that we have seen signs that corruption is receiving deadly blows from the Buhari administration and it may eventually die for our great country to survive if we give Buhari the chance to consolidate on the present gains. If it is true that South Africa expelled its corrupt president for the sake of South Africa, Nigeria must retain its incorruptible leader for the sake of Nigeria."

Crime › Re: UNN Security Officer Assassinated By Cultists (Graphic Photos) by Tecno66: 6:29am On Feb 19, 2018 |
Do these ones even know a day is coming when man will account for all his actions? I think the security in the school should be withdrawn and replaced with military men. PrettyCrystal: A security officer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka - has been gruesomely assassinated by unknown assailants suspected to be cultists. The security personnel simply identified as Chinedu a.k.a Edu - was known for his ruthlessness towards cultists and other criminal elements at the institution.
He was attacked and butchered like an animal by yet-to-be identified attackers who left him dead in the pool of his blood.
May his soul rest in peace.

Rayd502: The decision by Biggie is too harsh...Housemates will now be too cautious depriving the show of unpredictable and sudden twist.
This will go down as the most boring BBN... I think they deserve it for allowing alcohol to make them loose focus. Why insult your parents on live tv? Infact they should be made to pay for all the food and drinks they took since the competition started before they are allowed to go home. |
Politics › Re: Why President Buhari Is The Best For Nigeria - Lai Mohammed by Tecno66: 8:15pm On Feb 18, 2018 |
Splinz: No doubt, one of the worst mistake any government could make is to have people like Liar Mohammed around its corridors.
Grandpa is just a disgrace and unrepentant sycophant!
SMH. I dont understand Nigerian economics. The only country in the world where they say inflation is droping yet prices are going up. Maybe I have forgotten the meaning of inflation. |
